Lovely spot in mall like setting. Staff attentive. Good value.
Zov's is a neighborhood gem. The food is always great as well as the service.
First time there. Evening was fair. Restaurant had a cold atmosphere. Restaurant didn't seem clean. Food was good - but not the best. Service was so so. Restrooms definitely needed attention. I probably won't go back.
Great experience! Brussels & mini tostadas for an appetizer and sea bass for a main course! All well prepared and delicious! Nice live entertainment! We will be back!
Went there for a belated birthday lunch; hadn't been there in a few years.
This is the second trip to Zov’s and I can’t wait for the next. The food is well prepared and the staff are friendly and attentive.
Zov's never disappoints. The family recipe for golden lentil soup is a favorite of mine.
The pasta ribbons with braised short ribs in a mushroom cream sauce is delicious as well as filling. Exceptional service. Lovely dining for a night out alone or a family night.
Four of us went to Zov’s for lunch, and all of us were thrilled with our meals: lentil soup, cheeseburger, kabobs and salmon salad. We go often and are never disappointed.
Service was VERY SLOW. First server didn’t put in drink orders and appetizers. After 30 minutes, another server came to retake order. Therefore, food took about 1 hour & tasted horrible.
Steaks are over cooked, Seabass was not fresh, we had to ask for water & bread several times.
When we talked with server about this, server didn’t take any accountability and responded, “we are under staffed!”
Poor customer service and bad food. We keep going back to support neighborhood business but experiences get worse each time. I’m very surprised that the managers don’t recognize the issues when they are seeing & hearing customers complain
Very good service, very nice outdoor seating with heaters. Portions could be a little larger and offer of bread/rolls with dinner would be nice. Overall enjoyed our experience.
Our experience was very good overall. Waiter was very accommodating and he gave excellent recommendations
Great food, great atmosphere, fairly priced
We had a great small group Christmas luncheon in the “big booth” and it was a delight for all. We’ll be back. Thanks to the professional staff for making this a special day.
Great place to go amazing food it was all fabulous . Amazing staff , good live music outside that you could hear. It wasn’t too loud
Excellent service and good food and friendly staff.
Always have a great time!
The servers and the food were awesome.
Had live music was good just a bit loud for conversation
It was a great experience. The manager even came to our table to make sure we were taken care of.
Relaxing dining experience, family friendly and delcious menu options. We loved the Saturday evening entertainment as we dined in the patio. Thank you so much.
Delicious food & great service
It was a lovely meal with family!! Everyone was happy❣️
Outstanding outside dining area. Food and service were excellent too. I had the grilled vegetable bowl with a large meatball and my wife had the chop salad. Noticed that kabob are popular but was happy with my choice.
Nothing bad to say about zovs. Just not impressed and wont go back. I prefer a more authentic Mediterranean resto like paninis in cdm or christakis in tustin.
My husband's steak was delicious as usual.
My veggie burger was dried out and tasted as though it had been made days before.
Had a delicious ciopianno. Great taste and texture and I I ate every bite
Door to kitchen needs a curtain. The light ruins the ambiance in the bar
Delicious, healthy food, served by a charming and attentive wait staff. We dined outside on the shaded patio. Lovely experience!
Always a good meal at Zov's. Lentil soup is terrific as is the Greek Salad. It was nice to get outside seating but even inside is breezy. Parking is easy. Will always go to Zov's when visiting SoCal
It is one of our neighborhood restaurants. The food is always well prepared and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. It is always a pleasant and relaxing experience. We often sit on their spacious patio. I shouldn’t be so complimentary because I like that, although they accept reservations, we can almost always get in as a walk-in.
I've eaten here before for lunch and the food was very good. The fish and pasta for dinner were uninspiring. I expected more from Zov's. Add some flavor, some spice, and edit that no-flavor quinoa cake you put under the fishy-tasting fish. The lentil vinaigrette was the only tasty thing on that fish plate. The short rib pasta lacked flavor. Plain and simple. Sorry :-\
The service was top notch.
Really enjoyed the entire dinner. Our server was so friendly and prompt. The bar drinks were delicious. Especially the pomegranate martini. I had never tried the eggplant fries with the red pepper dip. It’s my new favorite item. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries are so crisp. Service was efficient and friendly. I look forward to dining here again.
My partner and I made a last minute lunch reservation at Zov’s, desiring a change from our normal haunts and Mediterranean dishes. On balance, our experience was thoroughly enjoyable, made so largely by James’s friendly, cheerful service. We began with eggplant sticks served with a well spiced sauce—very tasty and a bit unusual. As mains we ordered the Moroccan spiced salmon salad and Kabobs two ways, both served with rice preparations and quite tasty. Not wanting to cook that evening, we ordered the Mezze appetizer plate for two, which traveled well and made for an excellent evening meal on the light side. The restaurant’s outside seating was open, well spaced and altogether pleasant. Zov’s is now on our rotation list.
Lovely lunch, great service. Loud music made conversation very difficult.
I really like this place! They have a great mezza platter, other Mediterranean items and good options for fussy kids plus a great breakfast menu as well!! I really like the outdoor space too!
We had a nice table on the patio where we could have dinner with our small dog sitting an a chair. The meals were very good and we had enough for leftovers (there are a lot of ribs in the Wed-Thurs special). The server was very nice and she took a great photo of us with our dog as a memento.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration but this is someplace I would go for any casual lunch or dinner. The menu is small but delicious and the service could not be better. It has a nice family restaurant feel
The menu at the Newport Coast location was pretty limited for lunch. The lentil soup a little salty but good. The greek salad way too many cucumbers. The roasted vegetable dish on top of basmati rice was outstanding. and you MUST try the currant iced tea. wonderful!
