Zizzi - Beckenham
About
Very busy service a little slow maybe because there were so many people will try again to see if it is the same
Great food and the lady was very nice looking after us and the babies that was with us.
It seems Zizzi has been taken over by family groups that are happy to let their children run wild around the restaurant shouting and screaming while mommy and daddy ignore their behaviour and get sloshed on wine.
Used to enjoy going here for the food but that was the last time.
A little too bright in this restaurant for my liking and a little too noisey! I had the skewer and the chicken was quite dry and not very tasty - overpriced too in my opinion. I did mention the food to the waitress but received no feedback.
Attentive staff, good food, great selection. Very friendly, relaxing atmosphere. We had a table for 10 people and it was exceedingly good value for money.
Very bad , food was awful!!!!
Another visit to Zizzi's which does seem to have the knack of varying its menu nicely without alienating its core audience. Beckenham is not our nearest branch (Croydon is nearer but neither I nor my friends have ever had a good experience there over the many years that it's been open), but the service in Beckenham was excellent until it came to paying for the bill. Unfortunately all the guys left the work to one girl who was otherwise engaged so it took far too long to attract attention. Otherwise a great meal.
The meal was excellent. The portion size was not generous but the quality was better than I have had elsewhere.
Easy dining for an ad hoc meal out. Menu had great choices (including for vegetarians) and the food was good. Staff were friendly and the right level of attentive.
It was my daughter's 18th birthday and, despite some of the party being delayed and arriving late, the waitress remained attentive, personable and patient. With a mixed party of adults and children, I was surprised that everything went so smoothly. The food was great and I couldn't fault the staff. We stayed for ages and never felt rushed at any point. Will definitely return.
In general nice experience. Food is not gourmet but not bad for a chain restaurant. Service was good and so was the timing between courses.
Nice cocktails!
Always a lovely experience which is why it's my favourite Zizzi's
Service wasn't at its best. But food was great and overall the meal was excellent value for money.
Will not be visiting again, awful food and cleanliness is very low.
Dined here with my sister and two nieces and had a lovely evening - service was a little slow at times, as the restaurant became busier, but very friendly staff and the food was good. It was actually my niece's 8th birthday treat, so I arranged with the restaurant for them to sing her happy birthday and add candles to her pudding (which they also personalised with her name - very sweet). She loved it! It's definitely a kiddie friendly establishment and I'd go back again....
This is a regular visit for me & the girls. We tend to visit Beckneham once a month as we really enjoy the food & the relaxed vibe in the restaurant. The service is always very good & will continue to visit on a monthly basis
Food quality has definitely changed here over the last few months and I don't know if this is down to new chefs or new recipes. The linguini gamberi dish used to be my favourite but now it gets served with a horrible watery sauce which isn't pleasant.
Service was ok until at 10.45pm when we asked for coffee. We were told the machine had been cleaned so we couldn't have any. That's just bad service in my book. If they were going to close the bar & coffee machine they should have come to ask us if we wanted anything else before they closed it.
We have an Ask & Prezzo in Beckenham so will go there in future.
The number of vegetarian options appears to have reduced since a previous visit (although I am not vegetarian, the other diner on this occasion is and other friends are). It was particularly disappointing that there is no vegetarian option for calzone.
However, the service was friendly and reasonably efficient - apart from a rather long wait for coffees - and the food was acceptably hot.
Restaurant is clean and well organised. Service was a bit slow but it was a Saturday night. Food was good and reasonable value for money. Overall our experience was pleasant.
I've been to this restaurant many times and always have a good experience. However, when we arrived on Saturday night the restaurant had no record of my booking for 12 people! It was my boyfriend's birthday and this could have been a disaster, luckily for us the restaurant manage to sort a table for us, but this really could have been a nightmare!
Would really appreciate some feedback as to what may have happened with my booking.
I've been here many times and I always enjoy the service and quality of food. I think it is much better than pizza express.
Plenty of space (on a Monday night) for a reasonbly quiet chat with friends. Good food and service.
i enjoyed the food and the service was very good too. the only drawback was the noise level was very high so it was very difficult to have a conversation without shouting. i was pleased that the toilets were very clean as i feel this is important in a restaurant.
Friendly service, good food & reasonably priced wine.
Good food and a nice atmosphere at Zizzi's in Beckenham. They did not have the wine we chose and the gluten free pasta was not cooked properly, hard not aldente, but they rectified this and brought some more that was fine - just a pity we were not all able to eat our food together at the same time. Everything else was great, rustica pizza with pepperoni and spict harissa chicken, chicken superfood salad and seafood pasta were all very food and with 2 for £12.95 mains - a bargain!
Great pizzas - one rustica one standard...Crispy and just enough topping for a tasty treat.
Great value with the toptable deal.
Attentive service.
Nice ambience.
Great food at a great price with the 25% offer.
Great food and service as usual at Zizzi's in Beckenham. A great place to go with the kids.
Great food
Went to Zizzi's on Thursday night with some of the mums from school. Great food
Food was great as usual at Zizzi's in Beckenham but last Thursday 19/4, they had a David Bowie tribute band in there from 7.30pm
Nice food. Good service. Thanks
Excellent food and service as ever. A bit echo-y and noisy so I personally wouldnt recommend for a date
Good place to eat a bowl of pasta and catch up with friends...
I visited Zizzi in Beckenham for the first time last night and we had a very nice night out. It's a lovely designed branch (David Bowie themed due to being his home town and he has links to the building) and was one of the better Zizzi's I've been to. Food was very nice, service was good and we didn't have to wait too long for anything. I'd definitely go again.
Had to wait extremly long time for coffee and dessert and to get the bill and only about 30% full so not rushed off their feet by any means!
We went on a Friday night and there was only one other table occupied for the time we were there, which was a bit surprising.
We found the service very attentive and helpful and the food a notch above the average Italian fare. We both had pasta as a main course, mine was with lobster and it looked like I had a whole lobster mixed into my spaghetti.
For desert I had 'Torta di Nonna' which, although homemade, was a bit dense.
All in all a good experience and recommended.
Zizzi - Beckenham. It was a lovely meal as usual with our friends at one of our favourite restaurants. Recommend the Rustica Piccante pizza and the Affogato was a great way to end the meal. Enjoyed by all. Thanks.
We went to Zizzis in Beckenham. Food took ages and was burnt. Dessert supposed to be melting chocolate was still frozen. Staff not bothered. Not happy.
Il Camino in New Malden,Surrey - the service was impeccable and the food was absolutely outstanding. Totally delicious!
