Always good food & service.
I took my friend to Zio Cecio to celebrate her birthday. Overall, the experience was great! You valet park your vehicle (free aside from tips) and walk in. The staff was friendly and receptive. We had a reservation, though we didn't need it.
We both ordered drinks and bread as an appetizer while we waited. The server's recommendations were great! I had the Neri Alle Vongole and my friend had the Quadratini Alla Mentuccia. We both would definitely order that again! Everything tasted fresh, vibrant and authentic.
For desert we ordered creme brulee and it was far better than any we've had in a while.
Aside from the food, we weren't ever rushed to leave. The server continued to bring us water as we relaxed, finished our drinks and talked.
Food was good. Service could have been better. Server could have been more knowledgeable.
Food was excellent, had the pork chop and seafood ravioli. Calamari was different than most places, had pieces of fish mixed in and was a good. Definitely a repeat place.
Love the local neighborhood feel and the pastas are terrific too. I think Zio has the best carpaccio in DALLAS.
Try to get one of the more experienced servers. The new staff needs to learn the menu and they don’t communicate the specials well.
Great food but overall way too high a price for the small portions. Food is excellent. They should give you $34 worth of the seafood pasta. Only 5 ravioli with crab meat for $19.
This is a special gem! If you like authentic Sardinia food, then become a regular here. The owner/chef is warm, kind and very caring over his guests. The high quality of food will leave you in a state of happiness. You can see the care that has been put into the details and the training of the employees. Everyone was so nice!
This is the third time I have been to the restaurant. It will be the last. The first time, the food was generally good. The second time, the food was mediocre. This time, the food just wasn't very good, and the server could have cared less, even though he highly recommended one of the dishes we had. As an appetizer, we had the pizza with the prosciutto. The crust itself was doughy and undercooked, and cold, poor quality prosciutto was layered on top. The fettuccine bolognese was a better choice, but the pasta itself was overcooked. The waiter highly recommended the lasagna with meat sauce, but it turned out to be nothing more than a cheap blob of cheese, with no layering of pasta and void of any real meat sauce. When asked by the waiter, we told him of our opinion, but he seemed uninterested in our feedback at that point. Perhaps he was too focused on trying to steer other guests to an expensive bottle of wine as he did with us. I don't expect that much from Italian restaurants in Dallas, but Zio Cecio can't even meet the standard of mediocrity any longer.
Date night with my wife for Valentine’s Day.
Great place to have a date night or an evening with great friends and good food.
It was a magical Valentines dinner thanks to Francesco Farris and his team of professional, warm and efficient wait staff.
The owner has worked hard to build this neighborhood gem.
It was Valentine's Day and our first trip to ZC.
It will not be our last.
The food was amazing
The wine was amazing
Service was good.
Only ever so slight issue was the chairs. Hard flat wood. Cushion would be great.
Absolutely delicious. My waiter was really nice and attentive. 10/10 recommend.
This place was flawless, not only In service and ambience, but the food was as authentic as you can get!! Phenomenal!! Will definitely be returning.
Love this place. Intimate setting and great food. Their Cabonara is fantastic. Everyone loved their meal.
Italian food is our "go to" and we prepare it commonly at home. We were disappointed with the special dish of the night - a pasta with shrimp. It was served in a tomato sauce that was fine but nothing amazing. And came with 5 or 6 shrimp. The cost was $31. Seriously overpriced especially given that most pastas on their menu were somewhere between $13.50 and $19.50. This dish did not warrant the price. The pizza was underwhelming too. Far too much cheese.
Your friendly, neighborhood Italian restaurant with very well executed food.
AMAZING! I felt so at home here, first time! Will definitely be back. Loved everything about this place!!
We had a terrific dinner. Everyone enjoyed their entree. The owner is very personable.
Zio Cecio is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Their fish has always been amazing and their carpaccio. When we do take the kids, they devour the pizza. Quiet and romantic yet family friendly earlier in the eve;)
The octopus starter, squid ink clam pasta were delicious.
Zio Cecio is our favorite Italian restaurant in Dallas. The friendly and welcoming yet sophisticated service is rare amongst restaurants these days. What is more, the food is always delicious, fresh, and creative.
For appetizers, the focaccia bread and the calamari are the best in town. Our favorite entrees include the lasagna, the branzino, and any of the pasta dishes. For dessert, the limoncello cake is a must-have. Wine connoisseurs will appreciate the fine selection of Italian wines.
We highly recommend Zio Cecio for your next Italian night out.
Enjoyable experience overall. One of Dallas' better Italian spots in a fun, vibrant setting. The $35.00 corkage fee to bring your own wine is the highest I've ever paid. Wine list itself seems overpriced with very few inexpensive selections.
Excellent! Food and service both superb, as always! We enjoy sitting on the patio --reminds us of eating at our favorite little place outside in Venice.
Too expensive and way too noisy.
Ordered the mussels, carbonara, and bolognase. Mussels were great. Carbonara was quite salty. Bolognase was good.
Zeo Cecio is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. The food is always good and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Family friendly and wonderful staff. The food is amazing every time.
Perfect date night spot. Awesome food, awesome service!
We had an excellent time at Zio Cecio. The food was delicious, especially the Neri Alle Vongole (Squid ink infused spaghetti with fresh clams), which my husband ordered. I had the gnocchi, which was also very good, but luckily my husband was willing to share with me. The service was wonderful and we were not rushed, but able to spend time enjoying a lovely evening with our friends.
always great service from valet , Maitre D, servers. No rushing. very nice evening catching up with friends.
Delicious, freshly prepared foods. Very reasonably priced. Wait staff are attentive. Save room for dessert! Can’t wait to go back!
Zio is our favorite neighborhood restaurant--always great authentic Italian food, very efficient and friendly service, casual ambiance, and excellent wine list with some excellent Italian wines at very reasonable prices.
One of the best meals ever! The food was absolutely amazing and the service was impeccable. My first time there but looking forward to many more!
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Dallas. Excellent.
Owner Francesco's personal attention makes this place so special and worth visiting.
Had a great dinner with my family.
Was together with my children but staff treated us very well and was great time there.
Want to go there again.
