Zino Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Zino’s is solid “real Italian “ food! The owner is from Italia and his recipes are to die for! They make their own pasta for many of the dishes. Whenever we are up skiing from Denver this is our first stop and many times our last on the way back down the hill! Try the mussels amazing, the papardelli awesome. Everything we have had there is amazing, you can’t go wrong!!! Ciao
The waiter forgot to bring us our appetizers. We only realized this when the entrees came out. He also did not bring an ice tea that was ordered. Butter did not come out with the bread and after asking for butter, it took 20 minutes to arrive. We've eaten there multiple times and had very good experiences. We'll try again but if we have another experience like this one, we will not return.
We have been going to Zino’s for years. This dinner was the lowest. They seated at a table that had a vent blowing cold air the entire meal. We all had to wear jackets to stay warm. When we complained, their solution was to put a piece of wood over the vent; however it did not block the blowing cold air. When our main courses arrived, three of six dishes were cold. It will be a long time before we go back to Zino’s
We visit the Avon - Edwards area once a week each year over the Christmas holidays. Zino has been a favorite for years. Last night our experience was not so good. Three of us were eating. I ordered a pasta dish, my son said, “I’ll take the same thing,” and my husband ordered a different pasta dish. When the pasta was brought out they brought 3 different pasta dishes. I pointed out the error and they whisked the wrong one away, but it was several minutes until the correct on was produced. By then my husband and son were nearly finished eating. When the bill came there was a Maker’s Mark cocktail added onto the bill - and we had ordered just a bottle of wine. The waitress did correct the bill. While I know this is a busy week, and errors can occur, It seemed like the service was very careless. The food was as good as usual.
We ordered two salads, and pasta (carbonara) and short ribs for the entrees. Salads are very generous. Food came hot, and both of us enjoyed our meals. Bread was also very good - especially the smaller slices with salt on the crust. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by the EVOO. Zino's was fresh and nutty - very good quality. Recommend. Also, saw most people ordered pizzas, so those must be good, also.
Always a wonderful meal at Zino's! If you have not tried this GEM... we would highly recommend. One of our most favorite restaurants in Eagle County. We are locals and have tried many many restaurants in Vail, Beaver Creek, Eagle Vail, and Eagle, and when we think of a special place to go, this is one of our top 3! Their mussels are the best in the valley as well as their burrata . Big fan of the Pappadelle, as well as their Pork Chop. Good flat bread pizzas.. especially this summers fresh corn flat bread! Oh my... simply delish!! During ski season make sure to make a reservation in advance. You won't be disappointed.
One of our favorite restaurants to take out of town visitors or just the 2 of us for a special occasion. We have always had excellent food, well prepared & presented! A new & improved red wine list was a nice surprise on Saturday. A good value if you want a lovely dining experience! We have never been disappointed! Thanks Zino's!!
We always sit outside on the patio because it's so beautiful. But last night it was cool so we had a table inside next to the widow so we could enjoy the beautiful view! Zino's was very lively with people of all ages enjoying delicious Italian food. The mussels are outstanding but all the food is great.
I highly recommend it...and I am Italian!
Loved every part of this meal. Hostess was friendly and made great first impression. Server was terrific and really knew her wines (suggested delightful and affordable pairing for us after we chose entrees!). First plates were worth fighting over - fresh tomato soup vs melon and prosciutto ... both YUM. Veal meatballs vs Strozzapretti were equally delicious second plates. Staff let us casually finish the wine - no rush, but attentive support all the way along.
We'll be back for sure!
Not our first visit - we went for Tuesday mussels madness. Both had mussels - outstanding with a different than normal dipping liquid. We also shared a dish of papardelle with veal meatballs - homemade pasta done well and very light meatballs - yum! Al fresco table topped it all off.
