Delicious meal and great wine. We sat near the “chef’s table” and were quite entertained. We definitely want to come back and be part of it for real. Awesome fillet and to die for Brussels!! Go Now.
FABULOUS food. Served “course style” so our dinner was really lengthy. They almost leave too much time in between courses. We would’ve preferred it not take so long. Great service though and amazing menu.
The wait for our main meal was too long. The steak was half-gristle, and noticeably over-cooked. When we pointed out the gristle, the waiter offered to order a new steak, but we weren't willing to wait again. He then offered a complimentary dessert. The waiter was personable, professional and prompt, but the kitchen performance was sorely lacking.
It took a very long time to get our food. Around 45 minutes.
I rated your value poor , the pricing I thought was something I might find in Chicago or Vegas. My rice , shrimp dish had 3 shrimp for $32 cocktails $5 more than specialty places , and my wife's seafood dish had 1 scallop, $36.
We went to Zazios for a romantic dinner with my fiancee. We had a great time, the food was delicious, the service was amazing! We'll definitely go back when we go to Kalamazoo again.
We were very disappointed in our experience. The food was not bad, but certainly not wonderful. And definitely not a good value for the money. We will not be back.
Service was great, as well as, the drinks. The food was just ok. Ordered steak and it was cooked to my liking on the inside but outside was charred and that’s all you could taste is charred meat.
Scallops were cold in the middle. The server was very gracious about it and offered another plate.
The food was delicious. We had the crab Benedict with hollandaise sauce and the crab soup. Crab soup had to be sent back because it was cool but delicious. The atmosphere was bright and cheerful. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating but the service was a bit slow and it was difficult to get ahold of him when needed.
We had a wonderful meal and evening celebrating our daughter's birthday!
Me and my wife don’t get to get out much but this was a much needed dinner date. Great food and for the value you get more than enough to eat. Great atmosphere and good service and would definitely go back
Have dined here many times but feel it has declined in quality & service of late. Mistakes on cocktails, long waits between courses when the restaurant was not even close to full. Very disappointed this visit. ☹
Our meal was delicious, and our server Katelyn was delightful. They even decorated our dessert plate to congratulate us on our anniversary! It was a lovely evening, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We had a Date Night, Our 1st time having dinner at the Chef Table,
It’s was Amazing,Delicious & Entertaining 😍
I highly recommend it!!!!!!!
Special Thanks to Chef Alec 😎!!! Thank You for the delicious food.
Suzette & Michael
The food was ok- nothing fabulous- our waitress was very nice but the dinner was way too long- very drawn out- waiting awhile between courses
Seafood month rocks! Surf and turf was prepared perfectly and we had outstanding service.
Was Delicious we had the 3 course special for $35.00
We definitely recommend it ♥️ it!!!
Our waitress was McKayla she was awesome 😎
Great service & Great Food 😍
Thank You to Chef 😎
We definitely will be back
Great evening with lots of options. We all had a steak which was cooked perfectly. Would have liked a broader selection of vegetables.
The food was great, we were expecting a little more of a fine dining experience for the price but still had a wonderful time. If you are looking for a low key quiet evening out I do not recommend this place on the weekend. I would still go again but for more of a casual date night and hopefully chefs table!
My wife and I come for Valentine’s Day every year. Always a great experience, the food and service are awesome.
Went on Valentine's day, had a 715 reservation, arrived at 7pm and was asked to wait in the bar area. By 730 still had not been seated and when we checked on our table they had given it away!! Finally got seated at 850. The food and service were great. They comped a drink for the inconvenience. The wait staff was friendly and handled the very busy evening real well.
Excellent service and great food
The service was excellent. The food was very good including presentation. My wife and I was visiting from West Palm Beach Florida and we had the best experience dining at this restaurant. Compliments to the Chef on a excellent job with the food.
This was our second year visiting Zazios during Restaurant Week. Both occasions were stellar! Food & wine selection have more options than other restaurant offerings. Celebrated birthday & remembrance of a good friend. Exciting Saturday night in Kalamazoo! We’ll be back.
We had a nice Date night. The Filet Mignon was excellent. The Wedge salad was a little spicy for my tastes. Service was great.
Excellent all around. Food was excellent and service was prompt and courteous. I have never had a meal at Zazios that wasn’t excellent, and have been there multiple times.
we went for a friend’s birthday.
We have enjoyed Zazios several times over the years and the food this time did not disappoint. It was the first night of restaurant week so very busy. Three of four of us ordered from the Prix Fixe menu. The waiter mentioned that the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed and that was apparently correct as were there over three hours, mostly waiting for our food. As we waited, the waiter became less and less attentive. I believe I saw him in the kitchen trying to assist the cook staff. When the food did arrive it was delicious. The presentation was a bit underwhelming, but the salad was fresh and the salmon was moist, not overcooked. The Tiramisu and Cheesecake were delicious!
Excellent restaurant, we had the calamari to start, and it was perfect! I've cooked professionally for a decade, so it is hard for me to be willing to spend a lot of money on simple items I could make easily myself. So I choose the lobster ravioli, and it was delicious. I eat a low sodium diet, and the cream sauce was salty to my taste; most people wouldn't think so. My wife had a buttered pasta dish, and that was also very good.
While we weren't drinking, they had an extensive wine list, and their mixed drink menu had several unusual offerings.
Outstanding food, great service!! Some of the best pasta I've had in a long time! Can't wait to go back!
Service was a little slow which was to be expected. Both the steak and the salmon were over cooked.
We decided at the last minute to try Zazio's on New Year's Eve. We reserved a table, were seated right away, and enjoyed a delicious meal while watching people walking up and down the Kalamazoo Mall.
Disappointed, not as good as i expected. Overpriced
Very disappointed in this restaurant. Food was over cooked. Very expensive without the quality; just a high priced fast food joint.
We had dined at Zazio's for our rehearsal dinner almost four years ago and loved everything about it. When we were looking for a place for our Christmas Eve dinner away from home, we were happy to see that Zazio's was actually open for the evening.
Unfortunately, the online menu was not current. I was all set to order the fettuccine which sounded from the description similar to carbonara, however that dish was not available. We fondly remembered how tasty the short ribs from our rehearsal dinner were and both hubby and I opted for them again tonight. We were sad that they were not nearly as good as we had remembered. First of all, the dish should be titled "short rib" rather than ribs (plural) because it was mostly a dish of mashed potatoes and a mountain of Brussels sprouts with one piece of beef. For $28, the serving of short ribs was sparse. Secondly, everything seemed to be heavily salted, to the point that I was even a bit thirsty. Hubby suggested that maybe a bit of balsamic glaze on the sprouts or a sauce of some sort on the beef would have counterbalanced the saltiness. Lastly, the truffle mashed potatoes had large chunks which were un-mashed.
We opted to return to our hotel room for homemade Christmas cookies for dessert instead of taking a chance.
Our group of 8 came here for our holiday party and did the Chef's table experience. It definitely exceeded my expectations! The food was amazing and caters to the crowd, even picky eaters will leave satisfied. The wine pairing was on point and the interaction with the chef made for a very fun experience. If you go, make sure to volunteer! Thank you for the wonderful time Zazios!
It was Loud, Crowded. Food was $$
Good service, though.
Food was very good. Atmosphere was vibrant and alive. Service was solid. Unfortunately, we were served a glass of red wine with a tablespoon full of sediment at the bottom of it - not a positive experience.
Zazio's had a special holiday menu which included a surf and turf option that was popular with my group. My wife had the tuna which was also excellent.
