One of my favorite restaurants!
Great food, great service....one of best dining experiences I have had in the local area!
The old Chef departed and they have two co-head chefs. This is the first time we have visited since the change and we were not disappointed. We started with the Makers Mark manhattans and they were spot on. My wife enjoyed her shrimp cocktail and I devoured the pork butt for aps. The Cesar salad was as good as usual. We both enjoyed the ribeye.
We like the food and enjoyed talking with Marc and our server Matthew
Food was amazing. Service was great. Took some time for the food to come out due to a mistake made with our order, but once it did, we devoured it.
Zoe’s was absolutely wonderful. The steaks didn’t disappoint and neither did the blue crab Mac and cheese. Kennedy took great care of us. Definitely a great place to go for a great steak!
Overall it was fine. But there was a longer than necessary delay in placing the order for the entrees. For over $400 it felt as though the service should have been more “attentive”.
From the valet To the hostess who took our picture. Everything was wonderful. Food, wine, service, and location. It was all so spectacular.
Best steak in Virginia Beach.. Everything was on point and yummy.
AS always Great food and service. Including the friendly Vallet Parking attendant. Very nice
to try something new each time I go there with the changing menu from season to season. Never been disappointed with the quality, presentation or the taste of anything I have ordered.
Zoes is a favorite restaurant for me, and unfortunately its 4 hours away so It is TRULY a special treat when I get to go there. A little on the pricey side. .. But well worth the $$.
Service hard to beat. Food out of this world. Top notch experience always!!
This place is fantastic. Every part of the experience from the moment you walk in the door was top notch. The food was incredible.
It was my husband's birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was a birthday card waiting for him from the staff. The extensive wine list was wonderful. The food was impeccable. I had the 3 course menu with the mushroom risotto, crab bisque, and New York strip. Everything tasted amazing and was prepared perfectly. My husband got the lobster pops and lamb. The lobster pops are a must! So unique and tastes amazing. The services was great. I can't wait to go back.
Wonderful dining experience, food and service has to be one of the best I’ve experienced. I will definitely go back.
This wasn't our first visit to Zoe's and it won't be our last. We specifically went to take advantage of their "Winter Special Menu" - 3 courses for $50. We were not disappointed.
My husband's first course, Southern Roots smoked Pork Butt, was one of the best dishes we have ever had, anywhere. My second course, Southern Caesar, was beautiful. A deconstructed Caesar Salad with Beet Pickled Quail Eggs and a Bacon/Anchovy Jam. Our third courses were above par, as well. We had the 16oz boneless Strip (more than half went home) and the North Carolina Shrimp and Grits. Huge tempura battered shrimp over pimento cheese grits, which I continued to enjoy the next morning with bacon and an over easy egg.
We were so impressed with the quality of the food and service. We took our server/sommelier's suggestion for a bottle of wine from the "Scratch and Dent List" and it was perfect and quite a bargain, too! Locals (and visitors) should definitely make a trip for the Winter Special. There are about 5 choices for the 1st and 3rd courses and a choice between the Southern Caesar or She Crab Bisque, which my husband says was excellent. We can't wait to see what the "Spring Special" brings.
Probably the best, better than Bone Fish Grill and Isle of Capri. However, the Cavalier's Becca and Hunt Room will offer stiff competition for that number one spot.
The food was out of this world.
Great service and ambience; very intimate setting. For the price, I expected the food to be mind blowing but it was not. We had the crab mac n’ cheese: noodles were overcooked and the dish was room temp, Med Rare Ribeye steak: hot and tasty, Well done NY strip: hot and very tough-I have carpal tunnel so it was very uncomfortable cutting through the steak, Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli was hot and tasty however, I didnt like the fact of both being under our meat; I expected it to be on the side.
In from out of town to spend time with part of my family who I only see every few years.
Flavors are on the menu are exceptional and service is second to none. Always a pleasure to dine here.
Great service and the food also. Valet parking was great. Very patience and relax ing.
Took my wife here for Valentine's Day! There was a prefixed 4 course (really 6-course) menu which was very good! It was a bit pricey but we knew hat going into it. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Great food, service, atmosphere
Without a doubt, the best dining experience I've had in 20 years. They have my business forever! Everything great! This is what you want dining out to be like -- great food, great service, owners and staff that actually care about your dining experience! Thank you Zoe's!
I found this restaurant on Open Table and the menu and the reviews convinced me to try it. I was very happy with my decision! We were visiting my niece and celebrating her new job. The cocktails and lounge waiting area were a nice start. Kate was our server and she was excellent from beginning to end. The Lobster Sausage pops were scrumptious and we all loved our steaks. The crab mac and cheese was worth every calorie and we definitely took advantage of the Scratch and Dent Wine List, I loved the concept. The only disappointment was that we were all too full for dessert...maybe next time.
We love Zoe's. It is THE place if you like wine, but also has great food.
I have been to Zoes before, but I believe you can’t truly review a restaurant until they have proven themselves on multiple occasions. This place has.
The sommelier, Marc, is a true master of pairings and the only one south of NYC I can personally give that credit to. He is passionate over his craft and takes great pride in ensuring both the wine and food are elevated in his suggestions. In particular, we experienced a rare White Port with our Roquefort during the cheese course, and it was just perfection. Many other elements were outstanding: the pickled quail eggs in the Caesar salad were a lovely touch, the Miyazaki Wagyu was prepared beautifully, and after having multiple surgeries on my leg it was refreshing to be immediately accommodated at a larger table (so I could elevate my cast) upon our arrival.
Still, to me the pairings are why you go here. We have been to Michelin starred restaurants across the globe, and here in our little town of Virginia Beach this place holds its own. Thank you Zoes! We will return again.
Date night with my Wife. Read the reviews and decided to try something new. The interior gave a warm and cozy feel to it, and gave a romantic feel. We decided to get the wine pairing with our dinner and it was worth it. The narration by the sommelier was great and made for a fun and interesting evening. The food was fantastic as were the wine pairings. Would highly recommend to anyone that is into wine and really good food.
I booked this restaurant for my Sons birthday. He and his wife had a wonderful time. The service was great and the food delicious. The staff had a birthday card on the table when they arrived and later brought two cupcakes with a candle. Great atmosphere.
I was overall very disappointed in my experience. My husband and I went to Zoes to celebrate New Years Eve. It was a prix fix menu at $150 per plate, with an additional $70 for wine pairings - which he did. They sat us right by the door and it was freezing outside. The service was mediocre and the waitress seemed spread thin. It was a five-course dinner and she didn't serve us any of the dishes herself. Further, the food was subpar for a meal that cost over $500. The risotto was overcooked and the dessert was over-seasoned. The salad was not as described. And for the icing on the cake, the hostesses handed out flowers to each female patron at the restaurant during their dessert course - we, of course, were overlooked for this perk. We will not plan on visiting Zoes again.
My favorite restaurant for probably 10 years now! Waitstaff is amazing and everyone from from the valet parking man to the coat check folks are so accommodating and friendly! Food is always exceptional! You just can’t beat Zoe’s!
Steak, steak, steak! Great cuts. Generous wine list. Not for the faint hearted.
The food was decent, but very expensive, just not my style. The service was excellent.
Zoes is top notch and the wine recomendation from Marc was excellent. The food was one notch off perfection which is not the norm. All in all it was an excellent evening.
2nd annual birthday dinner and it was perfect again.
Wonderful evening celebrating 50th Anniversary. Good food and drinks not rushed and the Rose was a very good touch.
Great service food and ambience
First time at Zoes and food and service were terrific ! Nice cozy type atmosphere . Recommend you try.
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere!
Glad to see the original Mac and Cheese back, my daughter would not eat the other ones. We will be in more often
Excellent service. Excellent food flavor profiles. Outstanding wine pairings by extremely knowledgeable somileer. Great ambience. Smaller restaurant cozy feel and no rush to turn tables. Went for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it was incredible. Reasonably priced for a four diamond experience. We've eaten at many restaurants all over the world and this is in the top echelon of all of them. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.
