Great food and service this dining. Only draw back this time was we received our dinner to fast, which didn't give us time to get through our appetizer. Hostess was awesome with a real bubbly personality. Great Wednesday night music and our Waiter was great.
.
The maitre d chewed is out a little for being late for our reservation. Otherwise, it was really good.
Great experience. Zucca’s must have made some positive changes. Six months ago we were ready to call it quits with Zucca’s based on sub-standard service, poor meals and poor attitude in general. We stopped going to Zucca’s for three months and decided to give them one more try. Wow! It's awesome and reminds us of the “old” Zucca’s. Since then, we’ve been back three more times and have not been dis-appointed. Glad to see the change, Ogden needs good places like Zucca's.
Fairly good food for Ogden, Utah, but mediocre Italian food, at best. Pizza was quite greasy, and salads were average. Prices were good, and the service was attentive but a little bit unprofessional.
I dine here frequently and decided to try a different entrée, the Lobster Ravioli. It was a bit disappointing, overcooked and thus also suffering from presentation. Worse, it was served virtually on top of the just started salad. The beet salad was also less than spectacular, a collection of benign sliced yellow and red beets atop plain greens. I will return but recommend avoiding this entrée.
We really enjoyed our experience. The food was good, the service was good, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
As an italian I look for genuine, clean authentic food. Zucca delivered. The server was fantastic, taking time to go over the specials, and answering questions about some of the dishes. We had friends with us, who were also thrilled. We will definitely be returning.
Went for New Years Eve, was ok but we couldn’t order off the regular menu. Was let down with the food . Heard there was a new owner so we decided to give it a try but not sure we will go back .
Great food and atmosphere. Service was disorganized. Took 8 to 10 minutes to take drink orders and appetizer came out 5 minutes before entree, after waiting 20 minutes for it. It's frustrating to wait along time for food to have the appetizer and entree overfilling your table. Mistakes happen, but I don't think it occurred to the server this was not supposed to happen.
My food was on the warmish side, not hot. And the desserts were way overpriced. The sugar crust on my creme brulee was burnt and the creme was under done. Not a great way to end a meal.
Really nice place! Excellent service and really good food. I had the chicken picatta, and it was delicious. The sauce in my opinion really made the dish pop! They have a great selection of wine and beers. I think next time, I'm going to try the buffalo tenderloin.
Came for our 21st anniversary dinner.
Great atmosphere and even better service. They were very attentive. They apologized for service being slow and comped us a desert. The pace of the meal was actually great for a date night though. The meal was delicious- we will be back!
we were down stairs in the speak easy...very enjoyable.
Everything was great. In my reservation I asked for a table up front, and was happy to see they read and accommodated my request. I had a basic spaghetti and meatballs plate, which was fantastic. Very pleasant server.
Love their food, especially the risotto!
We have been to Zucca before and really liked their Italian fare. We were anxious to try their Thursday night prime rib special. We ate in the speakeasy, which was small and intimate. Very nice! Brooklyn was our server and was fabulous. She was personable and provided great service for us.
Now the downside, the food. The prime rib was cooked to medium as ordered. However it was fatty and tough. The entire meal was cold, including the prime rib, potatoes and green beans. I am not one to complain so we didn't say much.
We will be back but definitely not for the prime rib.
Our first visit to Zucca's. We drove about 30 minutes to be there. A friend had recommended and it did not disappoint. We had the bacon wrapped scallops over fettuccine. Delicious! Great selection on the menu. Very friendly, funny staff. Quick service. The noise level was a little high the night we were there because they had live music, but who can complain about live music! If we needed quiet conversation, I'm sure they would have moved us. We will definitely be eating there again!
The service was good and always friendly. We asked to move to another table once being seated and that wasn't an issue whatsoever.... but the chef really had a heavy hand with the salt this evening. It was a bit overbearing. We should have complained, but. we didn't ...so it's our fault. We've been here before with much better results.
This was my first time here and I came for the Chioppino special. Brooke was great, she was super with the two little ones, knew the menu well & went out of her way to accommodate special requests. The Chioppino was outstanding, we received the wrong appetizer but it was corrected & unfortunately came a few minutes before out entrees so was harder to enjoy but still very good. I ordered a pint of beer that never came due to a problem with the keg so that was also a little disappointing. Overall great meal and the little ones loved their food (kids pizza was pretty gigantic could maybe scale that one down lol) only thing I'd change is having crusty bread in the basket that everyone can eat, I can't eat cheese and the bread was covered with cheese.
I have been critical of Zucca in the past, but the changes to management, chef, staff, etc. resulted in the first excellent meal there in years. Good work.
Service was initially lacking. No skim milk for a latte? Hot food mostly cold by the time you got it to the table. Enjoyed the salmon bruchetta and made to order omelets. Certanly worth the half price special.
This is the second time I have eaten here and this place is fabulous! Best Saltimbocca I've ever had!
The staff is attentive and skilled, not smarmy or stiff. I took my parents here for their anniversary and we all were very pleased.
We love Zucca, the food is always good and the staff are very friendly.
My husband and I went out for our fifth wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint! The pasta was fresh and had amazing flavor components to the entree. Our server seemed comfortable with the menu enough to make suggestions. Overall it was a little pricy but it was worth the good food!
This might be my favorite restaurant in Utah. The atmosphere is one of a kind. The food is always amazing. The service seems to really care about the dining experience. I highly recommend this place. I took my extended family back the next day, because it was so good and I wanted to introduce them to such a great restaurant.
Entrees were awesome...risotto balls were frozen in the middle and always enjoy the corkage fee...always bring our own....waitress Jill is worth asking for too!!!
It's almost unfortunate that when we first walked into Zucca on Friday night that they didn't go ahead and seat us; we were told a 40 minute wait for a table for 2 just before 7 pm. We walked outside, I used Open Table to make a reservation for 7 pm, and we walked back in to use that reservation. Had they just seated us, I probably wouldn't bother with this review. But, Open Table asked for a review and I'm obliging.
Pros: Good sparkly cocktails. All aspects of the salad and the soup were fresh and delicious.
Cons: The arancini special for the night was poorly described by the waiter, and one of the chips of beef in one of them was still VERY cold (though not quite frozen). Our waiter was pleasant but couldn't manage any questions related to alcohol. Bison tenderloin was cooked to the right temperature but was the toughest bison tenderloin I've experienced. But the dealbreaker was the Canneloni, which obviously sat under the heatlamp for too long since the bechamel sauce on top of it was almost burned.
In summary, disappointing. I doubt I'll be back.
My wife and I arrived at 8:30 on a Thursday night. There was less than 20 customers. We were immediately seated but no one came to our table for about 10 minutes. Finally the hostess stopped by and asked if the waiter had been by. When we said no, she went over to speak to a waiter at a computer station. He looked over and continued what he was doing. (Turned out he was preparing individual bills for a table of 6.) Finally, a young lady came by with bread and oil, said nothing and left. Finally, a different waiter that we hadn't seen on the floor, came out of the kitchen, did a double take and came over to ask us is we've been served. Again we said no and he said "well lets take care of that." We ordered drinks and dinner. My wife ordered a pasta that claimed to be "home made" and "made from scratch daily." While it may have been home made, it certainly had not been made on that day. I ordered a chicken dish with "creamy" polenta. While the chicken was ok, the polenta had chunks the size of half my thumb and the rest was under cooked. We did not see the waiter again until we were through eating. When he finally stopped by and asked how our meal was, I just showed him the polenta chunks to which he said "Well, that's not right." We asked for our bill, assuming some concession would be made for an improperly constructed meal but all we got was the bill and his assurance that he would bring up the poor presentation with the chef. All in all, the dining experience had the feeling of pure amateurism.
We have been going to Zucca for many years. The service has declined in quality year after year. Tonight was the breaking point and we will no longer return. We had a reservation and were seated. The water came quickly and then we proceeded to wait for over 20 minutes and still no waiter stopped to take our order. We asked a couple employees passing by if they could prompt our waiter, but still nothing. We left and went down the street to Hearth and had excellent meals and service. Zucca does have good food, but the service is unacceptable.
Wonderful Sunday Brunch menu, great service. Nice wine and drink selection.
It's a cool place to eat! Great wine nice atmosphere good food great staff to simply put it worth it
A great experience. Not too noisy and the food was great! I will definitely be back.
This was a great dinner experience. Everything was was cooked perfect. I lived in Italy for seven years and you can tell the chef has a great feel for real Italian food. I'm looking forward to going back and trying different dishes. Staff is great, ambience was good, not too many tables so you didn't feel crowded. Was a wonderful evening I would recommend to anybody.
Had the worst steak ever.
Noodles were not completely cooked.
Wrong wine brought to us.
Nice dinning area

My first time visiting Zucca and it was not great. It took forever to get service. Even once the waitress indicated she would "be right with us," she still took 10min to come take drink orders. Then the restaurant was out of the Buffalo tenderloin and lamb chops. As a result, the both of us got ribeye instead. My ribeye came out looking like an oversized NY strip. I sent it back. The waitress used a small plate to just take the steak back, leaving the sides on the plate in front of me. I thought it was restaurant etiquette to take the entire plate back which clearly didn't happen here. Zucca had great reviews, but I doubt I'll ever return.
My husband and I went to Zucca Trattoria during the Ogden Restaurant Week, we were very pleased with the service and the food tasted so good! We plan to visit again and order something off of their regular menu.
It was great as usual we live Zucca
Good food prepared very well. We had the lamb shanks and Chilean sea bass - both very good.
