RESERVATION I noted on the reservation that I was celebrating my birthday but it wasn’t acknowledged by Zehnders. This is annoying and disappointing and happens REPEATEDLY with OpenTable reservations. Why is this question asked if it’s going to be ignored? SERVERS We were in a small room which had two servers. We immediately noted that Rebecca was EXTREMELY loud. She was literally yelling when she was at a table across from us - I thought the customers must be very hard of hearing. We soon discovered that she ALWAYS YELLS! Our server, Rachel, was friendly and attentive until the end of our meal. At that time, Rebecca took over and didn’t understand what we wanted - a cup of ice and a small carry-out container of jam to take home with our bread… ATMOSPHERE Shortly after we were seated, three men came in and we could smell a VERY STRONG odor of cigarettes. Unfortunately, their REALLY STINKY coats were hung just behind our booth and we had to smell the horrible odor during our entire meal. It was NASTY! FOOD Good - The food was better than usual and it’s nice that rotisserie chicken is now an option instead of fried. The brussel sprouts, coleslaw and fresh-brewed iced tea were very good. We really like the crostini with cheese and pate (something special that the competitor across the street doesn’t offer!). Bad - The cranberry relish was overly tart. As usual, several side dishes weren’t hot. PRICES $70.35 pre-tax for two all-you-can-eat chicken dinners and two iced teas (included a $5.95 upcharge for one cup of onion soup).

It all depends on your server. Ours was not too good. No spoons for sides. No white/dark choice. Always trying to take plates. But food was excellent as always.

Danny was our server and I was impressed with his professionalism and his attention to detail. We were seated in the Tap Room which was more intimate than being seated in one of the large dining rooms. very enjoyable atmosphere.

The traditional chicken dinner did not disappoint. The number of appetizers is great, everything from bread with various spreads to cottage cheese to an awesome coleslaw. The main course is so much you can’t earn it all even though it tastes fantastic. From the lightly breaded chicken to the mash potatoes and gravy to the stuffing were all incredible. A great selection of German beer too! All in all a great dinner, looking forward to coming back again!

We always enjoy Zehnders, but this time was not quite up to par. I had to request the table to be wiped down twice, because it was sticky. I think the portions were smaller than usual and the white meat chicken was dry.

Our time in Frankenmuth was short but very nice. Had a short wait event hough we had reservations. The atmosphere was quiet since we were in the small dining area that does not allow young children. Food was excellent as expected and we were in & out of the restaurant in about 90 minutes. Thank goodness for the buffet which offers a wide variety that's pleasing to the eye. The prime rib was perfect at rare with flavor. The shrimp was large and tasty. Of course, the chicken and fix'ins are great. Thanks Zehnder's.

Just an FYI that the family dinner for one will easily feed two people. You can share but no refills. Pot pie is a full size pie and also big enough for two people. Food was very good but the fried chicken coating was a touch too salty in spots for my taste. Pate was excellent, as was the cole slaw, noodle soup, cranberry relish, cherry jam, breads, etc. Definitely a great meal and great value. Highly recommend it and the bakery as well.

Always look forward to my birthday meal. My adult daughters drove over an hour to join myself & hubby. We were seated it felt like in the “little kids section”. Paying over $30.00 plus drinks to have 3 unmannered children screaming, running loose, crying, which I understand happens but the rest was just too much. It was an evening competing to see which child would scream or hit the back of my chair again first.

We were a couple of minutes early but were still seated right away- it was in the large dining hall, which is not my favorite location- it’s too open and loud- reminds me of cracker barrel seating- be that as it may the dinner was delish as always- there was a bit if an issue with my rewards dinner but they figured it out. Dinner here never disappoints!

We had the all you can eat chicken dinner. It was excellent. Everything was hot and tasty. So much food we were able to take half home without getting any refills. Everyone was super friendly and nice. We made reservations but they were able to seat us early in a lovely booth.

The reservation was great. We got right in. I had noted that my guest was in a wheelchair and the table was all set for us. The waitress was excellent and came back many times to check on us. The food was excellent. I love the light seasoned coating on the fried chicken. My guest tried the rotisserie chicken and she said it was very good. I have gone to this restaurant for over 40 years and it still is my favorite.

We were there right after it opened, hardly anybody there. Our service was terrible our server Jackie would not return to table 15-20 minutes at a time. It took us over 1:45 minutes to eat for the two of us. I have been going to Zehinder's for over 50 years and have never experienced this poor service.
