Reservations can be made by phone during our normal business hours or by email. Please contact us for special events or large groups.
Reservations move you to the top of the list.
You may still wait 10-30 minutes.
We may use more than one table for large groups.
The food at Zola was fantastic, and the service was great! There are so many things on the menu that sound good- it was hard to decide what to order. Looking forward to going back!
Due to an unexpected power outage caused by a storm, we had to divert to Zola Café, where we had an amazing dining experience. Our server Claire was outstanding and we really enjoyed our cocktails, appetizer, and dinners.
I made a reservation 5 days prior. Went there and the waiter who sat us down was very unwelcoming. She seated us and never came back. No one attended to us for about 30mins. A family came after us and was served immediately as they walked. They had water and someone came back and took their order. We didn’t even get water. When I walked up to leave, I asked to talk to a manager and the guy at the bar said “We are sorry, is there a number we can call you on”? Not even offering to serve us or find out what happened. Oh well. I must note, we were the only people of color in there. No one has called yet. Hope this was an isolated incident.
Food is always PERFECT ! Well be back! Thank you!
I've been to Zola Bistro several times and this time was off peak hours for a late lunch. It was pretty empty, but the service was very slow and our waiter (who was very nice) didn't return very often, forgot to take my husband's order and I had to go find him to ask him to replenish our drinks. I ordered Huevos rancheros and it was far from traditional. The tortillas were chips on the edge of the bowl and it had pinto beans as the base but it was like they poured a can of beans in a bowl without draining them...the whole thing was like a soup! The flavor wasn't good either, instead of comp'ing the dish they comped a drink we had. Overall it was a disappointing experience for a place that I think considers themselves high end.
Good food, ambience great!
I took my husband out for a Father’s Day brunch. We always enjoy the food and ambiance at the Zola Bistro. Highly recommended!
We tried this during restaurant week and tried the restaurant week menu. We tried 6 of the appetizers and all of them were great in their own way. The two people I came with had salmon and really liked the quaility, portion size and flavor of their food. I had a chicken meal and was underimpressed. The chicken and what it was with was more dry and the flavor was only in the sauce dots around the plate or on top. It needed more of the sauce on top of it. Additionally, the first bite was mostly fat. We tried 2 different desserts. The Creme brûlée was good, could have used a little less torch time on the top, but tastes good. The crepes were a little doughy and large in my mind. Granted, I’m comparing them to crepes in Paris, but they seemed large and a little too thick/too much dough, compared to them. For a restaurant the did that well with the other food, we had higher expectations for the crepes. Overall, we’d all go back, though.
Awesome deal for restaurant week! I went with a colleague while traveling on business last night. We're going back again tonight with a larger group.
We came in during the restaurant week so the price was reasonable. I was impressed with the food quality.
Delicious food, good service, would definitely eat here again.
We love Zola Bistro. The waiters and bartenders are great!💕
We had a lovely evening for four on Sunday. The good news was that not too many people ate there on Sunday, so the noise level was quite reasonable. The charcuterie platter was a good beginning for the table, aided by the roasted brussels sprouts. The flank steak was good. The barramundi is a great fish, but I should have had it filleted for me - the stuffing was a bit spicy and blocked out the sweet flavor of the fish.
Nice ambiance. However, disappointed with the food.
Here is the deal - it is just TOO loud there. And being seated next to busy computer area was crazy we were shouting at each other. Food was excellent and server tried very hard. better for smaller groups.
Food was great. It took it awhile for them to get all meals out. 1/2 the table was almost done by the time the last plate came out.
The brunch here is amazing! Everyone in my family had something that they loved.
The food was not great. My omelette lacked flavor and it was a bit burnt. Even the Crepes lacked flavor as well. Not worth the price!
Needs to add flavors.
Went with my mom and daughter, who love seafood. Restaurant staff made an exception and made something off of the brunch menu (a chocolate smoothie) during the dinner hour that my daughter had her heart set on. Service was excellent, food was delicious, including the oysters and mussels!
We ordered the lamb flatbread. It arrived and the dough was still raw. The server did not come back to check on us for a very long time. At that point we had eaten some of the toppings off as the lamb was very flavorful. I informed the server of the issue re: undercooked dough, and she said she would tell the manager.
No one ever came to do service recovery, and the dish was still on the bill. We needed to leave and overall had a nice evening so didn’t make it an issue, but it was one of the lesser experiences I’ve had at the restaurant.
Mother’s Day brunch.
Mothers Day with my family, loved the spring rhubarb Bellini and strawberry/rhubarb French toast. Delicious!
This was a great restaurant for a weekend brunch. It took us a very long time to decide what to get since everything sounded fantastic. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and we will all be back to try something else on the menu next time! Good service & nice atmosphere as well. A little pricey especially for specialty coffee drinks but it is expected for Ann Arbor.
All in our party of 7 were enthusiastic about the food and contemporary vibe. There on a week night. Not crowded so noise was not a problem. Extensive menu with well executed dishes.
Usually I love the bistro. However this time I thought the food and service were poor. The Turkish tuna was two scoops of tuna on a lettuce leaf. It wasn’t that tasty and was poorly presented. My cappachino did not come with a spoon. The service was a bit rushed even though the restaurant was not busy. It was my friend’s 60th birthday and I mentioned that to the server. (May have put it in the reservation too.) She didn’t offer anything. In fact she brought the check before asking whether we wanted anything else. She seemed like she just wanted to finish her shift. Not someone you wanted to wait on you.
Res for Grad weekend, never been there before.
Service was slow and waitress seemed rushed
Very dissapointed with food. Party of 4, no one really liked their dish.
The "Complete" crepe was a disaster. whole grain thick crepe with 1/8 inch of ham, cheese, and other? in big clunky square presentation. Dry and unappetizing.
Good coffee selection.
The hostess person who was wearing purple shirt was not friendly at all. Didnt know who came in first, talk to guy who came later than me even though I was standing right at the desk. Said she doesn't know what table she is going to give me because she needs tables for graduation party. Well, I made a reservation and dining in that day I should be equally important.
FOOD WAS FANTASTIC!!!
Server charged someone else's bill on my card and came back saying it is not a big deal because he void it. I guess they need more service training.
FOOD WAS FANTASTIC!!!
Maybe this is an OK place for a French toast and no more! I always go for quality over quantity and size but serving Farro salad with a few arugula leaves and had to search the plate to find the Farro seeds … Also Shakshuka is below average, doesn’t event have tomato in it. Basically egg over onion!
Food was delicious as always, even for grad weekend it was not a long wait for food, or table service
Surly, almost hostile staff. Good food but extremely poor value for what you get. Extremely loud. Almost impossible to have a conversation.
This is a fairly big restaurant, and there were probably only about 6 or 7 tables filled while we were there and it nonetheless took an hour and a half to get our food.
Arrived on time with a group of 14. They were totally disorganized. We were given three different menus while they tried to figure out whether it was brunch, dinner, or their special graduation menu. Two different servers due to shift change. Different, but both were indifferent. Over 90 minutes before food came out. 30 minutes for drink orders. Simply awful service over three hours, and average food. I could not be more disappointed for the horrible experience for our special event.
Long wait time for a table even though we had a reservation. It was very loud and rude hostess. The server was great! Food was mediocre at best, main courses took awhile to come out of the kitchen, my fish was over cooked, dry and full of bones. Would not return.
It was perfect for our graduation celebration for my daughter. Lots of delicious options for everyone to choose from. They gave us a special "graduation menu." I would like to return and try their regular menu. The service was wonderful. I really don't have any negative comments other than it seemed a bit expensive for the meals (ie, $28 for a chicken thigh (one) on rice).
Brussels sprout starter not as on the menu. Took a long time to get 2 glasses of wine. Steak entre overcooked. Same with chicken entre. Not the best experience. Wait person was fine & helpful. Kitchen & bar issues.
Happy hour:) Love Robyn and Table 10!
The restaurant was busy as it was Easter Sunday. However the hostess was rather unfriendly and the server was unable to manage more than one table at a time
I was glad we finally got a OpenTable points and I didn’t have to save my receipt and send it to you.
Sadly, we left because the wait was too long (even with a reservation!) and the owner was rude
Zola’s current reservation policy is a 10-30 minute wait with reservations. We waited 70 minutes while being told “just a few more minutes” by the hostess. The hostess was clearly overwhelmed with the poor planning and taking more reservations than they can clearly accommodate.
What started out poorly didn’t get any better with slow service, mediocre food preparation, and cold food when we eventually got our food.
I do not recommend this restaurant on Sundays even with reservations, unless you don’t mind waiting 60+ minutes and don’t mind slow service.
