Excellent food and service
Awesome food and very knowledgeable staff.
Our server was EXCELLENT. One of the best I have ever had.
The food was so yummy! Loved everything about this place. Will definitely return.
Great food, great service. Whenever we are in town we eat here. We love it!
If you have never..you NEED to..Date night dinner and were blessed to have Kathy as our server for the night..very patient and knowledge..we spent three hours at Zelo and because of Kathy..dessert and after dinner drinks..because of Kathy..all food and drink was spot on..but not as spot on as Kathy..do you see a pattern? Thank you so much for a wonderful memorable dining experience! Will be back!
Our recent Zelo experience was amazing! Great service from our friendly and helpful waiter. The food was superb! Two in our group had the chicken Parmesan and raved about it. Thank you for a wonderful evening Zelo.
Great meal, great service, very loud.
Great as always!
Excellent food... great service... good value! Definitely will dine there again!
Great food and service!!
The restaurant has very nice decorative touches, was comfortable and the food was great.
First year anniversary: food was great, server (Patrick) was very polite and timely, very nice decor and ambiance. Was a bit spendy for a dinner for two, but I know of places that would’ve been much more expensive for the same experience! All around great experience :)
Food was just decent. Size of portions were average. Service was great. Experience was worth half the price. I've eaten Italian food all over this country, and this was my least favorite. Go to Victoria's in Rochester and you'll understand why Zelo's isn't real Italian food. Don't waste your time or money going here.
Great food before a show...pork chops were fabulous. We will definitely be back
Great food and service with nice ambience and location. Tables are a little close together in some areas. Excellent choice and love eating at Zelo!
Really amazing food and a beautiful place to eat. We’ll be back to try more dishes from the menu, or we’ll get the homemade ravioli again.
Everything we had to eat at Zelo was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was beautiful and was perfect for date night. Thanks so much for a wonderful first experience, we will most definitely be back!
Our server was superb and made our evening very special. He had great recommendations and was attentive to our needs. The restaurant was very busy, but we never felt neglected. The food was excellent and perfectly prepared.
It was the day before Thanksgiving and not many people went out for dinner. We booked the table on the same day and was greeted by the hostess. Everybody was very nice and friendly, especially our server, who suggested us many popular dishes at the restaurant. Unfortunately I don’t think the food is good enough. The bread was not hot at all. It was not even warm. The calamari was delicious and so was the risotto. The scallops were a little bit cold inside and the seafood pasta was not that good. The pasta was kinda bland and the scallops in the pasta were also not tasty. Overall I think it was an ok place to dine in.
Traveling on business so, from out of town. Only issue is that the wine list needs to include vintage years. Otherwise, an A+ experience.
We were seated promptly (had reservations) at a wonderful table. Our waitperson Jessie was efficient and friendly. Jessie did not rush us and explained all of the specials and recommended a few items which we selected. Super fresh salads and of course, the bread is very good. Seafood was fresh and pasta is excellent. Would highly recommend for an intimate dinner.
Food was great, service superb. We were seated at the time of our reservation (which is a must at this place on a Saturday night). My only complaint is that it was too noisy. We had difficulty hearing each other or our waiter.
This was our 45 wedding anniversary dinner. We specifically asked for Jenn as our server. She is the greatest. The food and service could not be any better.
Excellent cocktails and wine! Food was so delicious!
Phantom of the Opera
Perfect meal!!! Everything was wonderful!!
Location was convenient, atmosphere was very nice, though noise level was moderately loud. Our food was excellent and so was the service provided by Tim. We were 20 minutes late due to a significant traffic snarl and they were still able to sit us right away.
Zelo's takes the Italian food genre and elevates it to haute cuisine -with menu options that are not typically seen in trattoria fare: grilled ahi tuna on a bed of wasabi mashpos with nice side touches, e.g. BUT - the Italian dishes are excellent: fluffy, flavorful meatballs and a lasagne bolognese to die for.
The dining room is an elegant turn-of-the century (I was told 1920s but it looks more Italianate antebellum than art deco) building that was tastefully renovated two years ago. The wait staff are attentive and helpful. Highly recommend.
First time in Minneapolis for a corporate workshop and came across Zelo online while looking for an italian restaurant to dine at. The three hostesses were welcoming and accommodating to start. I wish I could remember our servers name, she was very welcoming, pleasant and knowledgable with the menu. We went with a pizza (Half Margherita, half sausage), burrata and two specials, duck and scallops, which were very good. Would definitely return if Im ever in Minneapolis again - Although as a Toronto resident, not sure when that time will be!
Waitress did not attend to our table as much as expected
Just normal good food, nice atmosphere.
