The Zinfandel Grille is a popular neighborhood restaurant on Fair Oaks Blvd. The food is excellent and the ambience satisfactory.

Our server Joe was awesome, the food was delicious, and look forward to going back! Highly recommend the Halibut!

We were seated right next to a jazz combo. It was hard to hear and would have preferred a table away from the music.

Everything was great but that orzo type salad served with the halibut special. It was cold on a hot plate, boo. It had no basis in taste, flavors were everywhere and did not meld. Throw it out.

Everything was great! It always is. Never had a bad meal.

I hate writing this review because I have had many excellent meals at Zinfandel Grille. Zinfandel has earned a great reputation for holiday meals, but this Easter buffet did not qualify. I have eaten holiday meals there before that were excellent but they were wait service of menu, not buffet. I think buffets are tricky and Zinfandel has limited space for a buffet. This particular buffet was not as good as their regular menu or other holiday meals. As stated at the beginning of this review, I hate writing it because Zinfandel Grille is a great restaurant.

We were getting our car detailed right down the street from Zinfandel and wanted brunch. They seated us right away. the food was plentiful and good. Service was excellent.

We have been here for dinner and it was great. But for Easter brunch it was not the same. When our party of 6 arrived, we were taken to the back room in a kind of overflow room and were asked to sit at a table of 12 with another group. I made the reservations months before and there were plenty of tables out in the main area so not sure what the deal was. When I asked to be seated in the main area, the hostess obliged but did not seem happy about it. The food was OK, but not great. Our server, however was excellent and saved the experience. I would recommend this restaurant for dinner, but not for brunch.

Waiter went above and beyond to provide excellent service for us and our niece. Will definitely go back

A well drink and a glass of house cabernet cost $20 (with a tip). The special of shrimp and sausage and pasta was supposed to be lightly cajun spiced. It was heavily cajun spiced. I tried to eat healthy with the special grilled halibut but it was on a deep fried potato hash brown patty, which I had to leave (though I tried it and it was good; but deep fried? ) I accidentally left my mastercard in the bill folder and they ran out and caught us in the parking lot, so they were great for service and being nice and going the extra mile.. We couldn't hear each other talk so it was very loud, and I don't know what you can do about that. It was 6pm on Easter Saturday. The creme brulee was fantastic.

Always a good place for friends to get together and have great food with great conversation. Did find it odd that my friend could not get the same substitutes as she has done in the past. She has strict diet restrictions.

I usually go to Zinfandel Grille for business lunches and a couple times for special occasions. Consistent good food - good service.

It was my first visit, and I was impressed. My meal of Mustard Chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach was a delight. The service was friendly and attentive. 5 stars!

Music was excellent. Server was excellent. The place had a lot of energy Saturday night.

I ordered the scallop dinner but substituted the smoked salmon mashed potatoes with their cheesy polenta and the dish was delicious!

Kobe steak was good as it was our 1st try. Service not as good for a fine dining. Checked in on time and they found my name on their reservation list that we are celebrating birthday. A couple came in 5 mins after us and got seated before we did. Strange priority welcoming for customers. I ask what’s being offered for birthday. The waiter and waitress both said a scoop of ice cream and I said cool. Not always an ice cream person but we will try since it’s our first time and it was a complimentary. Then when I show my $15 off coupon for signing up on their website, they came back and told me that they can’t give the free scoop of ice cream even though it was a birthday celebration. Must be their crazy policy to remove the complimentary scoop of ice cream. It was just a vanilla which I wonder how much will it damage their revenue versus a great service to a first timer celebrating their spouse birthday. I will have to share this service experience with friends and families to not expect that their complimentary dish will always be honored. Wasn’t impressed and quite uncomfortable to step back there again.

The fare seemed a little over the top, but was tasty. Their prices for a simple salad or just about anything else, is over priced for what you get. Our Server was excellent in every way, attentive and yet, he was not 'hovering'.

Zinfandel Grill is a neighborhood gem. The menu doesn’t change much, and for good reason. However, the specials are hit or miss - Either spectacular or blah. The same can be said for the service - it is either magnificent or just okay. I say this because while our servers are always polite, there isn’t always consistency — some servers will make sure your glass of water is never empty, and pack your leftover food (a must at a restaurant of this caliber, in my opinion), and other times (like on our last visit), we had to request water and the waiter offered to bring us containers when we asked for our food to be packed up for us.

We eat at the Z grille at least monthly. This was our worst experience- it was way too noisy and with live music it was unbearable. And the service was unacceptable.
And like I said we go to the Z grill frequently so we have had many great experiences. I won't go there on a Saturday night again. They need to hire more staff for Saturdays and they need to find ways to reduce the noise. thanks

Food and service are consistently very good.....dine here frequently. They are always ready for us at our reservation time.

As always, service & food were excellent. Server was very helpful and attentive, but not intrusive.

The food was awesome. The server, however, was a little slow.

Food was good started to have live music when we left . Definitely worth coming back again !

Joe, our server was pleasant and very informative about the menu. Location was good with plenty of parking. Live music was a good touch. Wish the bar area is larger for people who just want to listen to the music with drinks and appetizer. We will come back.

Friday night our reservation for a booth at the front of the restaurant was honored. Braised Short Ribs and Filet were perfect! My wife & I have dined here multiple times and the food is consistently good. For a date or special event I'd recommend Zinfandel Grille

Great as always. Server Tracy was wonderful and I loved the special of house made saffron paparadel pasta with prawns. Friend loved her Chinese chicken salad which I only order here because ingredients and dressing are better than anywhere else in town.

Waiter, food, beverage and ambiance were excellent. Price was fair and good parking. Safe neighborhood. Great menu.

Our wine arrived after our dinner, 10-15 minutes later. I asked waitress for a take home box, it never came, my leftover was gone.
