Courteous and attentive servers and hosts
Outstanding Turkey Dinner and SAFE!!
Great Mai Tai and Billionaire Margaritas to go with lobsters at the beach
Just happy to see them back open and so busy. We look forward to going back for lunch or dinner.
Great time!
They were very accommodating. It was my mother's birthday and they went out of the way to make sure our table was in the perfect spot. Food was great. Love the fish and chips.
trio appetizer was wonderful, ceviche, tuna and unbelievable calamari
sea bass buttery
great view of the pier and waves on the patio with heaters to make it pleasant early evening
Amazing spot - it was an evening without any wind and it was cool, but not too chilly. There are heat lamps so we could sit outside, listening to the waves crashing onto the beach. Magical!
Biggest bummer is that they ran out of oysters - the main reason we went there! We had to go a couple doors down after we ate our main course, just to get some. Waiter was nice but maybe too busy for us? Kept forgetting things. Still left a good tip - I get it, I have waited tables before...
This is a favorite place for dining and taking in the view of the water with friends. Everything about this place is cool just need to consider parking as it get a bit crazy.
Always love the relaxed atmosphere!
Family enjoyed the burger & fish special!
Great view. Salads were incredibly fresh and crunchy.
It was excellent food, drinks, service and view.
Very reasonable price.
Great lobster night! Always great view.
I booked a reservation for 7pm for the special. When I arrived, I was told they were sold out and not to bother sitting down. Not in a friendly way. Waste of time.
Really good food. Super staff. Another local landmark to be proud of.
It was birthday night! Always busy but fun I had ahi salad, best ahi salad I’ve had!!!
Very nice meal! Service was wonderful. Food was delicious!
Our party of four had a delicious lunch outside. The view is stunning.
My birthday brunch January 10 Friday
It was great!
It is nice to be by the beach. The venue feels more like a deli than a restaurant. We sat outside. There was 3 of us and we were seated at two adjacent tables with a heat lamp and an umbrella between the two tables which was little annoying. It is a very busy, touristy setting with lots of dogs, kids crying and hustle and bustle, but it's in the heart of Capitola, so what can you expect? Foodwise, I really enjoyed their french fries! The hamburger patty on my blue cheese hamburger was on the thin/bland side. The clam chowder soup was good.
Eat outside on the deck... it’s a great Place for brunch .. food is solid and plentiful .. servers are really great ..
Excellent service and food. It was very busy, but food and drink were served promptly.
Celebrated my son’s birthday & Christmas Eve with the family! It was a perfect place for my family!
It was a lovey day to be seated outside on the patio during December. The staff was attentive and waited on us immediately. Started us off with their fabulous Bloody Mary, which I would recommend. The menu had options that most eaters would be please with and be able to enjoy. The portions were more than enough to share for small eaters or for the bigger eaters, they would be full. Th upon food was hot upon arrival and the waiter was swift in having the condiments available for us.
I would definitely go again and again.
I was so grateful that this restaurant was open on Thanksgiving. They accidentally cancelled my reservation but I noticed it and was able to make a reservation again.
We got there 5 min before the reserved time. The restaurant was packed and we had to wait for like 20 min.
The foods were ok. I ordered the Thanksgiving special dinner and the turkey was very juicy and very tasty. The foods the rest of my family ordered were good too but overpriced. But I wouldn’t complain about it because of the location and of the fact that it was open on Thanksgiving!!
I didn’t get his name but our server was really nice. My husband is lactose intolerant and asked not to use butter in his dish. The server went to the kitchen and talked the chef. I really appreciated how far he went to make sure everything would be the way he liked it to be (although he forgot dinner rolls and cranberry sauce for my order...)
The restaurant is located right by the beach and I would love to come back here for a brunch next time.
Our favorite place to go to when we are in Capitola. Thanksgiving Dinner was great, and we will be back next year. Zelda’s also has a great breakfast menu (which is when we usually come), it’s always great to look out at the beach and the Venetian Beach Rentals when eating. Definitely a must when you are in Capitola!
Wonderful outside next to the beach and ocean. Our waitress was awesome
The food was excellent and the view from the deck was spectacular!
A year ago while on a business trip in Monterey my wife and I drove to Capitola to Zelda's for the Lobster Tail dinner and it was great. This time my wife and I decided to stay in Capitola overnight and thought we would try Zelda's again. Went in for a drink and late lunch and just asked to see the menu and noted that the Lobster entree was gone - replaced with a whole Main Lobster Thursdays only - but there was a Crab Cake special on Friday. Since it was a Friday we thought the crab cake special would be an ok substitute for the lobster. When we arrived for dinner and placed or order after we completed our appetizer we were told that their crab cake order and not arrived and the special was not available. After having the very mediocre fish that we had for lunch we decided to try somewhere else. First impression was great. Second impression not so much. Will not be back as there are plenty of other better places in Capitola.
We were seated right away, service & food was excellent.
I wrote you a review already....I invited an 87 year old friend for a special meal ( his birthday no birthday songs, which I do not like, but some reconition...I made reservation prior...they had no knowledge of the reservation and the special occasion...why make reservation????
No special service...or good service at all...we had to wait for quit a while to order a drink when we arrived.
Yes, I will be back since I used to go to Zelda's in the 80 ties and beyond...I believe the staff has to be more attentive, I believe they where not taught at home ....just wanted to let you know....I also know your business where it is difficult getting good staff.
The servers were the most unfriendly group of people. We ate there for dinner and breakfast. Both times, service left a lot to be desired. Requests went unanswered, water glasses were empty, no one checked on us, etc. The food was quite expensive compared to other restaurants around it. At least $5 more per plate for the same food. I would skip this location and head elsewhere.
Great atmosphere and yummy food☺️ The service was great, will definitely be going back
Great venue on the beach! Food is what you expect from a beach side restaurant, yummy and satisfying. Service was a bit slow especially since there were sooooo many servers. Something in their system only certain servers do certain requests. Took forever to get a 2nd drink and for someone to take payment on our check. Other than that it was a great family lunch with a beautiful view!
Good deal on Thursday lobster specials. Drinks were good too.
Satisfied my lobster urge but disappointed in where we were seated.. had a reservation and sat us next to the men’s bathroom.. 3 little boys kept going in and out of bathroom and holding door opened.. lost my appetite.. drinks were weak.
We ordered ahi tuna as an appetizer. It was really good. We ordered the grilled seafood sandwich and mahi-mahi sandwich. They were mediocre at best. The service was just okay. Our food was served before the waters we had ordered. we asked the server when the food was served and she disappeared at that point. We had to track down the second server to get something to drink. There were two women in the men's room when I went to use the restroom and said they were there because the women's restroom was so dirty. There seem to be a lot of other restaurants that may have been a better choice.
Love Zeldas!! Had another great lobster dinner there with my 4 friends. Great value. Don’t be cheap, order a salad, drinks, or appetizers. This is how they can offer such a great deal on lobster.
Fun! Great food and great service
