Food was very bland. Tasted premade/store bought. Nice restaurant but food was very lack lustre. This was not good Italian food whatsoever.
Orlando was wonderful! Thanks for a great celebration dinner!
We went for lunch during restaurant week and the food was fabulous and portions very generous.
Gluten free bread was a little burned but the pasta was delicious. The baked chicken was crispy skinned , sauce on side was not good, bread was doughy. The server was very polite and friendly. I would return for another meal. Portions were large.
Visited during Restaurant Week. Prix Fixe at only $15, 3 course and easy to much to finish. Say st the bar with Yvette who is charming and attentive. Will probably sit outside next visit.
Jason our server was very attentive until it became busy. We sat outside with a view of the San Antonio Riverwalk. Towards the end of our meal, we didn't see our waiter for while. We had the beet salad which was nice with fresh berries that were not suppose to be sour. I had the chicken entrée which was very nice. I enjoyed it. My wife had the margarita pizza with a modified sauce as we didn't care for garlic. The pizza crust was on the thicker side for an Italian restaurant but it was okay. They were touting the tiramisu, so we ordered it to go. It was a little disappointing as there were fresh berries with it a and they were quite sour. There was little tiramisu and more attention to the chocolate. There were paper thin slices of chocolate on the top and bottom and chocolate curls of milk and white chocolate sprinkled around the cake. It looked fancy but for 10 dollars, we wouldn't get it again. The atmosphere was nice and quite outside. Inside there were more groups and it was noticeably louder. Service, atmosphere, beet salad and chicken entrée were good. The pizza crust being thick made the pizza so-so and tiramisu did not live up to expectations.
Jason was such a great server. Knowledgeable about the plates and great with timing and attentiveness.
The food was great!
(We ordered the jumbo crab cakes, tagliatelle, and smoked chicken ravioli.)
Will definitely return :)
Great service and nice location on the riverfront. Quiet and away from the larger crowds.
I’m from dallas but I come here every time I travel to San Antonio. I’m gluten free, so there’s a limited amount of places I can eat at without getting sick. They have so many gluten free options here (pizza, pasta, dessert, even the appetizer bread, etc) and they’re actually tasty too. It’s also just a really nice restaurant in general. I would definitely recommend.
We were looking for a quiet place on the River Walk for dinner and this fit the bill!
The food and service was absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone that’s looking for authentic Italian food. I will definitely be returning!
We had a great time bartender were great service was great thanks for everything.
camr here for lunch alone after a spa treatment (its at the Westin on the riverwalk). order the (lunch priton) of the paparradelle with lump crab. it was fantastic. good wine choices. oredered a moscato and a pino grigio. chatted quite a bit with my waitress (jessica L). she was great brought me an amazing dessert compliments of the chef because she said she had a grat time talking to me. She also "couln't find" the button for the moscato so she comped that. liked it so much brought my husband and his collegue for dinner. dinner wasnt quite as good food wise but our waiter (Raul) was very good brought us a special dessert that wasnt yet on the menu. Coffe cheesecake on a chocolate cookie crumb crust, covered in dolce de leche. Order that!
Celebrating my wife’s birthday, restaurant were great and surprised with an amazing celebratory desert!
Over 5 nights dining out in San Antonio this was the best food we had
Should you decide to eat here for breakfast I would recommend the buffet to avoid the service problems and to get a better value for your dollar if you eat enough. The food was average, overpriced, and the service was poor (disorganized, forgot the bacon in the omelet, forgot the berries for my dates pancakes).
Mother’s Day massacre. Confusion over reservation and timing of brunch. Disorganized - not prepared for our Open Table reservation for six. Breakfast was slightly better than at a Holiday Inn. Brunch items had no Mother’s Day special features - and food was bland. At $45 a person - no tablecloth, no ambiance, fluorescent style bright lighting. All in all a real disappointment.
Our waiter was excellent, and we had a nice outdoor table. The view is the less traveled part of the river, so not all that wonderful. The food was great, as was the wine. I asked for the spaghetti and meatballs without meatballs and with vegetables instead, and it was delicious.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal.
Some of the best pasta dishes we’ve eaten. The service was abysmal but since we weren’t in a rush (& had experienced mostly horrible service all over San Antonio) we went with it. The baked ziti is to die for.
The food was not seasoned well, over cooked & ingredients of poor quality. Waiter was cordial but seemed to be acutely under the influence of something. It would have been bad at any cost, but certainly for the price paid, it was a bad dinner.
The food at this restaurant was truly "sub-par". My husband's ravioli had a terrible consistency, and my alfredo was lacking taste.
On the upside, the bartender really knew what she was doing and made a great Manhattan.
The waitress I had on Saturday April 7th was amazing. She helped us out so much. If your the manager it was during the morning. She gave us two waters to go and cranberry juice. I had the gluten feee French toast. I sadly forgot her name. Give her a raise.
Awesome place right by the river. Food was excellent.
Nice place for lunch
We booked Zocca for three at brunch time. It wasn’t that busy when we got there. The host sat us by the river walk, which was nice but only brought two menus and one set of silverware. He said he would be right back with another menu and two more silverware but never returned. Our waitress showed up we ordered our food. We got our drinks sans the water we asked for with it. When our food arrived we got the wrong food, and was missing a side. We sent back the food and finally got the right meals but never got the side or the water we asked for. Another waiter asked if we needed anything and we asked for salt and pepper, she left and ever came back. We resorted to stealing it from a near by table. It took us 30 minutes to get our check and pay. Only plus side was it was by the river walk and parking was cheap
Food was great, but service was extremely slow. Our glasses were empty before they were refilled, and we waited almost 30 minutes for the bill after we finished eating.
Great meal. Truly could it ask for anything more. Strongly recommend.
We stayed in San Antonio two nights, the first night ate in the crowded dining area. We passed Zocca on our way back to the hotel and noticed that it was in a less crowded spot. We stopped there for lunch the next day and had a wonderful meal, great service and no crowds. There was the added delight of watching a mother duck tend her eggs under a nearby bush. We liked it so much we returned for dinner that night and enjoyed delicious filet mignon. Our waiter remembered us from lunch and gave us dessert as a thanks for returning. The food is fresh, beautifully prepared, and the menu has lots of choices. The outside dining offers great ambiance right next to a less crowded part of the Riverwalk.
Good food, beautiful view on the river walk
Good location under the Westin on the Riverwalk. We had pizza and salad - no complaints. Orlando our server was great. Would return
We took our kids and they ate at a kids pace but by the time they were tired of sitting there we still didn’t have our food. Then when I was able to eat my meal the food was terrible. Definitely not what I expected
Took my wife to this restaurant to celebrate her birthday. Made reservation online for two. Upon arriving, we were seated outside by the Riverwalk. This restaurant was the perfect spot to unwind and spend a special occasion with my wife. Enjoyed a glass of Malbec wine. My wife ordered the Boneless Short Rib melted sweet potatoes, cipollini onions, romanesco, cauliflower, green beans and I ordered the Brick Oven Chicken white beans, kale, mushrooms, seasonal vegetables, pan jus. Both dinner plates were delicious. The short ribs were so tender and the meat just melted in your mouth. I would highly recommend these entrees. Wife was given a complimentary cheesecake dessert that was divine. Compliments to the Chef. Definitely would go back for the the delicious food and the ambiance.
Scheduling our table for two was very easy with the OpenTable App!
We had a great time on our 20th Wedding Anniversary! The Service and food were fantastic! We were seated near the entrance and bar and much of the socializing made for a higher than anticipated noise volume. Portions are large. Plan to bring home leftovers if you do not share.
We are looking forward to returning, soon!
quiet inside, but laughing outside
My husband and I loved the food here. I highly recommend the Caeser salad! We got fresh bread at our table and even though we were sitting outside away from everyone, we still got excellent service! We will definitely be going back!
Our waiter and meals were excellent, though being seated was a bit fragmented.
Ambience isn’t great, it’s a big restaurant that was only half full. So it was a fairly echoey, and the lighting is pretty intense.
Very Good Italian cuisine. Enjoyed the appetizers, main entree and the dessert. Foodies will enjoy.
Great service and food
It was an average meal, service was good and prompt....food was ok.....warm but not hot....very pleasant people at the front of the house and wait staff did good......
The food was really good! The only weird thing was the bread.
