Zizzi - Eastbourne
My husband’s 40th-food was great, kids were entertained with activity sheet and I loved the vegan coconut ice cream and beetroot poppets. The vegan options are great and we came back again just for ice-cream.
The food and service were good at Zizzi Eastbourne but an invasion of small annoying flies around the restaurant were off putting to say the least , the manager says they are getting the problem rectified soon.
Food and service very good
We went early evening and the restaurant was quite the waitress was polite and served are drinks quickly and took our order, unfortunately the food served was not good mostly bland and lacking content for example my wife’s pizza was supposed to come with olives but they were very scarce and the father in laws lamb shank looked more like a chicken drumstick. The restaurant became busier and it was still minimal staff which made ordering more drinks impossible then a long wait for the bill added to the disappointment
The poker face reception answered YEAP to my Hello.
Food isn’t hot enough. Ordered ravioli with tomato sauce. Very obviously just boiled the ravioli in hot water then on top add tomato sauce.
Piazza, just warm only.
And everything served very very quick. 40mins finished 3 courses.
Nice table near the large window frontage, perfect starters and were all lovely and hot, felt better atmosphere when more customers being seated, past 6pm, and enjoyed good main meals (classic pizza, rissotto, carbarnaro pasta) and great way to send off son for his first University night!
Excellent. Well looked after and good with children. Food tasted lovely and was hot. Kept an eye on the drinks so we didn't have to wait.
helpful friendly staff, good atmosphere, and food was served at correct temperature and very tasty. well worth a visit
Friendly helpful staff, good food choice, food served at correct temperature and tasted good, good atmosphere in restaurant.
Amazing service very efficient,
We enjoyed a lovely family meal for our party of 7 with attentive service, lots of smiles and good, honest food. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and was modern and spacious. Would definitely visit again....thank you
There was much concern on arrival at the restaurant...as a booking had been confirmed by Open Table, but the restaurant had not been informed and we were worried that a full restaurant might mean we would have to go elsewhere!
But, the staff provided a very friendly welcome, apologising the any delay...as they sought to provide a table. This was a disappointing start to the evening.
Thankfully, the staff and quality of the food soon helped us to overcome the initial setback....and it proved to be a most enjoyable meal, with good choices on offer.
This is the first time that an Open Table booking had not been realised by the restaurant we had chosen.
Another good meal..................................
Admittedly it was extremely busy on a Saturday evening during the Eastbourne Airbourne air show, but it just felt very average, the service wasn't amazing. I had a hot pizza topping and no one came up during the course of the meal to ask if we wanted any more drinks or some water, and my mouth was on fire, was also difficult to attract the attention of waiting staff. I tried a different pizza for a change and I have to say sliced new potatoes on a pizza is just odd.... it was full of very loud children and was very noisy generally, so its great if you have small children. I guess its just a typical, chain, unexciting restaurant that was under pressure from a full house. I am distinctly underwhelmed by the Zizzis chain generally,
Nice table at back. Staff gave us plenty of time to chat & look at the menu before taking our order. Bread bucket with balsamic vinegar & olive oil was lovely we could pour what we wanted in to individual bowls. My warm steak & mushroom salad was cooked to perfection with the steak medium rare as requested. The 2 pizzas looked lovely but with the buckets of bread to start we could only manage a coffee & not a dessert! I had a birthday voucher which gave me my main meal free, which I got from signing up to their newsletter. We sat at our table for 3 hours & were not pressured into leaving, we had a lovely evening & will be going back soon.
Booked a table for my Wife's birthday and took advantage of their e-mailed special menu. When we got there they gave us a little card with the special all in menu and after much song and dance over what we could and couldn't have we decided not to bother any more and to pay for the wine and leave.
On arrival I showed the waitress my booking number and email confirmation but they didn't have the reservation.. But after a couple of minutes of waiting we were seated, fairly close to other diners, at the front of the restaurant.
The waitress took our drink and food order and this was brought over in good time. The food was very nice and there was nothing to fault from there on..
Lovely restaurant, good staff, go there!!
Very warm & welcoming atmosphere on a wet & foggy evening. Food very good.
We had given up on Zizzis for a couple of years - the menus were tired and we had some poor experiences, including Eastbourne. However our recent visit was a pleasant surprise. A much more interesting menu, very fresh ingredients and well prepared meals, even the apple juice was so full of flavour!. And to top it all a really wonderful waiter who could not do any more to help. A great experience.
First time dining at eastbourne zizzi's. Thanks for a nice everning
a lovely restaurant, nice decor and food...a bit noisey for a truely romantic interlude, could benefit from some romantic sound proofed booths. still a great place to eat!
Modern setting, clean with polite and prompt staff. Pizza's good to look at and eat, I had the Mare e Mont. Pudds good, my wife had ice cream and i had the cheesecake which is amazing, had this in Glasgow. Herbal teas and Americano coffee also good. The damage was £42 which is excellant value.
Very pleasant place to visit with ambience and service getting the top marks. The food is good, but lacks in presentation. The pizza, for instance, came simply as that. No leaves, a prevalence of yellow and green from eyeing my friend's across the table. He couldn't eat it all and described it as okay, but loved the atmosphere. I had the three tapas plate for £13 and was still rather hungry after that so had a lemon tart, which was the best eaten anywhere. The wine was good, too. A tad expensive for what it was but I'd go back for the amgience and service.
Valentines @ Zizzi in Eastbourne. When arrived was disappointed that there was only a set menu but chose anyway. When food arrived it was very good and more than enough for the two of us. Enjoyed the £1 a glass Prosecco and a good bottle of Sauv Blanc. A good value, quality evening
Zizzi in Eastbourne is a good value, safe option. We tried the new Cichetti range of dishes (starter + 6 dishes + dessert for £35) and were happy with the selection and the quality.
Good food and service, although a quiet night for the restaurant, so unfortunately atmosphere somewhat lacking; but would definitely return when hopefully busier.
Great food, nice service, bu took quite a lot of time with not so many people.
Zizzi Eastbourne: food was good and lots of it, reasonably priced and very friendly and helpful waiting staff
We had a nice meal for 4 at Zizzi on Friday night. Service and food were both good. Always happy to see special dishes which adds to an already more-than adequate menu. A step above Pizza Express/Prezzo. Smell of damp in the cellar toilets...to be expected I guess but not pleasant between courses.
Zizzi - Eastbourne
Very friendly, efficient staff. Lovely food, good atmosphere
My wife and I booked Zizzi in Eastbourne because of the special top table offer. Although they were busier than they had expected and warned us of a delay in serving, we were very happy with the overall experience. We did have to wait for all our courses so that would have been a problem if we were in a hurry. But the food was good and the portions generous. There were also some specials on the board which we would have tried if we were not on the set menu. RECOMMENDED.
Visited Zizzi, Eastbourne last night. Great buzzy place, attentive staff and great food. Would recommend.
Myself, my daughter and her friend ate at Zizzi Bournemouth on Saturday night. I had booked the £13.95 special but was told it was ony available Monday - Thursday so could not use the offer. Having said that the meal we had was very nice and we all had starters and a main course each. It did work out to be more expensive than I had hoped to spend but the food was good.
We had a nice enough meal in Zizzi's, Eastbourne. The only downside was they would not give us the special offer meal that we had booked as apparently it not valid everyday even though this is not what it had said when booking. Nevertheless good portions and excellent service. Just cost us a little more than we had expected!
good food good service! I love zizii and the eastbourne one was is a good location!
