Zuma Japanese Restaurant - Miami Ratings and Reviews
As a diner for over 10 years at that restaurant .... I was never more disappointed !! The food was awful from start to finish no taste under cooked n believe it or not ?? The Tuna tartar wasn’t fresh
For Zuma not to have fresh tuna was beyond me especially with the price they charge you
Have 2 other reservations this month which for sure I’m canceling n will not go to that Restaurant in a while .
Much better Restaurants for the price that you’re gone pay in Miami ......
Service was OK forgot few orders ( thank god ) n too “fake” trying too hard to serve you without 100% knowledge of the food n how they’re served !!
Overall it was an amazing experience, food and cocktails were great. The only downside was that I made a reservation for 9:00 PM and I had to wait almost an hour to get my table. They were busy and the hostess seemed to be a little disorganized about the tables and we had to wait a long time. Other than that great place.
Our server, Daniel, and his help, Yossi, were absolutely outstanding. Our table was schocked when our server said it was his 5th day serving- we thought his knowledge of the menu and attention to detail to ensure top notch service came from years and years of experience. We allowed our server to select all of our dishes. Every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared.
My one major complaint and dissapointment had to do with our reservation time and table. I reserved a 10:15pm dinner for 4. When we arrived the hostess told me our reservation was changed to 8:45pm earlier that day and that they had left me a voicemail which I never received. The hostess staff (all 3 ladies) were unfriendly and almost rude when I explained to them I had absolutely not changed the time. I even showed them the voicemail I had recieved confirming my 10:15pm reservation a few days prior which they completely disregarded.
Anyways we were put at a table in the bar area with super low chairs, at a table that was much too small to have dinner for four and in an overcrowded area where we were constantly being bumped. That was pretty disappointing considering we were from out of town, celebrating a special occasion with friends and experiencing Zuma for the first time.
I recommend calling prior to arriving a few hours before to confirm your time. I also recommend requesting Daniel and Yossi for your servers. Their outstanding service enabled us to still enjoy our time minus the uncomfortable seating arrangements.
Please extend your red blends listing per glass sometimes you can't manage a full bottle especially if it is dinner for 2 and you're the only one drinking wine. Conundrum red blend is a great wine - crowd pleaser .... I would definately love to see this on your list for my next visit.
The food and service is impeccable. Definitely give Zuma a try. The wait staff and managers did everything they could to make sure my husband and I had a great meal. They went above and beyond to make our night special. We loved the truffle hot pot, pork belly skewer, jumbo prawn, and the uni special! We will definitely be back when we visit Miami. One of the best Japanese restaurant.
The food is good here but the pricing is absurd. The most annoying thing about this restaurant are that the Chefs in the middle of the dining room give out loud cries when they complete a task. It can come at any moment and it borders on being frightening. I would not recommend this to anyone trying to enjoy their dinner.
Big disappointment. Sushi was not as expected based on some of the reviews. We had a reservation, but when we arrived we were told that we had to be finished by 9PM because there was another reservation. That in my opinion should have been communicated to me when I made the reservation. Knowing that, I would have never booked a reservation with Zuma. Not impressed with this restaurant at all!
