We have a rooftop deck & bar with spectacular Brooklyn views. Our roof deck feels very open and breezy during the summer, making it perfect for sunset watching with friends, and during the winter months is fully heated, warm and cozy, with a snow globe feeling.
Our Chef Ivan Garcia is also Chef and owner of nearby MESA COYOACAN, the highest Zagat rated Mexican restaurant in NYC and a Bib Gourmand Michelin "critics favorite" for 4 years on a row.
ZONA ROSA pays homage to the bohemian neighborhood of Mexico City with the same name that during the 60's and 70's was the home of many influential Mexican artists and a place where great food and a lust for life was found everywhere.
What Insiders Are Saying
Zona Rosa is a two-story Mexican restaurant Williamsburg.
The space is amazing. Chilaquiles and tacos were delicious
Second floor is where it’s at! Delicious food, great service. Can’t complain!
From the outside this place look very unique and inviting to the eye. Inside food amazing I had huevos rancheros and the rest of my fam had amazing delicious dishes. Very friendly and attentive staff.
it was ok. the waitress knocked over my laptop which kind of ruined the night. food was ok. nothing to write home about.
Great experience overall. From drinks to food everything is well thought out and prepared.
The fish taco appetizer is killer!
I took my friend here for her birthday brunch and it was amazing. The staff was very cool and even brought her a round of shots to the table. The decorations of beautiful plants all around the space made for a amazing scenery.
Omg! I Freaking Love This Place, Before I Got There The Host Called Me Because I Was Running Late And The He Was Very Friendly, My Friends And I Wanted To Sit Upstairs So We Waited At The Bar For A Table, The Wait Time Was Not Long, We Had Some Margaritas, Then We Got Our Seat Upstairs And It Was SO Beautiful, The Ambiance, The Food, The Drinks, Plus I Surprised My Friends And Ask Them To Be My Bridesmaid and Maid Of Honor With Personalized Balloons, Our Waiter Was Very Lovely And He Was Very Patient With Us, Definitely Will Be Going Back. The Only Thing That Was Missing Was Some Better Selection On The Music. But We Were Having A Great Time So It Was Not A Big Deal.
The female bartender is so incredibly rude and this was not the first time. The waitress was sweet but forget our guacamole and chips. We love Zona and will return for the food with hope these issues are fixed.
Zona Rosa is one of my favorite restaurants in New York. The food is always good. Had their elote, chips and guacamole, and tacos. The presentation of the food is also super fun, not to mention the awesome decor. The rooftop is awesome and great date spot or for celebrations. Also, their margaritas are the best.
The food at Zona Rosa was delicious! The ambience, excellent service and great magaritas kicked the night off perfectly!
We had a great time. Drinks and food were good, friendly servers and workers. We will go back again. The music could be a little loud where we are trying to talk over it. All in all was it great and fun time.
Tortilla soup rocks and the service is fab. Always order the tamarind margarita, yum!
This place was great , food was delicious and our waiter was very nice and friendly !
Loved this spot! Cool vibe, good service. And great food
One of the best Mexican restaurants in New York City hands down. Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. Only down fall is how loud it is. Kind of hard to hear the waitress at times.
Service and food..... excellent
We did not have our drink orders taken for a full 15 minutes after sitting down.
Second time dining here. I enjoyed the dinner service much more, however brunch was not bad at all. The service was superb and the heated patio made it even better. I love the ambiance here and the food was pretty good. A lot of greenery and windows. Can’t wait to go back!
Great food every time. The upstairs seating was amazing and the service was flawless.
Zona Rosa is always a tasty casual option! Enjoyed the Mexican corn and carne asada tacos. Prices moderate for neighborhood.
We found Terrific food delivered quickly by a knowledgeable wait staff. Cozy seating with high noise level/raucous at times. A fun time was had by all.
Good food, good portions. Great drinks. Really enjoyed myself
We were there kinda early (6:30) on a Wednesday, so can't speak to the average noise level or vibe when busy, but we imagine it's fun.
The food really was excellent, and although some of the items have familiar names, i.e. 'enchiladas', the preparations and quality of ingredients were excellent. It was awesome that happy hour margarita pricing extended to the seating near the bar (so many places you have to be AT the bar). Speaking of those drinks, the fresh juices make all the difference - they were excellent. Wife had watermelon and I had pineapple.
Service was very good and our lady was patient with our incredibly awful Spanish.
Highly recommend Zona Rosa if you'r win the area and looking for some excellent food and drink.
Finally got to take my human here for a dinner date. Made reservations for 7:30 on a Friday night even though we didn’t really need them; there were plenty of tables available. We asked to be seated outside and found ourselves outside on the deck under a heat lamp. Great ambiance for a date.
The guacamole and chips were so good as well as the veggie enchiladas. My human even had two margaritas classic style they were so good. I, of course, had the pineapple with jalapeño tequila :).
Our server was attentive and knew his stuff when it came to recommendations. Will be back and will recommend!
Dinner on a Friday night. Food was good, however - so many families with kids under two. Made for a crying chorus at one point.
Delicious. Wish the portions were a little bigger because it was so good
Good brunch with the fsmily
Flavor, Flavor, Flavor - food and mezcal cocktails were delish! Service was awesome, friendly and efficient! Can't wait to go back!
had a really nice evening at zona rosa. had good drinks and the food came really fast although the place was packed. food was delicious and we would definitely recommend this place.
The Mexican food I have had in a really long time.
Was very good, everything was excellent
The food was amazing!
The experience was horrible as with the service. I will only return for the food. Starting with the host she said there was no seating upstairs and after we were seated another group of people was taken upstairs. Then the took forever to come and ask for another drink as if he did not wanted to serve us because we Hispanic and he was “white”. The only people that treated us equally and not differently were the bartenders. We felt excluded but we were not going to allow them to ruin the great time we were having therefore that is why we did not tell them anything. They were hating lol
A wonderful place, nice atmosphere and the food was delicious!
This place has lots of character, the food is great, and the watermelon jalepeno margarita was amazing! WIll definitely go back.
Some people in our party were running a little late, but all of the staff was very accommodating! The hosts made sure we got a table we liked within 15 mins of us all getting there, the bar tenders were personable & transferred our tickets once we sat down and the food was so yummy!
I loved the ambiance here. We were able to sit outside. The margaritas were amazing and the food was good. Will come again.
Nice warm atmosphere with good cuisine. Good drinks, reasonable price. Cozy terrace. Service is also on top, staff is extremely friendly.
amazing food and drinks and great decor definitely will be returning
Great food, awesome atmosphere, tasty and affordable drink menu.
