Loved the Adult Mac & Cheese
We brought our fur baby and ate on the patio it was excellent
Nicole, the very stylish hostess, is so helpful and attentive. She always makes my dinner guests feel special.
Hanger steak was excellent, service prompt, nice setting outside
Great brunch spot. Delicious food, bottomless mimosas and great service. Dominick is a gem!
Zin was as wonderful as ever. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Whenever we’re in town it’s our favorite restaurant to visit.
Always a great meal prepared and served by some great staff!!
Fantastic meal. Hangar steak, olives, lightly battered shrimp, best cheesecake ever, and delicious drinks. Totally yummy.
Good food prepared just the way I asked. Attentive wait staff. Sat outside and enjoyed the view. Had rack of lamb. Yum!
Overpriced , rushed service, bland food
Wine list very impressive, food average.Service mediocre ,never saw our server from when he took our order until after our meal,no personality didn't contribute to enjoyment,
avoid Thursday nights-street market destroys any chance of private dining-conversation
We all enjoyed our selections and the service was great. It was noisy the night we dined because of the Street Fair on the street. We knew that when we made the reservation.
Chicken schnitzel was amazing. Staff are excellent.
Excellent...good food...great staff.....good outdoor site to watch people during Street Fest
Very friendly and efficient staff. Big portions of disappointingly gloppy food. Had been there years ago with fond food memories - unfortunately things have changed.
Two dogs at the table next to us really affected the quality of our experience. PLEASE DONT ALLOW PETS
Big menu great quality tasting food. Love it
We frequented this restaurant after reading some favorable reviews. We were seated right away and had a waiter who was very attentive and fun! The food was good, and I was able to get my vegetarian meal with a couple of different choices. The dessert was creative and the overall scene was worthy of a posive review. We will return.
Lovely hostess, waiter was polite and attentive. Food great and comfortable outdoors
Zin is one of our favorite restaurants in Palm Springs! The food is delicious, the service is amazing and the ambience and location is perfect!
Highest recommendation possible! Go!
Have the Bistro Bites and truffle mushroom soup!
Too loud for a romantic date but fun nonetheless.
Perfect evening and excellent food.
We picked Zin for our last vacation night in Palm Springs. We scored a table with great view of the Thursday Street fair. From prior experience we knew they have an award winning wine selection. They also offer a hard to find seafood entree, Sand Dabs, which is a flavorful fish that we can’t get enough of. I had rack of lamb, which was timely for the coming Easter weekend. The star of the show, though, was the 2004 Viader Cabernet Franc, fairly priced, and in perfect condition. Zin’s reputation for their wine is illustrated by finding wines at their ideal drinking age. We recommend Zin to foodies who appreciate great wines at fair prices, served alongside excellent food in a beautifully appointed dining room.
We enjoyed our dinner here. The butter lettuce salad was delicious as a starter but quite large. Both entrees , macadamia nut crusted chicken and flap steak were served hot and nicely garnished. Service was friendly and prompt and one unexpected goof by a busboy was well handled. We will go back
Very enjoyable lunch. 3 of us, 2 had salads, 1 a sandwich. Everything was fresh, well prepared & in appropriately sized portions. Server was pleasant & professional. All were pleased & happy.
Many menu options adequately priced. Food came piping hot. Server was courteous and attentive. Would definitely return.
Unfortunately we were seated right next to the bar and therefore the overflow of people from the bar into our table became annoying as the meal progressed. Although the restaurant features the name Zin, I think they take that a little too far, since it is a restaurant. When we asked the waiter if they had any non-alcoholic drinks that they make or feature, he looked at us funny and said something like “ well no I mean the bar kind of focuses on wine you know, no blender, so no”. I had to ask again if they had any non alcoholic drinks other than water to which he spouted something about some juices and Sprite or such. So we all drank water. The shrimp appetizer was bland and the fried olives were burnt. The rest of the food we ordered just seemed overpriced and Ho hum. The fried chicken dish was two small thighs that had very little meat and were very greasy. The cheesecake and gluten free chocolate cake were divine though. All of the staff pitched in to provide service to us, but the waiter seemed to be stretched thin taking orders from all tables and rarely checked back in with us.
The staff was very accommodating. The food was very good and the selections were numerous.
We have been to Zin Restaurant many times but NEVER AGAIN! We went for an anniversary meal and this experience totally ruined our anniversary and evening .
We ordered the market price Oysters on the Half Shell, which were priced at $38 on the half shell for a dozen. When they arrived they were presented in a soup bowl over ice with condiments, which was very poor presentation. Each oyster shell was SMALLER than a teaspoon and the oysters inside were less than half a teaspoon in size. We informed our waitress we have oysters all time and everywhere we travel and these were the smallest we had ever seen anywhere, we informed her these were not Kumamoto oysters or any other special type of oyster. These were substandard, fishy tasting and disgracefully small. Our waitress went and addressed the concerns with the owner and then she returned only to tell us that's what is in season right now. Minutes later the hostess noticed we were distressed and we also explained to her that this was not acceptable oysters for the price. She too returned after discussing the issue with the owner, only to inform us that the owners says these type of oyster are small but she would try and do something on our bill. We were NOT offered anything as a replacement. They were a complete rip-off for the money.
When the bill came at the end of the meal, $3 had been removed from the price of the oysters. This was a VERY overpriced and very disappointing meal. We tried calling the owner Mindy Reed later and even called her at her other restaurant she owns but we had to leave her a message for her to call us back, but she never returned our calls.
The owner of this restaurant should be ASHAMED OF HERSELF for what she served us and how she has treated us. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS RESTAURANT THE OWNER DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER PATRONS AND CUSTOMERS, OR THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD SHE SERVES!
Busy evening but didn't feel rushed with our early evening table. The food was great all 5 of us agreed, I especially enjoyed the Sand Dabs, the sauce was perfect.
Zin used to be my favorite restaurant. About a year ago I stopped going because the quality of the food had gone down. Well, it's back at the head of the class. You must have hired a new chef because the food is superb. I especially like the mussels and frites (especially since they are authentic French frites...thin...not like the Belgium frites that everyone serves. And at lunch, the hamburgers cannot be beat. And everyone at my table was raving about his/her meal. Also, the prix fix dinner cannot be beat.
The service was very good and responsive. The fish special this day was just "ok". Enjoyed our Birthday lunch and the out door ambiance.
Based on the menu on open table, I made a reservation. However, the real menu in the restaurant is not close to what is quoted on open table. It's almost double. While the food was good, it was not worth the price. Most restaurants will substitute a veggie, if you don't want potatoes or rice.
Great, as always. Fried chicken was very tasty and the mussels with wine/celery sauce were delicious.
Food value is inflated: average menu, less-than-average food and high prices - perhaps because of their high traffic Palm Canyon location. Service was very good however! The physical dining room is tired and deteriorating- borderline grubby. Will not recommend or return.
I love Zin Bistro. HOWEVER, twice in two weeks I have had to wait nearly an hour to be seated...even though I HAVE RESERVATIONS! The hostess has a bad habit of seating guests without reservations and then thrilling them that they have to be out within an hour. Hey!
Get another hostess!!!!
Everything was fine except my chicken. It tasted like it had come out of the freezer. It was tough and stringy. The waiter gave us a discount off the bill. We have dined there many times before and I was really looking forward to my meal. My dining companion’s port was excellent.
The wait and kitchen staff were especially accommodating to one of our party that had a garlic allergy; actually I've not experienced such great attention to tailoring the menu selections to the special dietary needs. Absolutely fabulous service.
Excellent. Ehren Was a fantastic waiter. Very knowledgeable about the menu and very personable and polite and professional. The best waiters we’ve had in Palm Springs.
Seated on the patio with our party of six. Good menu with lots of choices and all our dietary needs more than met. Service fell off when our first server left for the evening and was replaced by a complacent and disinterested waiter. Otherwise a fun night and will return again soon.
