Well prepared, inspired selection of dishes. Knowledgeable staff
Honestly this place was amazing! I would go here again in a heartbeat! Everything we had was awesome!! We did a zillion share plates including 3 different flatbread among 6 people. I highly recommend the flatbreads. All we so so good. The grilled calamari was delicious as well as the deconstructed lamb moussaka. The deconstructed Caesar and tartare were also a hit. I’d say as much as I wanted to like the crudo it was the least favorite of the table. I was the only person at the table interested in mussels so we passed but they looked amazing going towards other tables. Highly highly recommend!!
Great Service and the mussels were great. Beet salad was the “Best”!
Have eaten here many times, but may not return as service was inattentive, sloppy & wrong repeatedly.
I had emphasized several times that we had a 7:30pm opera curtain, but our server disappeared regularly, & I was forced to flag down other helpers to get water, bread, etc.
Even more unforgiveable for an upscale, seasoned, restaurant, my husband's flatbread arrived way, way, way ahead of my "main course" ceviche.
Even though Zula is convenient for the remainder of our opera subscription, we will likely not return.
We were at Zula‘s for the third time and were a little disappointed this time. Ordered the mussels Napoli and instead of the delicious flavorful broth, it was very watery and flavorless. We will come back again soon to check it out again.
Flatbread, As always outstanding and so was the salads.
We made a reservation to have dinner before attending the Opera. When we arrived, we were shown to our seats -- at the bar around the pizza oven. I think it is poor to accept a reservation, without notifying the customer that they will not be at a table. To make things worse, it was a very warm evening, and the proximity to the pizza oven made things very uncomfortable. We couldn't wait to leave.
Delicious food! Love the price of the Rose wine!
Yummy food, excellent service, great atmosphere. Love the many, many fish and vegetarian options. Have been back twice and will return. My new fav in OTR.
We loved the small plates and new touches to the menu. Had a great waitress.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Zula. Emily, our server, was extremely attentive, and helpful! The SIZE of the mussels was incredible! Thanks so much for helping to make my date night with my son a supreme success!!!
Had table in the back that the AC would not reach. Food was good but service was very slow and getting a refill on water was like pulling teeth.
Muscles were perfect, wine list extensive and the service was top notch.
The service was unusually poor. Took too long for drinks, when they did arrive it was one at a time. Our server had very little personality.
Mussels are always good, you can't go wrong! Tried some of the flatbread for the first time and it didn't disappoint. Wine is good, friendly bartender who would give a sample when you asked.
The was great. Service was amazing . This is my 12th time dining there.
Always great...will probably be my all time favorite place for mussels
Food was exceptionally delicious.
Once again a great dining experience. You can’t go wrong at Zula‘s.
Loved the raw seafood dishes, these are worth a detour. Nice list of wines by the glass. Also enjoyed the view on the kitchen counter. Attentive and friendly service.
Great place with marvelous food! Will go again!
The location drew us in being near Music Hall. The food was fabulous. We shared the beet salad, the kale salad and citrus cured salmon. It was a stretch for us to order the mushroom flatbread but we were glad we did. Highly recommended!
The funghi mussles were amazing. Great service and amazing food!
Great food. Little slow with the drinks, but overall very good.
We always enjoy Zula! Definitely our ‘go-to’ date night restaurant. Service always impeccable. Food is outstanding.
Four of us ate tapas style rather than ordering large plates. This gave us a greater variety of tastes--and we were not disappointed. Presentation of food was delightful. Our server was absolutely the best, always anticipated our needs.
Best mussels I’ve ever had! Great arancini and wonderful brownie dessert!
As Always, Great! Well done Zula!
Had the New Orleans gumbo mussels and tuna and mushroom small plates. Very creative and excellent flavors and combinations!! Found another favorite restaurant!
Reasonably priced for exceptional food. Waiter only gave a choice of bottled or sparkling water until we inquired, just wanted regular tap water. Also, the waiter advised us to order 10 items to share amongst only 4 of us. We ordered 4 and it was plenty. Me thinks the waiter trying to boost the tab! 😂 Would definitely return.
Great place with delicious and unique choices
Brought my mom for an early Mother’s Day dinner. Our waitress Jamie was awesome and my mom loved it.
Food was excellent. When I make a reservation for 5 pm, however, I don’t expect to be seated in a high-top chair next to my dining partner at the bar. So the seating was uncomfortable and it was hard to have a conversation over dinner. Meanwhile, I asked for a regular table and plenty were open throughout the meal, but I was not accommodated.
Our go-to place. I love everything about Zula. Can’t miss here.
Totally recommend it.
Always spectacular!!! We love this spot. Phenomenal mussels, carpaccio, flat breads, anything you order you will love. Super cute and quaint. Emily our server was very sweet and our food arrived very quickly and always piping hot. Don’t forget to order the bread. OMG. If you love fresh baked Parisian style bread you will be in heaven. It is a must to soak up all of the broth from your mussels dish! Until we meet again...
This was our first time at Zulas and we loved it.
Started with the beet salad= absolutely delish then we shared the Napoli Mussels and the Bulgarian feta flat bread. Everything was fantastic. Drank a Spanish Red wine with it.
Perfect meal and evening. We will certainly come again.
Great food and service. My only critique was seating. There were plenty of open seats but we were placed right next to another couple when we could have had a quieter spot.
Exceptional food! I was surprised, more than once, by how incredibly delicious the food tasted. From the mushroom (incredible broth) as an
appetizer to the beet salad (with a hint of blue cheese) to the Vietnamese mussels (unbelievable) and finally the salted caramel brûlée. And what a great drink selection!!
Zulu’s may be my new favorite restaurant in Cincy. I’ve already recommended it to multiple people. Great for pre-Music Hall since it’s a block away. But make reservations! It was packed.
We think of Zula for its great food and drinks! The past 2 times we’ve recently dined, we’ve had the same long time server Hannah and her service will keep us coming back and asking for her!! We even had restaurant industry guests & they were impressed :)
Food was excellent and our server definitely enhanced the experience with her overview of the menu.
Great service, unique food options
