Zeffirino Ratings and Reviews
Had reservation Friday at 7pm through Open Table for our 10th Anniversary in Vegas. We got there on time and this restaurant was closed! I mean boarded up closed and apparently not to reopen. It would have been nice to know something from Open Table since they took the reservation. Needless to say it was difficult to find somewhere to eat that was decent at that hour. Completely ruined our Anniversary. Thanks Open Table. We won't be using you again. Do yourself a favor and just call the restaurants directly.
The food was delicious, elegantly prepared, and delightfully unique. The service was excellent. The maitre d', waiter, and server helpers anticipated our needs perfectly, creating a dining experience of symphonic harmony, the perfect dinner for our wedding anniversary.
One of the members of my dinner party is Vegan. Our waiter went out of his way to explain all options and changes to current menu items that would be vegan friendly and then offered an option for her that wasn’t even on the menu. All of the staff were amazing, the food was fantastic.
The service was professional, very accommodating and the ultimate in class. We had a "window" table which we requested upon making the reservation, and it added to the ambiance. Although it was quite expensive ($62 for my husband's dish - the most expensive dish on the menu; $38 for mine), the seafood was well prepared, fettuccine was light and tasty, perfectly cooked, bread was perfect to sop up the delicious seafood broth for my husband, and the drinks were well made, not watered down, and perfectly balanced. The wine list is enormous, but the maître d' gave us perfect pairings for our dishes. Our bill came to about $210.00 (without tip), but included an appetizer, 2 seafood entrees, 4 mixed drinks and 2 glasses of wine. This is not a place the average person could frequently go to, but for a special occasion, it was wonderful.
We loved it here! It was our last night in Vegas and we wanted a special last meal before moving on to our next place and Zeffirino's did not disappoint.
The portion sizes matched the fair prices, the wine was gorgeous. We had a table overlooking the gondola's and our service was the best we received anywhere.
All I say is give it a chance, we were very put off by how quiet it looked from the entrance but went with it as it had great reviews. The décor, the atmosphere, even the dinner service was just lovely and authentic. Would definitely come back and 100% recommend. Thank you for a wonderful last meal/night in Vegas
My second visit to Zeffirino was a treat. This is not my fax Italian eatery in the Venetian. Truly delic food, outstanding and attentive service. We started with the shellfish sampler, perfect for 5 of us and with all the delicacies: oysters, clam, crab, lobster and more. The Bolognese was remarkable for its rich flavor and delicate fettuccini. This is a special restaurant....take your time and savor the experience!
I noted on my Open Table reservation that our dinner was for a birthday celebration. No one ever acknowledged this during the dinner. That notwithstanding, the food was great. We all enjoyed both our appetizers and main courses. They were flavorful and served very hot. Unfortunately, the restaurant was too warm as the preferred seating area near the windows overlooking the Venetian canals and our service was initially acceptable until the restaurant filled up and then we were virtually ignored for the rest of the evening. There are many restaurant choices in the Venetian and while the ambience in Zeffirio's is inviting, for the prices charged, I expected better treatment.
Value was better than many of the other higher end restaurants. Also one of the few that opened before 5. They had a 3 course prix fixe menu as another option from regular menu which had good choices. I had a pasta dish from main menu with lobster, shrimp and crab. Was expecting a cream sauce but it was a red sauce that had no flavor very bland. I asked for parmesan and that helped. The seafood was very good. My husband had veal scallopino from prix fixe that was excellent, as was his calamari. Best calamari we've ever had. My Caesar salad was good. They dis a great job of spacing things out so it was a leisurely romantic dinner. We didn't have time for the dessert though as we had a show to get to.
My husband and I went here during our trip to Las Vegas. I was very excited due to reviews online raving about the food. I had pasta with tomato sauce that was cooked well and my husband had a salmon dish. The food was good, but not good enough to make up for the demeanor of our server, which was cold and off-putting. I know that in fine dining restaurants servers are taught to be quiet and accommodating, but not overbearing. However, he seemed inconvenienced by us, and was much friendlier with other tables. He did not check on us after we received our meal. I'm not sure if he thought he didn't need to be friendly because of our age (under 30), or maybe he didn't feel like we were spending enough money to be worth his time. Regardless of his motives, we would not return to Zeffirino or recommend it to friends. Gordon Ramsay Steak was a much better restaurant overall, with better food as well as friendlier service.
Good ambience - we could hear the gondoliers singing on the canal beneath us, and with the view, you could almost believe you were in Venice. We had the set menu; I had the prosciutto, followed by grilled salmon (very nice), and my partner had an enormous plate of calamari followed by the shrimp linguine. Too much food for us but better than paying for a meal and coming out hungry! The kitchen added a candle to my partner’s cannelloni for her birthday which was a sweet touch.
This is a very elegant and authentic Italian restaurant to say the least. We were greeted at the door by a hostess who is fluent in Italian, and most of the waiters appear to be of Italian descent. The food was delizioso, and there are many different dishes to choose from. You will not be disappointed if you appreciate genuine Italian cuisine. Don’t forget to order the cannoli for dessert. Salute!
