“Lunch at Zov’s” has always been the phrase used by the OC Power Lunch community looking for upscale cuisine in a comfortable environment. Zov’s offers a unique happy hour and free corkage Sunday and Monday evenings.
It was my first time and I took 3 friends along with me to try it. And it was amazing!! Especially the dessert. We ordered the Ridiculous dessert and it blew our minds. Definitely coming back again. =)
Great food and service!
In town for an EXPO. Entertaining clients and everything close by the convention center was booked. I found this little jewel last minute on yelp with great reviews. Client was happy and the food and libations were delightful. The calamari was excellent and the service was the best!
Wonderful welcoming and very attentive service. We had the mezze platter to start and it was great. Friend had the sea bass and loved it. I had the grilled veggie bowl and it was a disappointment- I specifically asked for medium rare salmon and instead got a piece of over cooked salmon. I so wanted to love my meal but the salmon screw up ruined it.
Incredible Service great parking.
I arrived before my friend and asked to be seated. Only tables were available when I asked if there were any booths, so I sat at a table and waited for my friend. By the time my friend arrived, about 10 minutes later, she joined me and the Maitre D told us a booth has become available if we still wanted one. Of course! This is my 2nd time to Zov's and all I can say is they don't disappoint! Excellent, food and excellent service.
Came to Zov’s on a Friday at 5:30pm. Had a reservation and my husband and I were seated promptly. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with the menu. After we ordered our food and drinks we did not see her for practically the entire meal. We felt bad for her because the restaurant was obviously way understaffed for the evening (JT concert and Honda Center) and she was waiting tables all over the restaurant. Our drinks finally came out and my drink was not the one I had ordered. I must have waited another 15-20 min for them to bring me my correct drink. The food was delicious... but the service was non existent. Fix this problem and I would definitely return.
I mean- I wanted to like this place. The beer was flat, the lamb chops were way over cooked, the “filet” was a sirloin and overdone. It was awful. I wish I could be less brutal, but this place needs to improve.
The waitress remembered us from the one other time we visited this restaurant by our drinks that we ordered. She was gregarious and genuinely friendly. The food was very good if a bit pricey. Highly recommend the sea bass.
Honestly, I don't think that I would recommend this location. The lunch portions were very skimpy and expensive for what we got. And we each ordered a salmon dish that wasn't very hot. I also realized after I left that the waiter didn't serve us bread, which is always one of the highlights of my visits to Zov's in Tustin. Overall, I was disappointed by this experience.
The food was outstanding, my wife has some food allergies and Grabrielle communicated with the chef and modified her dish perfectection (parpadelle pasta with grilled chicken), while my pan grilled fish was amazing. Gabrielle attended to our needs and we got an outrageous sundae for checking in on Yelp. It was outrageous!!!
Pretty good happy hour but a bit noisy with a large party nearby.
Lovely restaurant, and think they could do a bit better to be more prepared for the influx of the trade show crowd that we were a part of. Appeared to be under staffed.
Quiet. Attentive service. Moroccan Salmon was perfect on salad.
Sleeper of a place. Looks can be deceiving. Great place.
Our go to restaurant for Anaheim conventions and concerts. Always tasty; always sane. Thank you!
Great food. Service was great. Management was accommodating. We were thirty minutes late and they held our reservation. Room we were in was really loud due to a large party.
Apps and entrees were delicious, will be back. Brussel sprouts with bacon and Pinot Noir syrup. Garlic, olive oil, tomato, feta pasta with rosemary chicken. Short rib pasta in a portabello mushroom sauce.
Always love to dine at Zov’s! Our waitress was so amazing, very attentive and understanding when one of our guests accidentally went to the Tustin Zov’s and we had to wait for her! The pomegranate martini’s are amazing and the special half off excellent wine was great. Thank you to our very sweet and attentive waitress!
This was our 3rd visit to Zov's over years.
We still liked it a lot. Lentil soup is good to try and appetizer plate with all little salads.
Service was less friendly that I expected it to be. The waiter projected a feeling that we have disturbed him from something important he was doing. The restaurant was empty at that time, so I guess it was just not a friendly waiter.
chop salad was the highlight, terrific salad!
we also ordered kabob and rotiserie chicken which were both terrific!
great beer selections: hoegardden and rfuge
would like to test out other menu items.
The server was a bit awkward, but she was nice and overall we I had a great dinner. Great place for friends or business dinners.
Our hostess Sheri did a great job taking care of our group!
Gustavo was our server and he was great! The kabob plate was delicious!
Great food not too far from the convention center. Short car ride. Food was excellent and good martinis too!
Food was ok. Nothing special. Good service. Decent selection of wines.
We had a fine experience at Zov's but wouldn't go out of our way to recommend it. We ordered an appetizer platter with 5 items, including baba ganoush, hummus, olives, lebneh (yogurt), and walnut paste, and it was all OK, but none of it particularly outstanding. My husband ordered a Greek salad, which was more lettuce than tomato and cucumber. Our son had spaghetti with a meatball from the kids' menu, and that was also fine. Nothing particularly bad nor memorable about this meal.
Hidden gem. You MUST get the lentil soup. It feels like a hug. Great live music. Very attentive servers.
Disappointing experience at this location. Food was mostly terrible. Vibe does not work for me.
Great dinner, but the restaurant is VERY loud. We could barely hear each other at our table.
Zov's is always good. The lentil soup is delish! Service always great!
Great food and service ... we also took advantage 1/2 price bottle of wine. Will return if we are ever back in the area.
The menu is somewhat limited and priced on the higher end for lunch. Overall, the quality of the food was good and service was attentive. Very nice ambiance inside.
The lamb burger had so much salt and spice over-worked into the meat that it rendered the meat into mush... with no texture that should be present in the balance between fat and protein in a properly prepared and cooked burger. It was served on a huge stale bun, with aioli sauce (tasted like salty sweet spicy mayo) smothering both halves of the bread...that further worked to have you forget that you ordered lamb. The thick matchstick French Fries were great, except they, too, were over salted and over spiced. I am sure I reached my weekly recommended limit of salt in just this one meal tonight. I hope my heart does not hold it against me.
There are two salmon entrées on the menu. We asked the difference. The 'Seared Salmon', is supposed to be twice the size of the '4 ounce Petite Salmon'. We ordered the larger portion, but were served a tiny 3 to 4 ounce piece sitting on a huge mound, over a pound, of sautéed potatoes. At least it was not over salted.
We drowned our sorrows in their 50% off Wine Tuesday - 1/2 price bottle of wine.... that we appreciated.
I grossly over tipped, because I felt embarrassed leaving so much of my food, uneaten, on my plate.
Oh, and they will only cook everything to 'medium' or 'well-done'. That, says a lot......
This was our first visit to Zov’s. We met up with a friend that was in Anaheim for a conference. It was a beautiful warm night, so we sat on the patio. We had brussel sprouts for our starter (with the bacon on the side), followed by a filet, a small salmon plate and a fish sandwich. The staff was very accommodating of our dietary restrictions/special requests. Everyone loved their meal. We’ll definitely be back if we’re in the area again!
Very good food, esp. the hummus, and excellent service. A real focus on making us feel welcome, and cared for!
Met some co-workers after work. They sat us in the back at a large table which was great. Our server was attentive and made some great recommendations. The cauliflower appetizer and the Brussel sprouts were delicious. I had the balsamic chicken club which was also delicious. We shared the butter cake which didn't disappoint!
Every dish we tried was outstanding! Distinct flavors that complemented one another in each and every dish! Go to Zov’s you won’t be disappointed and you’ll be planning your return visit halfway through your meal!!
Really wonderful dining experience once again.
A wonderful surprise and delicious dining experience! Tuesday 1/2 off wine made it even better. Everything we ordered was excellent. Staff was professional. On the repeal list!
