My sparkling wine was flat. Bartender agreed when waitress alert him/her, and a new bottle was opened. I ordered Shrimp Fra Diablo, but was served Linguine with red clam sauce. The order was eventually corrected. We made reservations to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, so this was a disappointing experience.

Victoria is the best server. She doesn't miss a beat. The salmon with asparagus and risotto was divine. Chicken marsala, chicken parm and the appetizers were enjoyed also.

The restaurant was 1/2 full at 7pm---but was super noisy with a bunch of obnoxious drunks at only 7pm. We could not hear one another 3' across the table in a booth. The waitress did the best she could and did a good job. The food was awful--salty, greasy, and the pasta was clumped in a lump.

Food was not good borderline worst I’ve ever tasted. Who serves chicken parm without sauce on top? Sauce was on the bottom of the dish and the chicken wasn’t breaded in breadcrumbs. Pizza was burnt along the crust and had burnt particles all along the bottom of the dough. Extremely noisy can’t enjoy a date without people screaming in your ears every direction. Hostess sat us without a drink menu and took 5 minutes to get one. One server stopped to ask if we’ve been helped since we were sitting there for 10 minutes we said no and she said ok let me find someone instead of helping us herself. I had to repeatedly ask for a new drink and was never offered one. Was never even asked how our meal was. I will never return.

The shrimp marina was not good-the shrimp smelled very fishie so were left on the plate. The server did not ask why. The eggplant parm was outstanding.

Nice family dinner for Mother’s Day. The food was good—especially the calamari. One drawback—It was so noisy we could not carry on a conversation with anyone other than the person immediately next to us.

Overall not that great except the goat cheese appetizer... I hate to review this restaurant so low because I was genuinely very excited to eat here especially for Mother's Day but I do not know what all the talk was about... The service was so so, our server wasn't personal, She didn't give much personality or anything then a few sentences. She was just pretty. She also gave us dirty looks when asking for togo boxes. The hostess also weren't very welcoming as they should be except one hostess/busser who was extremely helpful and sweet.. The food was so under seasoned and bland. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and the canned Alfredo sauce from raggu tasted better... barely could taste any fresh Parmesan, garlic or even salt and pepper.... The dish looks good and looks like it's garnished well but it tasted otherwise. The appetizer was really good and I would definitely go back just for the appetizer though. Overall I wish my experience was better. Hopefully with this review they will make changes & train their employees better.

The family visited Virginia Beach to celebrate my son & daughter in laws wedding anniversary & moms masters graduation. Italian is our favorite do we tried Zia Maria’s. The food was amazing, server was fun & personable, and the atmosphere was so welcoming. Highly recommend!!

Our evening was very enjoyable overall. The food was very good and proper portion sizes. As we haven't been there in a while, we did some menu checking before we went. If cost matters to you, we searched three different ways and came up with three different prices for almost everything. The menu linked to our OpenTable email showed one price for an item. Zia Marie's web site showed another, and the big board at the restaurant showed yet another. That one was the highest, but the others haven't been updated to match. Otherwise, service, food, drinks, where all very nice.

Zia Marie has a good vibe, energetic, and along with that know that the noise level can get high. The shrimp alla vodka was amazing, all the portions are generous. Our food was served quickly, and bread straight from the oven kept us happy until our entrees came. Highly recommend.

We have been to this location several times, and to their original occasion a couple of times, and the food is always delicious. They are a very busy restaurant so it would be good to make a reservation during peak dinner hours on weekends. There is sometimes a wait for service and to receive food. However, when we receive the food it is so worth the wait. One time we asked for extra bread, and despite the several times she came to check on us our table we never did receive it and I didn’t want to bother her asking again. It wasn’t busy as they were closing in an hour but that seemed to be the focus… closing. So then the last time we went, we had to ask for bread. Maybe it was close to closing as well. Our favorite dishes include shrimp, Olivet, car, fried mozzarella, Caesar salad, tiramisu, cannoli, caprice, he salad, and chicken Alfredo. They are definitely the best Italian restaurant in this area.
