There was a leak that kept falling on my head. I didn’t feel the waiter was attentive to the issue.
Food was great. Service was horrible. Last minute I had an extra person added to my rsvp and they made it a huge deal and flat out told me the extra person could not be seated. I argued with them and finally they added another chair to our table.
They are too strict about the number of ppl and don’t realize that at the end of the day — not every rsvp is a business dinner.
I’m not sure where to begin. My friend and I both have allergies. Mine is white fish and hers is pineapple. I travel all over the world for my job and I’m very clued up with Zuma. The one is london is great if you ever have chance to visit. I came to miami to visit my friend and eat some good food. We are both chefs so when we get a Friday night off we use it wisely. I thought Zuma was a great choice. So it’s starts off with us making it clear about our allergies. Then the waitress comes back to confirm that we want to do the omakase and will have to check with the chef because of the allergies. She’s then returns to ask me. The chef said are you allergic to the colour or the fish? Ermm excuse me?! I don’t even know what that means! I’m allergic to ALL WHITE FISH. And I start listing off all the fish. At this point my friend is already angry. And I’m laughing because I can’t quit understand what I was asked. So dinner happens. To be honest the food was meh! The drinks were ok. The meal goes on. And the sushi course comes and there is white fish sitting next to the other fish I can eat. I brush it off as a mistake and eat around the white fish. We get through the meal and the dessert fruit plate comes out with pineapple all over it. At this point we are both angry. But I still can’t understand what’s happening. We are both in the industry and take allergies very seriously when people come to our restaurants. This is not something people should take lightly. The manager had no clue how to handle the situation. I think Zuma needs to re train all there servers and managers oh and the kitchen on allergies and how important and life threatening they can be. Before something serious happens. We won’t be back obviously not just because of the allergy situation but because the food and drinks were meh and not worth the money.
Very good overall
Had a $3000 bill. Issue with one thing and would not assist
Fantastic all around
Wonderful evening out, starting at the bar - Bruce made delicious cocktails and was fantastic! The meal was incredible, our server Karina was friendly and knowledgeable, we will definitely be back to do the tasting menu.
Wait staff are below standard. One member besides the waiter said good evening. Check in was unwelcoming. Had to ask for more water when glass was empty twice even though staff kept walking by looking at me and the table. Was not like this 3 years ago.
For such an upscale and expensive restaurant, you would expect the service to be so much better. The hostess and actual server were nice, but some of the other people working there need to be trained a bit better. The plates are small and one of the bussers tried twice to take plates away from our table when we weren't finished. It seems like they are in such a hurry to get you out of there.
We ordered 3 beef tenderloins (1 medium and 2 medium rare) and when a food runner came to drop off one of them, we asked how it was cooked and he had no idea! So strange... literally had to wait while he went back in to check. We also asked for some extra spicy flakes and they completely forgot. Again this wouldn't matter at a normal restaurant, but Zuma is VERY pricey so you expect top notch service.
Overall for the price, I wouldn't recommend. There are so many better restaurants to choose from in Miami.
Too loud, server couldn’t hear when I asked for another roll and brought dessert menu
Amazing food. Love to find a restaurant that their quality in always de same over the years. Service also great.
Food was delicious. Waitress was not very nice. Too noisy!
my coworker and I went for spice and ti celebratemy birthday. Food and service was amazing. Chef gave an extra treat for my birthday that was a nice surprise & very tasty. Portions were smaller that expected except for the Beef skewers and Jumbro Prawn that were a good portion. Desserts were amazing too and the wine recommend..were have 2 glasses each of that. Parking is not the best though...expensive valet especially of you drive big car. I think given the cost to dine...they should give a better discount in valent since self parking is not available
The food was amazing and the service exceptional
yes, of course !
Very good place. Very good foods
Simply The Best
Excellent upscale Japanese. Always a place to be seen and people watch with some of the best food around whether Miami or London. Excellent Bar or outdoor seating.
The dishes are very good, however, the service is sluggish.
Our lunch took over 2 hours, which is completely unacceptable. After we had entree it took another hour for our dessert. Our server came to our table with the desserts then said they were melted never came back. We saw her serving others and doing other work. The miso soup tasted like it had sand in it, the salad was far too bitter, and after the hour wait our dessert was more melted than before. Our server apologized but the hostess didn't seem to care.
El Restaurant se ha mantenido igual. Creo deben renovar
We did the Miami spice menu, group of 9. Franco(?) Frank (?) was our server was attentive, but not OTT. We had everything on the menu. Everything was excellent,
The octopus, skewered beef bites, sushi, ribs (OMG), chicken, prawns - awesome flavors! Yum!
Dessert choices were great, my favorite - blood orange sorbet with ginger infused panna cotta. I am going back!!
Amazing food, fresh sushi! Excellent service!
Quality sushimi and the best chicken ever. Dessert was delicious panna cotta. Great table/view/and one of the very best kitchens in Miami. Sophisticated but primarily exotic & healthy cooking. Service was also excellent.
We’ve ordered from Miami Spice menu. Didn’t like octopus but everything else was great.
Manager, Adam, was completely unprofessional and is not ready to be in the hospitality industry.
All else was great
I know this sounds a little off the usual review, but got stood up for date and I would have had a little better time but the reservation showed only one person when it was 2 before. So just a comment if ur a hostess that would make people in my situation feel better if it wasn’t changed. Other than that I would recommend going and definitely plan 1-2 days in advance to get the seating you want but even 4 hours before reservation and I got good seating overall besides my misfortunes 9/10 !
Amazing!!! The best birthday dinner ever!! The food was top quality!! I’ve never tasted food better than Zuma!
Amazing food and our server was excellent. We asked for his opinion between two cocktails and he was able to give such great detail about his recommendation. It turned out to be one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.
Amazing food, amazing service by Joshua.
The only minus - line cook with a phone.
Awesome service. Delicious food
We started with a couple of cocktails. The Japanese Penicillin was excellent and I liked the Writings on the Wall too. For our Miami Spice appetizers, we started with salmon tartare and octopus. We loved the salmon tartare with rice chips. Though the flavor of the octopus was excellent, I was surprised that it was very chewy. The Chef's maki was excellent particularly the spicy yellowtail. Our entrees were very disappointing, following the server's recommendation we ordered the tiger prawn and the ribs. Unfortunately, both were overcooked and a bit tough. The miso caramel cake for dessert was fantastic. Overall, the food and preparation was a bit of a roller coaster. The excellent service we received was a saving grace for the meal. It's a decent place to eat though the low tables placed close to others and loud music aren't really my vibe.
Great taster menu with lots of variety and delicious foods! Even for those that don’t eat all raw foods, everyone loved everything. The dresser is insane!
A little bit crowded but not as tight as the Zuma in Vegas as far as table spacing. The cocktails are AMAZING.
Giving it 4 starts because 2 of the 3 couples had their credit cards double charged, which is weird for Zuma.
Understanding that it’s September in Miami and not everyone is on their game. We have frequented Zuma many times. Usually reasonably consistent, but this visit was not.
Waiters, servers, area managers kept bumping our chairs. Even moved the table. Really!
Food was unusually pedestrian. Cod and shrimp dumplings were fishy. Baby chicken salty and mushy. And no more ribs. This is not a bad review. Just an ok review. Lots of other great restaurants in Miami. This one just moved lower on our list. Valet was even a bit overwhelmed.
Always great and specially the kindness of the reception and the service. We were served by Ashton who was extremely kind and professional.
Probably the worst Zuma experience!!
I tend not to get to hung up on these things but sometimes when your paying a premium and you get a McDonald’s service a few words need to be said!
We booked a table in advance but they put us on the sushi bar, anyone who knows Zuma knows the Sushi bar is where they put people who can’t get a table!
Secondly the service was terrible, they served the white rice after the mains, i mean wow that’s special service rite there!
Overall just a terrible service, definitely not recommending this to anyone I know and certainly the last time I go to Zuma Miami.
Spice menu is great. Food delicious. Two issues; server was cleaning table while one person still eating ( nothing like a moist towel to spoil a meal); $6 for an iced tea is a lot, but another $6 for a refill unconscionable!!
They said that because I made the reservation through open table the only seating available was at the sushi bar. If I wanted a regular table I had to wait 45 minutes
