Was there for anniversary dinner
Fantastic dinner... they were very accommodating! Would highly recommend!!!
Outstanding as always. Service was great. Not a busy night so nice and quiet. Pricey but worth it
love the place and the service is great. Maybe a little too aggressive on the garlic? Thanks!
Group of 7 and it was everything we expected. Exceptional service and fantastic food
Everything was excellent from the service to the food. Will definitely return.
How this restaurant has a 4.7 on Open Table is a joke. This place has the most mediocre food and exorbitant prices to go with it is nothing short of amazing. Your entree comes with boiled vegetables plopped on your plate and the steak and seafood tastes like it just got defrosted from the freezer. The atmosphere is pretty bad too. I don’t get it.
Love the people and portions BIG!
We went for our anniversary. I had been craving lamb and Zorros rack of lamb did not disappoint... it was cooked to perfection at medium-rare. My husband had the mermaid plater which he gushed over... the portions of crab, scallops and shrimps was wonderful and all were melt in your mouth tasty. He actually could not finish it and was happy to take some leftovers home. I was disappointed by the before dinner accompanied green salad which was just lettuce. I would have preferred it to include some tomato, onion and cucumber. The creamy garlic salad dressing was zesty and tasty. Also the broccoli that accompanied my lamb was a bit yellow so I could not eat it.
Great traditional steakhouse. Good service, good food.
Daughter going away to camp
The $175 seafood dinner for two was plenty of food to feed 3-4 people. It was good, but lots of butter on the seafood.
Out of the 3 servers that helped my table, 1 was friendly and the younger of the bunch with the Red jacket and bow tie... had so much negative attitude. Asked him to take a photo and he literally turned his back on us and said, I’ll be back.
He never did come back to take the photos.
Been going there for many years - always outstanding. Yum!
Great food and service as usual.
Have been a customer for over 40 years
Love this place! Thank you!
Greeted and led to table by pleasant and professional staff. Was crowded even for early Sat dinner. Nice ambience, casual and slightly noisy but not annoyingly. Food was very good and portions were gigantic. Seemed like we we're dining in Texas. Huge steak and prime rib were well prepared. Salad and appetizers were good. Reasons why I couldn't give 5 stars are dessert and non-existent finish touch in service. First, Do Not order chocolate cake which is not what it says. Three of us ordered one cake given the size of their dishes and we all stopped after one little bite just looking at each other like 'what is this?' But no server noted and asked how it was although service was good until then. And more importantly after dessert was delivered, we felt totally ignored and get-outta-here-dinners-over. Maybe they were all busy or figured out we were American tourists. Other than above two, we enjoyed the dinner and would probably recommend it knowing what to expect.
Awesome rib steak 26oz delicious.
Always a great meal at Zorro's, highly recommended
Food here is fantastic. Servers and service seemed old fashioned. Waiter wasn’t rude but the choice of words towards two females he knew nothing about was not professional. I noticed a difference in the way they treated our table and another female table versus the larger tables with more older business type male patrons. But the food was great!
Zorros's is our favorite family, business and special occasion go to restaurant. Been coming here for 15 years. The prices have gone up a bit but so has everything. For a special night the prices are reasonable also considering you get your salad and sides included. The service is superb and the food top notch. The prime rib is my favorite!
Prime Rib, Seafood and Steaks here are always made perfect! So delicious, so juicy, so so good. What an amazing spot. It's like you travelled to a different world once you walk through those doors.
Typical high end expensive steak house. No complaints. Food was very good as was the service. Definitely more of a business type environment.
My family got the steak and shrimp and loved it. Salad was watery. I got the rib steak, medium rare and it was full of fat and lacked all flavour. Worst steak I could imagine getting. I didn't eat it and was instead encourage to share my families meals that they couldn't finish since the portions were large. Also, they cleared the table before everyone was done eating and returned 3 times to get the plate of the last person finishing at our table. The third time they literally stood over her and stared. It was silly for a half empty place (so they didn't need the table) where we were in and out in 65 minutes total. Oh, and no free refills on soft drinks and they don't tell you that when they ask if you want another for $3.50 per small glass of coke. I am not going back. I love, love, love red meat and that place left me wanting in the worse way. On the bright side my family said the shrimp was the best they ever had! But 4 people, no app's or coffee and a single glass of wine was $350 all in (tax & tip) was just to much . for what we got.
All was great except the maitre seemed to rush us. No idea why.
My friend was raving about the prime rib at this place and we thought we would give it a try.
Well worth the drive, old fashion steak house with friendly waiters in tuxedos .
Ordered the small ($35 cut) prime rib, and it was AMAZING! Even the small cut had to be over 13oz. We subbed vegetables for the house salad that comes with it, and ordered the "table side" Caesar salad. The tables are too close, and they were not able to make it table side, it was also very good.
Not having attended Zorro's in the past 13 years, after attending on numerous occasions , We were pleasantly surprised to find that it had not changed and was still the place that we had always looked forward to attending. We were celebrating our 55th Anniversary with the family and could not have chosen a better place. The staff were excellent and the food exceptional, but then it always was. It was so nice to see that it was still a very popular restaurant, and we hope that it will not be as long until we attend again.
Absolutely awesome food! Not one complaint around the table. One of the best steaks I have ever had!
Great service. Great food. Always great at Zorro's!
A truly wonderful old fashioned style steakhouse like they used to have in Toronto.
We were a party of 9 celebrating my parents 56th wedding anniversary and the staff was excellent! Very personable and funny and extremely efficient. They even brought out a dessert for them at the end of our meal to wish them a happy anniversary! 😃.
The food was EXCELLENT! Very tasty and generous portions, doggie bag came home for lunch the next day!
Can't wait to go back!
The food and the service were excellent. A little overpriced and dated decor, but still a great dining experience. I had a Zorro's gift card which they honored without hesitation.
Best steaks in town. Best prime rib. Always a great meal with great staff. Been coming here for 30 years.
If you are tired of trendy, try-hard downtown restaurants and looking for something a bit different, Zorro's has you covered. It has a great old school charm to it. The service was second to none and the steaks were perfectly cooked. Great for a special occasion.
Great as always. Decor could be updated, but we love this place.
From the time we arrived at Zorro's the evening eas great. No waiting to be seated.
The service and food was great
Even the vegetables get mentioned
They were cooked and hot, something that does not happen too often at restsurants
My daughters could not believe how great the whole evening went and want to go back for their birthdays
Great job by the entire staff
A job well done by all
I have not been there for a long time
I am very glad we went this past weekend
As always service at Zoros is over the top. The food is amazing and portion size overwhelming. Love the pickles and the biggest best shrimp cocktail anywhere. My favourite when staying over at Pearson.
It's been a long time since we both have been to Zorros. Why did we stop going? What a grand experience!! Food was over the top delicious and well prepared. Sammy our waiter was amazing. We wanted a longish dinner and Sammy was superb in his timing for us.
It will now be a regular restaurant favourite of ours!
The food was good but there was far too much of it. My husband and I each ordered the small size roast beef, and so far my husband has had two full meals of the leftovers with probably 2 more in the freezer to eat. There was certainly good value for the price. We are ordinary- sized people in our 80s who enjoy fine dining on special occasions, but felt like pigs when faced with the gargantuan portions we were served.
The onion soup and the garlic bread were superlative. The service was also super-special, except no one drew to our attention to the smaller portions that we didn't on the notice on the menu. I realize this was not the fault of the server as I feel sure they are instructed not to push the less costly cut in favour of your bottom line.
However this pair of oldsters won't be returning anytime soon. I also feel sure the quality and cooking of the smaller cut would at least equal that of the smaller prime rib.
I have been going to Zorro's for 35+ years .. service is always impeccable .. great meat .. table caesar side salad to die for .. garlic bread and pickles super yum. Truly an old school authentic steak house.
