About Zinc Bistro
A New York Style Parisian Bistro. A 4000 sq, foot restaurant that is designed with contemporary sensibilities, yet returns the nostalgic ambiance of an authentic Parisian bistro. Round marble bistro tables and wicker chairs spill out onto the sidewalk, offering a kind of people watching one might indulge in, along Boulevard Saint-Germain. Zinc Bistro also offer a romantic garden patio secluded deep in the restaurant, lit by candles during the evening, creating an unforgettable ambiance, or a relaxing atmosphere near our fountain in the afternoon. The oyster bar stands at the end of the 25 foot zinc bar, serving fruit de mer platters, as well as all of the accoutrements. We bring in shellfish daily, offering the freshest oysters, clams, mussels, and lobster in the desert.

Zinc Bistro Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant was very crowded and noisy. I couldn't hear the hostess ask my name. We were seated in a courtyard area (our favorite location), but I felt squeezed into our table. There were 2 large, noisy tables next to us. It took awhile to get waited on and we did not get our entrees for an hour after the order was taken. The waiter was very pleasant and not to be blamed for anything. It just seemed there were too many diners for the restaurant to handle. The noise level and some of the crowded feeling was part of the nature of the restaurant. This was a favorite restaurant of ours, but it shall be placed in the "don't rush back" category for awhile.
I love Zinc for lunch. My girlfriends meet there very often for lunch. The salad with Italian salami was recommended by our waitress. I opted for it with chicken and my girlfriend had it with the salami. It was so unimpressive. Basically just lettuce, the avocado was practically nonexistent. The salami tasteless. I've never been so disappointed in a meal like this and at $14.
We will certainly give Zinc another try as we love the parmesan fries, and the ambience. We should have ordered something else.
A very nice experience in all aspects. The cuisine was excellent. We enjoyed the set dinner with onion soup, chateaubriand, and chocolate Soufle with chocolate / Grand Mariner sauce. We were seated at a Patio Table which was comfortable and great fro people watching and conversation. Our server was good, but seemed a bit distracted at times. It is located within the Kierland Shopping complex allowing for great shopping and strolling before and after dinner.
We waited over 20 minutes for a drink. Our drinks were empty and no one asked us if we wanted another for a long time after. Our waters were consistently low. We ordered muscles and asked for the bread toasted and we got the bread probably 20 minutes before the muscles, which was strange. The place didn't seem so incredibly busy that we couldn't get our drinks in a more reasonable amount of time and better overall service. I don't mind waiting a long time for food but of course one wants a drink while they wait. Overall the service was not good at all.
great place for a meet up with friends or just a date night. For date night make sure you sit outside and enjoy the ambience and atmosphere of the area. My wife and I order a carafe of wine, the meat and cheese plate and enjoy each others company and the local scene
I went to this restaurant based on reviews which were good. My husband and I both had the New York strip. The worst steak I have ever had. There was so much fat on it that I could hardly eat it. My husband felt the same way. I could have sent it back but I just wanted to leave because there was a really loud and obnoxious woman at a table near by that also made the evening not enjoyable. I would have said something but she was making it very clear that she is a regular at the restaurant. On a positive the server was very good and my mother in law had the sea bass which she really enjoyed. I felt ripped off on the $40 steak. I don't mind paying but at least buy better quality meats. I will not be back.
The food preparation has been consistently good. Three diners in our party of 4 had the halibut which was very tasty although a bit overdone. The staff is very accomodating. We had requested seating in the garden when the reservation was made 2 weeks in advance but upon arrival, we were told a large party was going to be seated in the garden. After being seated indoors, a staff person offered to seat our party in the garden.
