Ziziki's - Travis Walk Ratings and Reviews
Very attentive service with prompt delivery . Food was great apperizer portion a bit small , but it is an appetizer:) Outside availability was easy and accommodations were fantastic. Great for an evening out before the opera/play/ballet. Neighborhood was safe and well lit with valet. Overall great experience!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first time experience here. We found the restaurant, the food, and the service to be exceptional. We started with the charcuterie board, which was excellent. One of us had lamb and one the chicken kabobs. All of the food was delightful, and the service we got was above par. We will definitely go back. It is not all atmosphere here; the food is really, really good.
Ziziki's is one of our favorite and most-visited restaurants in Dallas. We love the outdoor seating and the food is delicious! Plus, the waitstaff is excellent and so friendly! This time we had one old favorite -- the paella -- and one new experience -- the Islands and Ocean (?) special. Both were wonderful! We definitely recommend Ziziki's.
Our evening at Zizikis was, of course, centered on the food, but the service and ambiance created the perfect context in which to enjoy it. My sea scallops were large, perfectly grilled, melt-in-your- mouth delicious. Their flavor was complimented with basil and mint and they were served on top of a very light, but luscious, cream sauce. The asparagus that accompanied them was bright green and perfectly al dente.
My husband's Greek paella combined chicken, jumbo shrimp, lamb and a whole sausage on top of Greek-seasoned rice. He left nothing in the pan!
Zizikis has two dining rooms--the main one with a hostess, bar and kitchen, and a small, more intimate one across the courtyard which they use for private parties or occasional overflow. We asked to be seated in the smaller space, as there was already one table of diners there. The starched white table cloths and warm color scheme create an inviting and romantic atmosphere and the low noise level meant we could converse and be heard throughout our evening.
Zizikis is our go to place for an upscale neighborhood restaurant and a guaranteed enjoyable dinner!
This was our third visit to Ziziki's in the past four months. My husband and I love Greek food, and we love mimosas, so it's the perfect match for us. It's a small restaurant, and can get very crowded and hectic, even though you make reservations (I overheard the host seating some people who walked in without a reservation). But they keep the delicious food coming, and the mimosas, so as long as we get a seat, we're OK. :)
