Zenshin Asian Restaurant at South Point Ratings and Reviews
We went here as a last minute option and were definitely not disappointed. The food was great and the service was very attentive. My only complaint is that the sashimi we ordered came out AFTER our entrees were served. It was not very busy in the restaurant but, according to the waitress, the sushi bar was backed up. I just think the kitchen was moving much faster and they need to slow down to work with the sushi chefs better.
We visited this restaurant during our last trip to Vegas. The food wasn't anything to write home about, but it was still good. Good enough for me to go there again if I was in the area. Our waitress was fantastic, and the rest of the staff was friendly as well. The customer service made up for any shortcomings this place may have.
3rd strick you are out.. We will never return.
Went for happy hour. We gave the restaurant another try. But after waiting for 15 min. for our drinks, ordered 2 appetizers only one came. The fried chicked was like the bottom of your shoe. Are server was WORSE then a kindergar. She couldn't remember what tables ordered . This restaurant should be ashamed.
We found Zenshin quite by chance last year and were so impressed with the quality of the food, preparation, presentation and the service that we made it a point to return to Zenshin on this visit to Las Vegas.
It is the best sukiyaki we have had outside of Japan,
We chose this restaurant upon the recommendation of our daughter. We brought several people along, including children to celebrate our son's birthday. We were given our own room which helped with the children. The servers were very attentive. They were excellent. The food was delicious.
They even brought a birthday dessert brownie which the children loved. We will dine there again.
Southpoint, Las Vegas is a far cry from the fresh food of Northern California where I live. I found Zenshin the closest to my particular palette and ate there on several occasions over a 3-day period. Other than the miso soup being warm, the rest of the items I ordered were delicious. They even have brown rice as a choice. I understand most people wouldn't find that appealing, but I did and appreciated it immensely. The staff was very attentive without being intrusive. I would go there again at the next event held at Southpoint.
This restaurant has incredible food quality. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very calming and the workers are quite friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is going out that way. Happy hour prices are great, making dinner at Zenshin a must.
I greatly enjoyed my dining experience. The flavors of the food were some of the best I have had. You won't regret dining here!
My wife and i decided to have a quiet dinner out while staying at South Point Hotel and Spa. And we are so glad we decided to eat at Zenshin. We had a sashimi sampler, a roll, their version of a tuna tartar (which btw is one of of not the best we have ever had). We then decided to share a braised short ribs was out of this world amazing. The meat fell off the bone, no need for a knife as you could just pull pieces with your chopsticks. I had a sake sampler and i am not sure if he was the manage but he took the time to not only check on us but explain/school me on the different sakes. Prices are more than reasonble and the freshness and quality of food was superb. Next time we are in Vegas we will eat here again...in fact we will probably have lunch there tomorrow
Great find in the South Point hotel! We had dinner and then came back for a late night snack. Found that they just started a late night happy hour! It was perfect for what we were looking for after a night on the strip. We were so hungry and tired and just wanted something to eat and drink. We each ended up having 3 drinks because their cocktails were only $6 and their draft beer was only $4. I think wine and sake were about the same price. My girlfriends were lovin it! Chili garlic eda mame...Super good! Hamachi Kama on a happy hour menu...Wow! Rolls for $6...Had to order a crunch roll and spider roll! Best deal in Vegas! We spent so much money eating out on the strip that I wish we had just come here instead. Service was right on point. The Manager was stopping by tables and talking with guests, delivering food, and helping keep tables clean. The server, Rory, was so cool and friendly! You have to ask for him. Great food! Great service! Make a Zenshin in Los Angeles and we will be there every night. See you next time we are in Vegas!
Not what I was expecting in decor The pictures from the hotel and online suggest a very different interior and ambiance. I found it to be kind of like a diner atmosphere rather than an intimate sushi spot. Was also disappointed that the sushi bar did not have chefs in front making the selections but the food was fired in the back. Or maybe I hit it at the wrong time The food was good and servers were friendly. Overall for the experience and cost it was a bit overpriced.
Went to Zenshin for dinner before New year's Eve. Service was great, not rushed and the food was excellent as was the presentation. The night before went for happy hour when we had really good cocktails and excellent 'appetizers'. very reasonable and the noise level was fine.
I enjoyed the sushi and Asian influncertain crab legs. Great extensive sushi menu with a few entrées for non sushi eaters. The only downside is the restaurant is not enclosed from the casino but they do try to make you feel as though you've escaped the smoke cloud.
We had our Holiday party here and it was FANTASTIC!
The sushi rolls were fresh and fabulous - the variety of flavors kept all in our group happy with lots of fun choices. The service was excellent as our wait staff struck that perfect balance between attentiveness and not being pushy. Emiko was very knowledgeable about the sushi choices and preparation, and the sushi chef could say nothing but "yes" for our group. It was a relaxing environment and all of us had a great time. I highly recommend Zhenshin as it has been great for lunch, dinner and now our holiday party. Congrats and keep up the great work!!!!
This was THE best place I went to eat while during my trip and I'm so mad I wasn't able to go until the last night I was there!! OMG!!! The food, the drinks and the service were out of this world!! I've told everyone I know that when in Vegas they have to go to Zenshin!!
we have been wanting to try this place for a long time and once we did, we were sorry we waited so long, the food was great, from the sushi, to the soup and even the main meal. the service was even better, they were right in top of everything and it was apparent that everyone enjoyed working there. We cant wait to return.
When I stay at South Point, Zenshin is a must go to while I am there. While not much of a Sushi person, their Braised Short Ribs and Teriyaki Chicken are just 2 of my many favorites on their menu. I really enjoy the ambiance and the servers are always friendly.
My wife and I chose to dine here for our anniversary and based on Open Table reviews along with local advertising for Best of Las Vegas, were very disappointed. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were served promptly, but unfortunately this was the high point. We both ordered the cucumber salad and shared the spicy tuna and crispy rice appetizer. The spicy tuna and crispy rice was OK, but the cucumber salad had a very "fishy" taste. I realize it's seafood, but fresh seafood (especially crab) should not taste like that. We were going to order four specialty rolls (777, dragon, rainbow, and crunch), but after the salad opted to try only the 777 as a precaution. Again, very "fishy" tasting and sent back. Would not recommend.
