The illustrations that occupy the various walls have been inspired by the local area and compiled by the artist Lizzie Stewart. Lizzie's inspiration for the artwork has been inspired by the city of Aberdeen and its mix of industrial and historical; the solid granite buildings against the working backdrop of sea and ships. The bright, primary colours are taken from those of the boats in the dock and the quote is from Victorian Scottish writer and social commentator Thomas Carlyle. Went in before going to cinema. Service was quick without feeling rushed. Staff were helpful & friendly. Meal was tasty & hot. Would recommend & will go back

This is the second time I've been in this restaurant, and on both occasions I had to be refunded my money because the food was well below standard.

I had lunch here and it was lovely. The staff could not have been nicer. The food was lovely.

My Husband had pasta and there was more pasta than anything else on the plate.I had a chicken skewer dish and the chicken was really dry. The staff are excellent and were very attentive. The place was quite quiet compared to the other restaurants in Union Square. I was quite disappointed actually. I don't think I would go back.

My wife and I had a meal at Union Square, Aberdeen after going to Cineworld last Saturday afternoon and to use up a gift card that we had received from one of our grandchildren for Christmas. The choice of food and the food itself was very good, but the outstanding bit for me was our waitress, who was so polite and chatty and helped make the meal a very enjoyable occasion.
