Zink Kitchen + Bar Ratings and Reviews
We made reservations which were not necessary for Sunday lunch. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had a carne asada pizza that was big enough for two people to share. The staff was friendly and the manager even took time to come and chat and bring us a yummy birthday treat. We will be going back to try their happy hour
The menu here is always interesting and different every time we visit. The pulled pork and lumpia (shrimp/vegetable egg rolls) were excellent. My Rocky Mountain Sunrise was a good strong drink. Only two disappointments. One was that we ordered a side of artichokes, but the waiter brought out what he called a potato/artichoke medley. It was mostly potatoes. Perhaps they had run low on artichokes, but I think the waiter should have asked first before bringing out something different. The chicken lasagna was just a couple of lasagna noodles folded over a ricotta mixture - no distinguishable chicken - not a layered affair as one would expect.
I made a reservation at Zink Kitchen + Bar, for our monthly get together for dinner with friends.
We all were very pleased with the experience. Food was very fresh and tasty and the service impeccable. Very friendly and quiet atmosphere and the courteous staff. Strongly recommend for any occasion.
This was perfect for our ladies' holiday lunch. Parking was easy. Location was easy to get to and find. It was quiet. Service was friendly, but not overly so. They left us alone to visit but were discreetly attentive to our needs. Food was not great, but not bad. Prices were high for what we got. Atmosphere was dark, but clean and pleasant enough. We were happy to be together without being pressured to hurry and fighting lots of noise.
Great restaurant considering this place is tucked inside a hotel. The staff were very friendly, the service was prompt and the food was of good quality. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly. The menu was varied and different. Quite a nice little hidden gem in DTC. We'll definitely visit again.
We stayed overnight, because it is so close to Fiddler's venue!! We saw One Republic ... and decided to eat dinner at ZInk since it was so convenient. Highly recommend staying in this hotel and enjoying dinner/breakfast at Zink if you decide to go to a concert at Fiddler's!
We ate here since it was in our hotel prior to a concert and it had pretty good reviews online. Our host - I didn't catch his name - 5pm reservation on 9/9/17 was fantastic; he was so nice and informative and we sure wish he would have stayed our server. Our server was a lady that came from the bar; my thinking was she doesn't serve often and didn't want to leave the bar area to help us often. We ordered some house wine from her; great deal on the Happy Hour end - $3 a glass. Our server was short/rude with us from the get go though. We ordered two appetizers and two pizzas; hoping it would come out sooner than later since we were on somewhat of a schedule. The food took a long time; which happens but we didn't think we ordered complicated items. The green beans were OK (thin, wimpy ones) but pricey and barely served 2 people. We had 4 people at our table. The brussel sprouts were pretty good and a nice size/value. We ordered two pizzas (overpriced personals); one ham and pineapple and one cheese - I know cheese isn't on the menu (we asked our server if we could order cheese) but I didn't think you could mess it up. We only got the cheese pizza because our server said someone else took our ham and pineapple. Not sure how that was our fault and that was her way of dealing with it; saying someone else took it. The cheese pizza was under cooked and they mixed a bunch of cheeses together on it and the pepper jack cheese dominated the whole flavor of the pizza. Of course we weren't happy at all by this point in our overall experience so we just asked to pay and leave ASAP. Very disappointing. We may have even paid for the pizza we didn't because we couldn't wait to leave as soon as possible; getting away from the awful food and server. Next time we will happily eat Chick Fil A at Fiddler's Green!
Needed a quiet place with excellent food to prep for a business meeting with my President as well as the Founder/CEO of my company. The service was outstanding and everyone RAVED about their food. The brussel sprouts were amazing and so was the pork chop from what I heard. I had the halibut (they receive and serve within 24 hours of being caught) and it was PERFECT. Couldn't have been more pleased with the meal!
Best Sunday Brunch Deal in Denver. $14 for a wonderful all-you-can eat brunch including French Bakery croissants, good bagels, lots of fresh fruit including mangoes, strawberries, and blackberries and a great omelet and waffle station. Service is very good and parking is easy and free.
Great food -- we had apps (fried Brussels sprouts and the shrimp & grits), chicken confit main, lamb shank main, and the key lime cheesecake dessert. Everything was very good to excellent. Lamb was a touch dry, but had a sauce and yummy couscous. We would order any of these on a return visit. Quiet place -- great for conversations. I am surprised more people haven't started coming here.
We went for MOther's Day brunch; didn't know it was a buffet when we made the reservation, so we were a little concerned when we arrived. We should have been - it was excellent. They had crab legs and peel-and-eat shrimp, prime rib, many salads and casseroles. They also had breakfast items, including an omelet and waffle bar. Great waitstaff, bottomless mimosas - the moms left very happy.
It was very good, esp. breakfast, the prime rib, salads, cheeses and sides. There were some annoyances, like when we went to the omelet/waffle bar, they said they were closed. Our reservation was at 12:30 pm, so it should have still been open. Another customer insisted they re-open, so they made he and I waffles, and even though it took a really long time, like over a half hour, they were undercooked and doughy, so we only had a bite. I also was so looking forward to the King Crab legs they advertised on their website. The sign on them said “King Snow Crab Legs,” which doesn’t make any sense - they weren't King, they were Snow. Then the dessert bar was almost completely empty when we got there. I asked if they could bring more out, but they said they were out of everything. They obviously didn't make enough. I've had dinners there before and they were excellent, but this brunch was not up to par.
Overall the experience was positive. Our reservation was for around noon and the desserts were pretty well depleted when we were ready for them. The selection was pretty god but certain items such as cocktail sauce for the seafood and bacon ran out and were not replaced or at least not replaced timely.
I have to give it to Zink on one thing .... they were sincerely trying hard. There were many staff on hand and all were kind and polite. There were so many in fact, that they were literally tripping over each other but our water glasses were perpetually empty. The food was straight off the sysco truck - soggy crab legs, mushy shrimp, clumpy bland gnocchi were the worst of it while the prime rib and breakfast items were well prepared and although pretty standard hotel fare - were good enough. At $46 per person - which is comparable to other Mother's Day Brunches in town we've been to - I expected the price to include a mimosa for moms and excellent, chef inspired/ well prepared buffet offerings as we have experienced at other buffet brunches. The items outside of the breakfast items & the prime rib were mostly inedible and the desserts were boxed thaw and serve miniatures with a chocolate fountain. We would have done just as well at a local breakfast stop for 1/3 of the price. Perhaps Zink should stick to hotel food service to it's guests. It was disappointing and I really hoped for a better experience for myself and my mom on mother's day.
We will go back to The Inverness or Pappadeux in the future.
