Ziziki's - Plano Ratings and Reviews
This was our first time at their Plano location. We enjoyed the mushroom soup and cheese plate (cured meats, hummus, olives, and a selection of cheeses with pita bread and crostini’s) for an appetizer, and shared the rack of lamb for dinner (fabulous; cooked to perfection) and special Red or White wines from Greece flight offer.
The food was excellent and service attentive and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!!
I've eaten at Ziziki's many time - and in different locations. It's great for healthy, yummy food and great service in a usually quiet setting. I brought my family in for a special occasion lunch after church and was stunned to discover that the Plano location does not offer menu items on Sundays. I was bummed because I don't enjoy a buffet. I like a specific item from their menu and knew that we would be overpaying for food that I simply wouldn't eat. I wouldn't have suggested this restaurant had I known that it was a brunch option only day. If you like a brunch buffet, this is a great place for that. They included everything from hummus and pita, Spanakopita, salad, eggs, pancakes, chicken and potatoes - and many more. My mom was happy because she was less familiar with the restaurant and she could literally sample their menu item by item. Our service was terrific and it was nice and quiet so everyone could actually enjoy our conversation.
So - just know that the Plano location only serves the brunch and will not allow you to order from their menu. I wish I had known that beforehand - but it all worked out. My family was happy with the experience.
We always enjoy our dinners here. We love the Ziziki Bread for one of our appetizers. The Lamb salad is delicious and very filling. I got the mushroom soup and the tuna tartare tower that were specials this night -- both were excellent. We will continue to return here.
We've been going to Ziziki's since it opened in Plano, and the other location before. We were so excited it was in our neighborhood. We go there at least 2 or 3 times a month - sometimes you just want to go get a Greek salad. Of course, since then, our choices have expanded and we find many items on their menu that we love. I highly recommend it!
Zizikis has once again delivered on a delightful date night dinner. Their artichoke dip is yummy. We got the dip trio. They even have gluten free pita that was darn good. We each had entree salads. Mine was skewered salmon and my husband had mixed seafood. The salmon was perfectly cooked as seasoned. Wait staff was attentive but not in your face. The pace of the meal was relaxed and they did not hurry us out after dinner.
Great Service, Tasty Food. Our waiter was knowledgeable and patience while ordering. Even with a large crowd, service was fast and food served at the correct temps. Each of our meals were both delicious and attractive. Nice relaxing environment. With the amount of full tables, it was a bit noisy. A great place to enjoy a special occasion.
Two good entrees, mousaka and salmon filet; two not so good entrees pastichio and lamb souvlaki. Lamb was over done and chewy, while macaroni layer of pastichio was solidified. The pastichio was replaced with a smaller portion, but the lamb kebab was not. The Ziziki greek salads were wilted and meagerly portioned. Convenient location, unfortunately just passable.
Service was excellent as usual but my husband and I were disappointed with the lamb souvlaki, it did not have it's normal flavor and was tough. We have been many times and this was the first time that made us question if we want to go back, not sure what happened to the lamb Friday night.
My husband and I were on an errand in the area. Our kids were busy so it was just us for dinner. We found Ziziki's after just driving around and seeing it. We checked some reviews before heading in and found some good ones. We were impressed when we walked in and were seated. The ambience and décor were perfect for our unexpected "date night". The food and service were terrific! We will be back.
Ziziki's is a family favorite - the food is delicious and everything makes for a great night out. This review is for a Father's Day Brunch that my family enjoyed. The brunch was outstanding and the food was fresh and tasty. I am going to say it again - (but very quietly so hopefully I can continue to get a table) Ziziki's is without fail, one of the best not-too expensive, not-too pretentious restaurant's in Plano. Note: My reviews on Ziziki's may seem like they are biased, maybe perhaps many could think I am a shill of the owner's or something. I can assure you that I am not paid or compensated in any way from Ziziki's!
Ziziki's never disappoints - Mother's Day Brunch was excellent - if I could sign up today for next Mom's Day, I would. Everyone loved the warm pita with cheese bread to start everything off and then whatever you want to eat, whatever you want to drink all included in one price. I am telling you Ziziki's is amazing. Ok, do not, I repeat, do not tell everyone on Opentable about Ziziki's (especially the Chicken Scallopine and mashed potatoes). Otherwise, the secret will be out and there will be no way to get a reservation at my favorite neighborhood eatery.

Ziziki's is a "mature" restaurant. They have long term employees who give stability to excellent service and fare. The cuisine is authentic Greek with pretty much all the favorites you would actually get in Greece. Attention to detail is superb. Ingredients are always fresh and good. Chef does a magnificent job, and easily able to customize many recipes for allergies. The Rack of Lamb is always tip top. Greek Paella is a great twist with orzo pasta rather than rice. I'm not usually fond of orzo, so I asked for a taste before ordering, which I hey very happily provided. The mix of shrimp, chicken, and chicken sausage is delightful, with a mild curry flavor to the dish.
Wine list has some really great value terrific wines for $40 and under. Service is always attentive and totally professional without being intrusive. The management knows how to be attentive to every detail, and it works. Never had a miss at Ziziki's, it's always great.
For a long leisurely dinner with conversation, the only possible issue is the wooden chairs eventually feel pretty hard. Other than that, Ziziki's is about as good a Greek restaurant as you could ever desire. Reliably excellent. Oh, the Sunday brunch is also great, and one of the best brunch values in Dallas.
We went on a weekend Dallas food tour. Ate at several amazing restaurants. This one was a disappointment. We love Greek food! This was poorly cooked and seasoned. Neither of us finished our entrees. He ordered the rack of lamb and I ordered the moussaka. What was good? The only reason they aren't getting a 1 rating? The goat cheeses appetizer and the tiramisu. I ordered a decaf coffee but was up all night so I think their was a mistake made.
