Another great experience, my order was incorrect but they got my correct order out quickly and comped my meal, which was very nice.

Wait staff was charming and friendly but a bit forgetful, we had to remind them on 2 occasions that they had not brought us a couple items we had ordered. But, aside from that we enjoyed our brunch at ZINC.

Didn't notice that the menu was vegetarian when we made the res, but was very pleasantly surprised when we gave into the "no meat" idea and dove into the delicious menu. We want to go back now, just to try a few other items that we thought sounded good.

We went to Zinc Cafe when we visited LA. Excellent vegetarian food. Great ambience.

This is a very cool place, with a number of different dining realms. We opted for outdoor dining since it was brunch. The ambience was wonderful, the service great, and the food outstanding. As our first foray into the Arts District, we were a little unsure of what to expect on our drive from the freeway to the restaurant, but as soon as we saw the building and terrace, we knew we were at the right place. Need to come back Bar Mateo: looked very cool, but we would have never left had we started with Bloody Marys at 11:00 AM! But we will be back!

One of those out of the way gems, lousy part of town but an oasis, very surprising to see such a vibrant place in a location like this. They even had a celebrity! Food is excellent. We ate in a quiter back bar room but looked out over the well shaded patio. A great Saturday brunch!

Food was excellent, as was the atmosphere - but our waitress seemed more interested in cleaning the table and moving us along (when we could get her attention) - even though we were there for less than an hour and the restaurant was not full - she lost out on a bigger food and drink order - as well as tip.

Fantastic veggie food in downtown LA. I had a delicious Thai salad. The drinks were fab. And the service was strong. This also a great place for pets on the patio. And great for brunch. Go go go.

Wonderful vegetarian restaurant with extensive indoor and patio seating areas; lots of light and very smart, clean decor. Full bar. All the dishes were uncommonly tasty, well-seasoned and artfully presented. All staff are very capable and friendly, and the owner came by the chat for awhile, which was very nice. A real find in the Downtown East Arts District.

I have had brunch, lunch and dinner at Zinc and all three meals were within a two week period because I loved the food so much! It's fantastic that there are so many choices, especially as a veggie used to fewer choices and not great food. Zinc is excellent! Brunch was good but too crowded. Lunch was amazing--a cornicopia of tastes in a multitude of salad choices. My favorite was dinner. Olives and almonds in a tasty rosemary oil, artichokes with a zesty sauce, tostadas with fresh veggies and pizza with veggie sausage and crunchy (I forgot the name of the I have had brunch, lunch and dinner at Zinc and all three Experiences were all within a two week period because I loved the food so much! A cornicopia of dozens of tasty, hot and cold salads. Dinner was my favorite. We had tostadas with fresh veggies and spicy pizza with veggie sausage and a crunchy veggie whose name escapes me at the moment (senior moment:). Good wine and really great outdoor patio in the middle of the restaurant. How great to have delicious food and a quiet and peaceful place to talk and share-- no TVs and no blasting music-- just blissful food and conversation!

I'm a strict non-vegetarian and I love Zinc! The burger is better than the real thing.

We were a group of 8 for Easter brunch / breakfast. Loved the location of this place as well as the feel and design of it. Food was good (vegetarian!). Service... not so good. They were not busy and didn't seem understaffed but it took asking to get service and more asking to get more service.

They need to work on their service if they want people give them 5 stars and /or return.
