This location is closed and your system needs to be updated. There is a cease and desist notice posted on the door and the property is being repossessed by the land lord. They have been closed since 5/19/2025 and from what the posting states they are being evicted.

We came into town for a concert at Wild Horse Pass and due to the concert there wasn’t anything available on-site without a long wait so we decided on Z Tejas as it was close by. Although the restaurant was not very busy, they only had one server for the entire restaurant (including the patio). It took more than 20 minutes to get our first drink, and after frustration we saw them made at the end of the bar, but not delivered due to a shortage of servers. The steak fajitas were very good, with plenty of meat, but the second order of drinks (even though the manager recognized the first order was slow and apologized) was just as slow, again a lack of servers issue. We haven’t been to Z Tejas in years due to a move, but they have certainly gone down hill at this location. It’s too bad. The food and their famous margaritas were good, but they need help on service.

Food was delicious. I was a little bummed they removed some items that I remembered ordering the past. However what we did order was good. Also, I could tell our server had too many tables so the time between visits was a little long especially towards the end (to get the bill).

The service started off well, but things took a strange turn at the end. The food, however, was solid and just what we expected. We had the steak fajitas, an appetizer, and a couple of margaritas—everything was tasty.

Went at a time when it was not busy around 4 pm. Placed our order for drinks and appetizers. Food came, but no utensils had to ask. Took forever just for this. Ordered main meal and desert again very slow, 30 minute wait for dessert. The manager came over to the tables around us to check on customers that came in after my husband and I. We felt ignored. I'm hoping it had nothing to do with our race, but the other tables around us were getting lots of attention from the manager, drink staff, and they were not minorities. Just an observation. This was the Chandler location. Maybe the other location isn't this way. Feeling like you have to beg for attention and decent service is not a good feeling, and my husband and I were celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary too, so kind of a disappointment.

The restaurant was clearly short handed and full of customers. Despite having a reservation there was nobody welcoming customers … we waited about 19 minutes before anybody showed up to assign a table to us and the three groups in line. There were clearly short on staff and those available were working hard but the situation was impossible. Our food was eventually brought in but they forgot to provide silverware and we got up and took some from the set tables … not a cheap restaurant and no contingency plans …. In the past we experience solid service
