Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts.

Newly refurbished with fantastic décor by local art initiative. Inspired by Hitchin's wool trade history.

I've been there before for a lunch on a weekday and it was a better experience than Saturday night dinner. Most likely to be a Saturday night, noise levels were high, the waitress forgot one of the starters, and one of the pasta dishes was undercooked. So, I had to wait with my ready to eat dish, for my partner's one to be cooked. Overall, an acceptable experience. Won't stop me from returning there, but will probably avoid the busy nights.

The risotto pesce had far too much chilli in it. I have had this at the same restaurant twice before and it was delicious, unfortunately this time someone definitely over did the chilli.

Did not have our booking down Was told we could have a table and they didn't have three main course dishes no normal coke or no brownie! Food ordered poor quality had to wave at barmaid to get her attention to order our second drink after being there for an hour We will not return

Booked zizzi for my daughters farewell meal before heading to university today (Sunday). I am really sorry I booked. Whilst I appreciate that on arrival that due to a large birthday celebration we were told that food maybe slightly delayed. Well that was an understatement, we arrived just before 8pm but didn't get our food until 9.35pm. it wasn't as if the restaurant was even full or as if the party took over the restaurant, it seemed more like a normal Saturday night service. Everyone around us were complaining but the management just kept saying sorry, did will be with you soon (which was a lie) and when staff were complained too, where I was sitting the waitresses would turn away and laugh/snigger at the person who had made the complaint. From our experience and watching what was happening to everyone else except the birthday group oneone seemed to care or value of how customers felt, it seemed to me that warning people on arrival of a delay was their justification for any lack in efficiency. Management should have been working hard to talk to all customers, offer complimentary drink, reassure etc I also ordered with other drinks, 2 pink G&T which although they arrived about 30 mins after we placed our order both drinks were missus half the ingredients. It should have had real fresh raspberries, cucumber and mint but unless there is a new invisible type of ingredients on the market ....our drinks did not have them. Although we were still charged 6.95 per drink. On a positive note the food was tasty when it arrived, so the chef's were doing a reasonable job, but the staff and management on duty were not taking care of their customers and making sure where possible everyone was happy.

My hubby and I were staying at the hotel across the road for our anniversary, so booked Zizzi for dinner. We had been there before (on a Valentine's Day some years ago) where we had been disappointed, but this time it was much better. I was a bit worried when I heard kids, but they didn't distract us at all. The food was fab, the service was great (lovely waitress) and the only negative was that they had run out of Prosecco! I would definitely visit again.

This restaurant was very busy, but the staff friendly and worked hard. However, two risotto dishes were virtually tasteless. The manager offered a replacement dish, but by that time the rest of our party had finished the course....and the edge had been taken off our appetite. The deserts sounded good; but no! - a hair was found in the chocolate dessert. Apologies again, and another offered. No thanks! The bill arrived minus risottos but not two chocolate tarts. The courteous manager did remove them, but no further reduction offered.

After being shown to our table our drinks orders were taken but then took 20 minutes to be provided. Our main course, desserts and drinks orders were not fulfilled and we were left w iothout food and drinks orders and then charged for them so had to have them removed from the bill. Very disappointing experience.
