Zephyr Grill and Bar Ratings and Reviews
We mixed up our reservation so when we arrived at the Brentwood restaurant the staff was very gracious and found us a table despite being very busy. Our wait person was attentive and friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. The Tamayo Pinot noir we paired with our meals (chicken cordon blue and pork tenderloin) was excellent. We really love having Zephyr in our small town of Brentwood. We would but no longer need to drive to Livermore:-)
This is my "go to" restaurant when I go to Livermore. I took a friend there for dinner. It was her first visit and she seemed very pleased and impressed with everything.
I could have made reservations at a few other restaurants but In my opinion, Zephyr provides the best service, menu and ambience in downtown.
The staff was rude - the waitress brought 2 wrong meals and acted like it was our fault. The lighting had been flickering from the day before and had not been fixed. The wine server just opened it and put it on the table without asking if we would taste. The food was mediocre at best. The wild salmon I ordered was farm raised, not wild and was overcooked. Very disappointing meal and I will not return.
Service good ,but dinner slow in coming and my grilled med rare lamb chops tough.
I did mention it to the waitress, and she said I should have said something, she would have brought me something else. It was very busy, and didn't want to create a scene with my dining friends.
Excellent as usual. I'm so thankful to have this gem of a restaurant in Livermore. They take pride in providing an amazing experience from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave. Thank you Zephyrs for being you. It's wonderful being able to rely on your establishment for a delicious meal and superb service.
My family met there for dinner and we had a great time. Service was excellent, but not overbearing. The menu selection was excellent, a lot of choices from meat, pasta, and fish and seafood to appetizers and salads. The food was delicious, especially the lamb chops. Prices were moderate and the food was worth the price. The wine selection was also excellent, but if I had one criticism it was that I thought the wine was a little bit pricy. Of course one thing the restaurant wants to hear is that we will definitely eat there again.
The service was terrible & so was management. Waste of money. The food was pretty good but the kitchen left out several things listed in the menu descriptions & when we asked the server, they said they would get it for us & never returned. Seriously some of the worst service & overall experience in dining out.
Fairly extensive menu serving a variety of CA-cuisine foods. Braised short ribs were nicely prepared, though medallions of beef were dry and tough. Fish tacos were nice. Restaurant has a decent, not overly-sized, wine list with several harder-to-get wines from local wineries.
We enjoy going to Zephyr Grill for a family meal. The service is always great, and the food is excellent. The menu offers something for everyone, and there are frequently special menu items to choose from that vary depending upon the season. Zephyr Grill has become a favorite "go to" restaurant for our family.
Have eaten here twice but unfortunately was disappointed with my entree both times. Both times I chose a seafood option - first time sole and this time a salmon Wellington and found both times the fish to be very dry and tasteless- the accompaniments were very good but fish itself very disappointing. My husband also found his meals just " so so". For this reason I don't believe we will be returning.
Was very disappointed. I even tried to call and schedule a reservation, the host put me on hold and forgot about me twice. Got there and they wouldn't offer us the happy hour price, because their host sat us in the wrong section. Poor customer service experience and no professionalism at all.
