We’re set right off the High Street about 20 minutes from the nearest train station. With a very light and spacious interior, Zizzi Watford is a perfect place for lunches and nights out.
We arrived exactly at one .pm and were shown straight to a table and given menus. it took a short moment to place our drinks order which arrived promptly. We then had to wait a while for the waiter to take our food order by which time the place had filled up so we had to wait a while for our main course. But the food was good and the wine good value so it was an enjoyable experience.
Great service and great food.
It was Mother's Day when we booked, and I got the impression the restaurant had forgotten to block off tables on Open Table, as we didn't get a great reception. We were a table of 3, we arrived at 12.35 and there were only 6 other tables with guests. We were told we only had 1.5 hours, which was absolutely no problem. Our waitress was quite pushy, and pressured us to order quickly. The food was excellent, no complaints there. After 50 minutes in the restaurant, the waitress proceeded to stand at our table and wait for us to finish dessert so she could take the plate. We left within the hour, and the restaurant was still half empty. I would probably not go back because of this experience.
Food was fine, tasted ok and portion sizes average to large
Booked a table at Zizzi for lunch on a Sunday. Didn't need to though as it was really quiet with plenty of availability. I was given a choice of where I wanted to sit and was swiftly offered to order a drink. The waitress we had was very attentive. My lunch was fine but unfortunately my friend's was cold. We asked for them to redo it which they did but it still wasn't great. They offered to take it off the bill but we had a 241 offer anyway. They didn't offer anything further so ended up paying the same amount as we would have done.
I went to this restaurant for my birthday. The waiter we had was all over the place. takin the wrong order, bringing the wrong food and drinks.
I had the SPAGHETTI POMODORO it was not nice. It tasted like spaghetti from a tin and tin cheap tomatoes with some tomatoes and a blob of mozzarella. I appected a lot more and fresh homemade sauce. Not smart price tomatoe sauce.
My guests had pizza and they were both burned and flavourless.
Very disappointed for my birthday meal.
Great experience - they have a vegan menu which is yummy!
The gluten free menu was quite limited, so I went for Risotto. I make this at home so I know how easy it is, regretfully what I got tasted like everything had been boiled in dishwater and served. There were no distinguishable tastes at all, if I was 5 and liked bland food this would be perfect. The staff kindly removed it from the bill. The pudding was lovely though!
As usual, Zizi's failed to disappoint. Great food and good service.
Had a great meal that was excellent. Great service from Jay who was our waiter for the night. Highly recommend it!
It is what it is, which is inconsistent. The service on this visit was pretty slow and unprofessional (i.e. the waiter was clearing while I was still eating and asked if I was done when I clearly was not - I was actually eating at the time). We have had some ok experiences here but this was not one of them. Food was decent enough.
Unfortunately they denied my booking on arrival. However fitted us in without any issue. We had a lovely meal but the smell inside this restaurant spoiled our friends evening out. The staff were squirting lots of oust but unfortunately this didn't 'hide' it! Manager supported our issue and kindly gave us a discretionary discount
Absolutely love this branch. Brilliant service and amazing food.
Great food and really accommodating for kids and family!
Good to fair, modern setting, with as-expected food that was comparatively expensive. 3 pizzas, a chicken and prosciutto salad, garlic bread, 2 cokes, a beer, G&T, and icecream came to £86 with tip. Fair enough for taking the kids to, but essentially a little pricey for what was your typical chain restaurant experience.
Great evening and great food for the family.
Very good reatraunt, friendly staff and great food!
Would have been nice if the staff were a bit faster, I asked for the bill and the waiter didn't bring it for a good 10 minutes, if it was busy I would say fair enough by the reatraunt was not nearly full
I booked a family reunion for 9 adults and 2 children and found they were very accommodating for everyone. The food was great, the service was great and it was very clean and generally nice. Would recommend.
