There were 12 of us for a post holiday get together. We were not aware but on Sunday night they offer a $20.00 meal deal with an appetizer, salad, entree and sides. Great value, Very large portions, good quality. Calamari and salads very good. My lamb chops with a dried fruit reduction were good. The brussel sprouts as part of the grilled vegetable medley were completely raw, need to be roasted or blanched first. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes were ok but not hot and a bit dry. You get what you pay for. I would be willing to pay $30.00 for better quality and smaller portions.
We will definitely go back and try the regular menu. I think the server was Jim or James and did a good job.

Six of you went to Zeal before seeing the Improv Comedy, located nearby. I appreciated the Gluten free options. My dish, which was a special, was very good. It was Chilean sea bass width Brown rice pilaf. Everyone else's food was just ok. There was a live band in the lounge, which was nice. However, the dining room was like a bus station. It was very crowded and noisy, that's why we would not go back there

Tired restaurant for the older set. Food is OK but overpriced. Depressing atmosphere. Poor/rude service. Bar is hopping on the weekends but only for the AARP crowd.

This was my first visit to Zeal. Highly recommend by a coworker. It did not disappoint. Food was amazing as was the service. The calamari was exceptional. The lit menus were a surprise bonus. My mom has problems with her sight and this was a big help. Will definitely be back.

Strictly as a restaurant I don't see a reason to frequent Zeal in comparison to other nearby restaurants. Both dishes we ordered fell short of our expectations. The scallops were overpowered by their sauce, while the lemon chicken and pasta were on the bland side. However, the live music in the lounge was enjoyable and would be the principal reason to return.

My wife and I really enjoy Zeal. There have been a few restaurants in this location but Zeal continues to be a great place for food and drink. The food is excellent and the servers can't be beat. Thumbs up!!

Beef Tenderloin was ordered medium rare. Came out well done & luke warm. Grouper was good but luke warm. Couldn't find waitress to get beef redone. We've been to Zeal many times. By far the worst meal & service we ever had. For a Saturday evening prime time the dining room was only partially filled. Bar with entertainer was packed. Perhaps their focus is on the bar scene.

we had heard great things about Zeal and decided to give it a whirl. It was AMAZING. From the wine to the appetizers - and the bread: OMG, the BREAD. and the 'dipping' oil. you have been warned. My husband HAD to have the prime rib lasagna. yes. Prime Rib Lasagna. i think i got a taste of it. i had the fresh fish, lemon butter sauce, a very mild white fish. it was outstanding. the coffee was top notch and the carrot cake we shared? there's was enough to share the next day as well. VERY GENEROUS portions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. we will return. again and again and again.

Was overall good; the service from Gary was perfect. The food was good but none of us felt it was extraordinary. One of those places that was good but may not have provided a reason to go back. May not be fair - they did nothing wrong. But when I go out, I really want a memorable meal.

Our waitress was amazing from the start! Her direction, overall knowledge of the menu and positive fun attitude made us all comfy and ready to try new dishes! The portions are huge....we all ended up taking food home for today’s meal. We started with a few cocktails and the house warm bread with dipping olive oil which we all devoured! A few appetizers and chopped salad too. Unfortunately, we were stuffed and had no room for dessert but will definitely go back, share an entree and leave room for a dessert since the menu looked amazing too!!

We were a party of 4 for a birthday celebration, which was indicated on our open table reservation. There was no mention of it as we were seated or throughout dinner. They were out of the sea bass (disappointment). The Bacala fish was drowning in sauce as an alternative and very salty. The Italian beef egg rolls were good, but not enough to bring us back. We also were freezing throughout our dinner experience. We would have forgone the lackluster decor had the food been worth it. Sorry, we will not return.

The server was attentive. Food runner/busboy was very nice.
Food was delish. The "Zeal" Sauvignon Blanc wine was ok. I would order something else next time. Will return for dinner with spouse.

I visited Zeal with my family for a pre-holiday dinner and this was our first time dining here. We will definitely be back for more! We were a little skeptical walking in because it was a Sunday night at 5:30 and the parking lot was pretty empty, but we quickly forgot about that as we were warmly greeted by the friendly hostess and bartender.

The food here is phenomenal. The portions are entirely too big, so if you want a meal that sticks to your ribs, order anything on the menu and you won’t be disappointed. The fresh homemade bread is the absolute best I’ve ever had, and the dinner was outstanding. On Sundays there is a meal deal for $20 that includes an appetizer, salad, dinner entree and two sides (plus all the fresh bread your heart desires), which is a great deal considering you will go home with dinner for the next two nights! Everyone at my table was moaning with delight through pretty much the entire meal, and then were groaning at the end because we were all so full.

All of the food we had, from the calamari fries (the best EVER), salads, eggplant and chicken Parmesan, to the prime rib, everything was delicious. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had at a restaurant and can not wait to visit again! Thank you!

Vince Zeals, every time I go there it exceeds my expectation. Our server Karen, OMG, friendly right on point. Helpful in choosing appetizers. By the end of the night, was like my sister. Food, top notch, the surprise was when we got the check. I was expected a lot more than it was. I am older and they have menus when you open, light up. The chef "Vince" came out and walk to everybody's table and made sure everything was alright. I would suggest these place for Dinner, music, and/or just for a drink. Jerry

Chef Vince never disappoints. His food creations are top notch and I have been there several times and will be going several MORE times. We had the Italian beef egg rolls, steak and scallians. All were the BEST! Service was quick and they checked on us often. I always tell everyone about Zeal!

Excellent Italian spot near Woodfield Mall. Very good traditional Italian and creative innovations from Chef Vince. On a busy Saturday night, Chef Vince stopped at our table to discuss the evening specials with us. Our server Gary was very attentive too. We will be back.
