Fantastic food and service. Leo is the best!
Food was superb!!
Our server, Amy, positively magnified our dining experience and delicious food.
Food was delicious but would like more entree choices other than pizza and salads. That being said, the pasta I selected was delicious! Service was excellent and the server was really friendly and helpful. Would recommend dusting the areas around the booths though, we were able to draw pictures in the dust on the room divider-type section next to our booth (where plants and stuff are placed.
We arrived and were immediately brought to our table.. we did have a reservation but expected at least a small wait. Not so!
The server was attentive and friendly but did not hover. The meal was fresh and tasted like homemade, “real” food. Excellent quality and attention to detail. The ambiance was quite loud, but it was a busy Friday night with almost all of the tables filled with happy talking patrons, so some noise was expected.
Overall a great experience. We will be back, and will tell our friends!
Leo was excellent and took care of us. Professional, kind and helpful.
Zona 78 is one of those neighborhood places that often is overlooked because it is too close to where one lives. It shouldn't be. The food is always good, the service is good and we have never been disappointed in dining there. The noise level is my only problem but it is not so loud as to keep me from going back.
Zona is one of my favorite restaurants where I meet up with good friends. We have gone to Zona for years. Never disappointed!
I have been going for years. The beet salad used to be the best. Now the beets are cut so small and the lettuce so big, it is not easy to eat nor is it attractive. I found the restaurant noisy and the service good, but have not been happy with the food the last three times I have gone.
Food was great bit during happy hour service was slow and wait time for food was long.
We tried the "sauteed" calamari and I would not do that again! But each of the three people tried something different and each meal was delicious.
We eat here a lot love the food
The sautéed calamari is soooo good
My fav is the Mediterranean pasta
Have had it at least 10 times & every time wsd was so delicious
I take half home cause its a huge portion!!!
The food is always fresh and delicious. I had the wild caught calamari appetizer. The restaurant is cozy and inviting.
Excellent ambience, food and service. Will be back next time we're in Tucson!
We always enjoy our visits to Zona 78. My son was one of the first of the wait staff when you were first opened. So it holds a special place in our lives. Food was exceptional.
As always Zona 78 doesn't disappoint us. We celebrated our granddaughter's 17th birthday and all was fantastic. From the special blackened pork chop from a local source to the killer Butterfinger "off-the-wall" shake complete with a Zonut (doughnut), everything was superb. The service was excellent and we had a very enjoyable time.
2 of the three people in our party ended up with food poisioning. Our initial server was great, everything else was mediocre
This is a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a good meal. My pasta this visit was a bit bland but that is not the usual. Good choices and our server was great.
Food was outstanding and our service from Briann was so wonderful! Our new favorite restaurant!
Cucumber Margarita and the ribs. Great meal.
Large servings, great wine list. Food very flavorful. They have great happy hour and specials. Only wish it was closer to my home.
S L O W service....not sure they had enough staff working
I ordered eggplant parmesan. The eggplant was hard and overcooked. My partner's spaghetti was fine as was mine. An hour later I had severe stomach pains. No salad included with the meal so it was pretty expensive. And this was my birthday dinner! I would not go back.
Excellent service! Lovely, clean, and yummy food.
Old neighbors gathered with one back for a visit
We like Zona 78 for service and food however we went with a friend who has difficulty speaking and there a few parties going on. The noise level was more than we expected on a Sunday early afternoon.
I made a reservation the day before, as I frequently do through Open Table, only to find out upon arrival that they had no reservation for us. I was extremely disappointed because this dinner was for a special occasion. They seated at a table but not where I had requested with my reservation. We settled in with wine and cocktails when our waiter came over and announced the booth we had requested had become available and that and he was moving us to exactly where I had requested. I am not sure where the kilt had was but they rectified as soon as they could. BROVO to a great crew, wonderful food, and amazing service.
First visit to restaurant. Enjoyed the food. It was pricy but food was really good. There were screaming kids behind us so cut into the experience. Daughters birthday and the staff doesn’t do anything special (ie sing, special dessert) so great place if want downlow celebration.
service was poor, just like our last visit a year ago, food was good once we got it, but prices have also gone up a lot, the value is just not there. Took 1 and 40 minutes to get salad and pizza, the check was another 10, waiting for a manager to remove free desert because the pizza took so long.
Met a friend and we both had the lunch special (small pizza and salad). The craft beer on offer (1912) was excellent, as always. Our server was outstanding; she even offered a tasting of the beer, which was very thoughtful. Service was prompt, cheerful, and very efficient. The lunch specials were up to Zona 78's high standards and were great. Overall, an excellent experience warranting a return visit.
Delicious food and comfortable atmosphere. The warm birthday donut was unexpected and melt-in-your-mouth.
I nice place to meet up with friends. The service is a bit slow. If you are not in a hurry to place the order and to get the second drink then a good place
Felt badly for the waitress, everything went wrong with our order. They didn't have the beer we wanted, didn't put cheese on the bread, and didn't hold the basil on my pizza. Still, the food was good, and we'd probably go back again.
One of our favorite places to dine. Excellent food, and services.
Food and service were excellent.
Beer and wine offered good selection
Third visit to Zona in past 6 weeks, this visit the food was a disapointment. I had the ahi tuna salad, my wife had the trout. Although the trout was very tasty, the portion size of each entree was extremly small. When we finished, we almost opted for a flat bread for dessert, but chose to go to a nearby Mexican place for round two (OK, we're not 'large,' I'm 5'8" and 155 and my wife is much smaller!). My guess is we ordered two of the 'lighter' meals, but non-the-less, was dissapointed.
excellent as always - just perfect - Zona has the friendly team of employee's
Go for the trout! Best you'll eat in Tucson.
