A tradition ended today. Having the honor of being the last customer here was a statement I had to make.

For your many years of tireless service and astonishing culinary excellence I am thankful. It will never be the same without those we lost, but we pause for a moment to smile knowing they would embrace our every request.

To all those involved it been a pleasure beyond anyones's imagination.

All the best... all the time.

Lovely lunch on last day of the restaurant being open. Service was a bit slow, especially water, cocktail and pop-over. There were several empty tables, so not sure why that was.

Pimento cheese sandwich was delicious, especially the bread. So good! Nice field green salad to accompany as well as butternut squash soup.

Took a famous chocolate chip cookie to go.

Great place for a quiet, calm delicious lunch break while shopping.

Have been going to Neiman's for lunch since I was a young girl & carried on the tradition with my daughters. I have been going with friends for years for birthdays, special occasions & just a fun lunch & will miss the Zodiac Room when you move. Hoping the new restaurant will be as enjoyable.

Went to celebrate our birthdays and celebrate a new year. Our waitress was very attentive and noticed our birthday bags on the floor and we ended the lunch with complimentary birthday cake and champagne. Will miss the restaurant when you move.

Our waitress was rude. We asked for a little more chicken broth and she said it was only an
appetizer. We should have asked for Peter. He never had a problem with giving us more broth.
The lettuce was wilted on two of the four dishes served at our table also.
Maybe at the new location NM will make their guests feel welcome and not like their an inconvenience.

We have a tradition of visiting the Zodiac Room during the Christmas season. We live in Irving and normally go to the Downtown Dallas location, but were unable to get a reservation for the time we preferred. We know to call early, but this year it slipped by us. While we enjoyed the Ft. Worth location with a quiet time to enjoy family, we prefer the Downtown Dallas location for both ambiance and food offerings. We enjoy the annual buffet offered between Thanksgiving and Christmas the most. We learned that Ft. Worth stopped offering this about 6 years ago. It was our first experience at the Ft. Worth location. Our server was very attentive.

Went to Zodiac for the birthday celebration of two 30+ year olds plus their Moms. The food was very good and the atmosphere perfect for a ladies' lunch. Service was very good and the "birthday girls" were given complementary pieces of cake.

We always make it a point to dine at Zodiac when we are in Fort Worth. We enjoy Peter waiting on us, he always makes the lunch special with his outstanding service. Actually I didn't pay attention to the back ground music, with a moderate noise level it would be hard to hear.

Server was friendly but was very inattentive, and timing was terrible throughout the entire experience other than we were served what we ordered within a reasonable time after finally ordering. Every guest enjoyed what they ordered, and the food was delicious. I have had the same experience with the same server on a previous visit, and thought it was probably just a bad day, but after the repeat of poor service I would not visit again unless first assured of having quality service. After a slow start we advised the server that three in our group were on a lunch break from work with limited time schedules, but the server remained inattentive, including not replenishing our drinks or allowing time for ordering additional items. Maybe the restaurant does not desire to attract customers who are on a lunch break from work. So surprising to receive poor service when it would have taken very little effort to facilitate our needs providing service commensurate with quality of the food and the upscale environment. Hope they will make an adjustment, as I would only recommend to others after advising them regarding service.

Lunch at the Zodiac is always nice for a special occasion. The food was really good, as always.
Our server was very energetic however, she was not able to be as attentive for some reason so
a few things were forgotten. She was very polite, but I think she must have had an extra table
which kept her busy. Thank you for the birthday cake for the three ladies at our table.
Merry Christmas and a blessed new year.

Average food, decent service and awful desserts from a commercial bakery. It has so much potential. They need to learn from better Neimans restaurants like the Rotunda in San Francisco.

My husband and I like to lunch at the Zodiac when we are in town. It is a long-standing tradition. The food is reliable and I do like the Neiman's label wine. The service can be slow and this time I actually thought we were forgotten. However, our waitress was really nice, so I can't be too upset. I like to order Neiman's cookies to take home in order to extend our experience, but this time, for the first time they were stale. This has never happened before.

My sisters and I have enjoyed bringing our mom to lunch at The Zodiac at Neiman's
for years. We always go the day before Mother's Day, and this year decided to try
making a reservation since it's always so busy with other mother/daughter parties,
graduation luncheons, etc. In spite of our having a reservation with a separate request
(and acknowledgement)for a certain server we weren't seated in our favorite server's
section and instead placed on the other side of the room. Unfortunately our arrangement
was not mentioned by the hostess or manager, even in an apologetic way. Service was a bit slow,
understandable because of the busy afternoon, but our "substitute" server was attentive
and quick to respond when something was needed. The food was as good as we've come
to expect. Recommend going on a weekday if you'd like to linger over lunch and have a good visit.

I rediscover the Zodiac room a couple of months ago and found it to be just delightful for a quiet week day lunch spot. The wait staff and hostess tend to be disengaged until you speak to them in a direct but courteous way. I'm not a regular diner so they may think I'm not worth their attention which is completely unacceptable, especially when the restaurant is far less than half full.

The food is fresh and attempts to offer trending dishes to some success. Recently my guests enjoyed the shrimp and quinoa salad, my mother had a traditional salad sampler that was tasty but my dish the salmon, egg and foccaccia special was dumb. The dish was dead dry bread smeared with goat cheese, an overcooked egg and cold potato frites. The salmon was salvaged because it rested on a fresh bed of greens that were dressed with a perfect vinegar and oil combination.

The restaurant was very, very busy with Mother's day, college graduation and bridal celebrants. Kudos for the noise level control that allowed conversations to be heard. Our table remained cluttered and I had to asked several times for more coffee.

Dessert selections were limited at 1:00. Who doesn't plan for gobs of sinful diet breaking options for a weekend of Spring events?

For the price of dining there is room for improvement. Let's start with friendly and efficient staff, light a fire in the kitchen to inspire better presentation and never, ever run out of dessert.

I dine here once a week and have noticed that while the service from wait staff and hostess is always flawless, the quality of the food is not consistent. Some days it is excellent, while other days, like today, it was "fair." If there is more than one chef, I would highly recommend management "shopping" the restaurant on different days to ensure consistency of food quality.

The food was not what I remembered it to be. I had a Reuben sandwich that was not very good and practically flavorless. The service was fine but the decor is extremely dated with all the mirrors, etc.... Although I cannot fault them for not wanting to fix things since the store and the restaurant are both moving in 2 years.

Hostess and food were wonderful, as always. Ambiance, especially for the part of town it is in, is lovely. But the server makes the real difference. If you're asked if you read the specials and you reply that you have, the server should not then go through each one of them, unless asked for further clarification. Little things like that will make me ask for my favorites (servers) from now on.
