The worst waiter in the world second time we had him we r Done!!!
My first experience at Zin Bistro was great! The food was tasty, service was friendly and the view is the cherry on top. I’ll be back again soon.
I was very disappointed in this restaurant. The tables were all crowded together, against the recommendations of the health departments and the CDC, and though the staff wore masks, many of them were wearing them below their noise... rendering them useless. Also, I have some dietary restrictions and the waiter that served us was terribly rude about it, dismissing my question about accommodations. Service was inattentive and dismissive.
Though the setting is beautiful next to the lake, the restaurant was encased in a covered patio and blinds to shield out the setting sun.
Because of my dietary restrictions, I ordered lamb chops, well done, but they were medium at best and they were bland. The French fries were very good, crispy and well fried. My husband however ordered pasta bolognese and the corn soup, and he raved about both items.
In addition, there is no noise abatement, so the place was loud and uncomfortable. I had to shout to talk to my husband across the table.
I would only recommend this to a friend with some caveats. Maybe when the pandemic has disappeared, only if they like to eat in a loud setting... and don't expect the waiters to be attentive or to make suggestions for accommodations.
First time here. Will be going back very soon — great ambience and food. Server was warm and thoughtful. Great for everyday or special occasions
It was our first time eating here. The food was delicious , service was so so….. :(
worst service of all time , please dont go here , ruined my date
View us great! Food was expensive and not with the money.
Amazing food. It was super busy and the servers were working hard. BUT the music (which was very good) was overwhelming and SOOOO loud you had to shout over it. It has been like this before. Please turn it way down so the night can be perfect.
We dined here last night, June 5th, to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We were a party of (8). My boyfriend had been wanting to try this place out for a long time and was excited to finally be dining there. View was beautiful as we were seated out on the patio.
Service here was terrible. After we were seated, we waited about 25 min before one of the bussers came over and filled our water glasses and dropped off some pesto and bread. 10 minutes later our waitress finally came over to take our drink orders, not apologetic for the wait at all. We waited another 20 minutes until all of our drinks came. Another waitress came by later, didn't introduce herself nor did our other waitress let us know that someone was taking over or helping her. She took our order and I let her know that we would be splitting 2 checks. They only split a maximum of 3 checks here - which is fine.
Food came and was delicious and everyone was pleased with what they got. However, service was not up to par. Our waitresses disappeared for a minimum of 30 minutes at a time - did not check on us often. Our party are heavy drinkers, our bill would have been a lot higher than it was if they had just checked on us more frequently. I understand they were busy but this was a large party and we apparently had 2 waitresses - that didn't seem to matter though.
When we finally got our check it was not split. The waitress hadn't communicated to the other that we were splitting checks so that was a whole other frustrating inconvenience. When we asked her to fix it - it was another 30 minute wait and then she had it wrong again so she had to go back and fix it again.
Overall, food was great but service was not. Waitresses didn't look like they wanted to be there and they dropped the ball big time. I had put a note in my reservation that it was my boyfriend's birthday and there was no mention of it nor did the waitresses ask if we were celebrating a special occasion.
All 3 in our party had outstanding food. The ahi rice cakes were a wonderful shared appetizer. My diver scallops and mushroom risotto were superb. Our waitress was not very warm, but her service was fine. We sat on the patio at sunset, which was lovely, but the live band was much too loud to hold any conversations while they were playing. The food was the best thing about the evening.
Always has great view and the tables are spaced very nicely to enjoy the view. Was a little strange this time when the server mentioned a time limit on the table when we had an hour left ? Felt like she was trying to make a point and it was right in the middle of a business discussion. We ordered appetizers and drinks and it made us think she was annoyed we didn’t order enough? Anyway definitely will be back because the food is good and the view is exceptional not to mention the music was a great addition!
Live music was too loud and could not enjoy a conversation with my family. Food was ok. Service for the price point was lower than expected
Great time with a great view
It was fine . Food was decent .
Food was pretty low quality for the price
This place needs serious management review, there is no manager on site, the waiter is rude and does not care about any issues we had. One of our friends did not get her food until 20 minutes after other food arrived. when it finally came, we told the waiter what happened, he said the food went to another table by mistake, this was his response.
it is busy what do you want me to do?
Not a good service, we will not be back
We really enjoyed the food and the ambianc. And the view is stunning.
Although I requested outside patio when I made my reservation, they were unable to accommodate. Luckily, the host was finally able to come up with an inside table right next to the open patio doors. Service was good, food was good, restaurant was really crowded. Trying to get back to some sense of normal made this a bit uncomfortable. I'd probably avoid going on a weekend, at least for now.
Food was not good, server was not friendly, band was not good. Too pricy for the qualify and quantity of the food. I don’t recommend this restaurant.
Overall pretty good experience. We liked the Friday night singer and the fire pit. A bit overpriced for what the food was, entrees were better than appetizers. Drinks were hit or miss. Overall, good vibes by the water but food and drinks need quality control.
Had surf and turf
Loved the lobster, however the steak was very tough and the veggies weren’t my favorite.
Very beautiful place! Great food and service. Highly recommend.
Honestly an amazing restaurant, the food was so good! The staff was very friendly as well. The scenery of the lake was beyond beautiful and calming. Worthwhile to come here, would highly recommend!!
Always a lovely experience at Zin Bistro. You cannot beat the view!
Terrible food and service! ALl of the dishes had the same soggy sauce and peppers. The waitress ignored us, the artichoke leaves were on the table all night without being cleaned.
Everything was great, but it got pretty chilly outside, they need more heaters. We'd asked for an indoors table and been told we'd get one, but there were none reserved for us so we were seated outside. Chilly.
The view was beautiful and the service was excellent.
The food wasn’t very warm. I expected a tastier sauce with the fish.
The pecan pie was more like a cake.
For the price I expected a higher quality of food. The short ribs were good, not great.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere! Will be coming back and our waitress was a doll! Thanks!
Always have a fantastic time at Zin. Everyone is always so nice and the food is excellent.
Great place to go. Cool vibe. Great energy, food, and service.
As usual, the food at Zin Bistro was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice view of the lake. When it got a little chilly, the wait staff turned on the heaters and it was perfect. We all felt very comfortable and safe and we were so happy to be eating out after the last year of Covid isolation.
Great outdoor location for lunch or dinner! Will definitely be back.
First time there and had a lovely dinner with my family. The setting was beautiful too. I highly recommend it.
Staff not interactive.
Got order wrong.
Usually, this place has a great service, but yesterday I was very disappointed, cause waiter was not attentive at all, even though place was not crowded at all (to find an excuse that he was waiting on different people). We had to ask for water refill, we had to ask for waiter to come and take our orders after 30 mins of waiting. We had to ask for crackers/bread for soup. Coffee was brought without milk and sugar.
You guys need to re-train this waiter. My husband got so upset that he didn’t want to tip him at all, but I convinced him to tip him at least a little over 10%, of which half was deserved by your bus boy
It’s not my first time visiting your restaurant, and I love it, but yesterday waiter was off.
Had lunch here on a lazy Sunday. Have dined here numerous times. For good views of the lake and good food, this restaurant is recommended. Service is still not up to par, like all other restaurants since COVID. I am still looking forward to a time when the restaurant services are restored to their pre-COVID standards.
Poor service, sat at the bar. Asked for wine and took him a while. Ordered food which was cold. Tried to order more food and had to flag down the bartender. Got the artichoke and asked the runner what sauces they were and he straight up told me I dont know. Which is fine but then he left and I figured he was going to find out and never returned. Never got to eat what I ordered because I was too disgusted with service, food and everything in between. I saw a server in the side station eating a salad near clean glassware and cups, another one on the floor on her phone and saying her nose ring is coming out so doubt she washed her hands after putting it back in and the bartender with his mask on his chin. It was absolutely horrible. I give grace and understand it's extremely tough for restaurants now. I work in one. So I know and it was honestly the worst I have seen a restaurant in so many aspects in a long time. If service was ruled out the health and cleanliness alone after what I witnessed would give it the rating I gave it. I couldn't get out fast enough ans gave them the benefit of the doubt but only exposed more. Im so sorry to write this but I was so excited to visit and relax and enjoy great food and I don't want anyone else to make my mistake. I'm sorry but I will never recommend or go again. It was that bad
Good food and service. Beautiful setting. Some of the food just seemed heavy. We do enjoy it though. Pricey.
I made a reservation over a week in advance and called twice to confirm it was a very special birthday and needed a nice table as near the rail. They put us at a table right by the kitchen door and it was not a great experience at all.
The waiter was essentially non-existent, we were inside where the noise level was quite high and our food was laden with butter and grease. Very disappointing… we’ve been there a dozen times and I’d say that this was the worst as far as the food experience goes which makes me think they switched chefs lately? We ordered the chicken cordon bleu and it was like eating a grease ball with a tub of butter on top. We had the dish last year and it was prepared perfectly (nice and thin, not overly fried, just the right amount of sauce and not too heavy). Even my gf’s bok choy was laden with oil and butter…. Bok choy should be refreshing especially when accompanying a heavier dish and unfortunately that wasn’t the experience.
