Zarletti - Mequon
We hope you enjoy the simple, thoughtful cuisine. Whether it’s our Neopolitan pizza, hand-crafted in the wood-burning oven imported from Italy, or one of our many housemade pastas, each dish is prepared and presented with both appetite and aesthetic in mind.
We are thrilled to welcome you to the world of Italian food, wine, and fun! Buon appetito!
Nice casual dinner with friends. Our server, Bethany was absolutely outstanding.
Disappointing food! The downtown location is better. We have heard that from several people but decided to try for ourselves. My husband veal piccata was the best of our dishes. The pizza was awful! Won't return.
This was not my first visit to Zarletti-Mequon, but it was for some of the people in my party. All of us enjoyed our food very much, and our server was friendly, helpful, and available. All in all, it was a terrific experience.
Best Italian in the Ozaukee area. Bolognese never disappoints
I had a very nice glass of wine, but the salt level of the food was off the charts.
Always great food! Love their patio on a Summer night.
Always great service and food. Highly recommended.
This was our first visit to this Zarletti location. It was our anniversary. We drove 80 miles to get there. It was not busy. We ordered a couple of cocktails, one of which was a Maker's Manhattan, served UP. My husband's Manhattan arrived, 'on the rocks'. He chose not to say anything. We just wanted a peaceful dinner. We had calamari as an appetizer. It was actually pretty good. Served with 2 small plates for sharing. My husband had the 'market fish' as an entree. It was described as a 'something encrusted Grouper' when we ordered. When it arrived, the server said 'here is your halibut'. Well, what was it, Grouper or Halibut? Yes, we know the difference. Again, we chose not to say anything. He said it was actually pretty good. It was served with mashed potatoes. I had the 'ravioli of the day'. Mushroom ravioli. I loved the mushrooms and the sauce. However, the ravioli pillows were rather 'chewy'. Undercooked? At this point, we just wanted to finish and get out. Our empty cocktail glasses were not cleared, nor were the 2 small plates. Were we supposed to have a basket of bread? If so, it never arrived, but we did see it on the half dozen or so other tables with bodies at them. Oh well, we wanted to save room for dessert anyway. My husband had Momma's Cheesecake w/blueberry sauce. He liked it. I had the chocolate torte. It was ice cold. It was also rather dry. How long had it been in the refrigerator? smh Obviously, by this time we were very frustrated, and wanted to simply leave. Yeah, an 80 mile drive home ahead of us, and we ran into a severe thunderstorm 25 miles from home. Oh joy. Ultimately, was it our fault for not speaking up? We resisted that temptation. We were frustrated, and just wanted to get out. We both expected a lot better from a Zarletti location. Next time, we will drive the extra 10-15 miles to the downtown location. We have been there SEVERAL times, and have NEVER had an issue. We will have to visit there again. Soon. Brian Z, what happened here?
The food was unremarkable and did not taste remotely close to authentic Italian cuisine. Our server was excellent though, and the noise level and atmosphere was nice -- just too bad about the mediocre meal.
Every thing we ordered was good, great calamari and burata !
The food and service were amazing. The server was very knowledgeable on the food a drink menu. The timing of the drinks and food were great, as well. The party I was with all chose different items on the menu. Each person tasted all of the dishes, and we all loved everything! It was a wonderful experience!
Loved everything, but hard to hear the conversation...that's the case with most places now!
I really wanted to love it since I love the downtown location. The service we received was attentive and considerate. The burrata was delicious and well presented and I would recommend that appetizer. I had the bolognese. The noodles were sticky and starchy--I have never had that texture prior. I'm not sure if they were undercooked or not rinsed properly, however, coupled with the sauce that was lacking in deep flavor, the dish was a bit of a miss. My dining companion was not able to eat the black truffle pizza he ordered due to the overpowering rosemary and the manager was kind enough to take if off the bill. It was definitely not the best night in terms of food flavors but perhaps we'll try it again. The space itself is beautiful so hopefully we'll have better luck in the future.
The food was fabulous and our server went above and beyond to accommodate special dietary needs.
Zarletti did a nice job in accommodating a business dinner for a moderately large group with last minute changes in attendance. The food was wonderful, especially the bison ragu, and the great variety of desserts and the ambiance were just right after a long day of meetings. We had a great time.
Sea bass was outstanding and so was the sautéed spinach!
Excellent service. Great good. Love that they offer gluten free pasta options. The shrimp scampi was amazing!
It was a lovely restaurant. Perfect for the work lunch we had. Have to try the outdoor seating next time.
From the moment we took our seats at the bar to when we walked out the door, our experience was outstanding. The bar tender was friendly, our waitress knew the menu well and offered suggestions and the food was superb. Everyone made our dining experience special and we will return again.
Anzar the bar manager was wonderful. It was our first time at Zarletti's and our meal was phenomenal , the antipasti and burrata were the best we have ever had. Steak skewers perfectly cooked! My only comment would be that I wold have liked more sorbet in our Prosecco/Limoncello dessert. We will definitly be back next time we are in Milwaukee:)
2 of us had the grilled halibut with pineapple salsa daily special which was good but nothing special. 2 of the guests had the grilled lemon chicken with garlic mash potatoes which was also good but again nothing special. Our waiter was outstanding and thoughtfully communicated and ensured our special dietary requirements were met. He kept us appraised of the status of our meal preparations and checked on us throughout the evening at appropriate and welcome intervals. The house salad was fresh and dressed perfectly.
Very underwhelming food and service. We were a party of 9 and waited a longer than usual time for food due to a large party upstairs. Large parties always make advance reservations so why not have more staff on hand?
Drinks were bad (sangria) so we went with a fail proof wine.
Food was extremely bland and tasteless on some bites. You could tell some of our meals sat under the heat lamp to long. We walked out with a $300 bill and should’ve bought food and cooked ourselves. Unfortunately we won’t ever be back.
Great birthday dinner. Food, wine and appetizers were great - service was alright.
Location was easily accessible with plenty of parking. Food was outstanding, limited menu, along the lines of fine dining. A little bit pricey, but what isn't expensive these days?!
"Energetic" is not the word for the noise level last Saturday evening; "Bedlam" is more appropriate. I do not return to places where I have to shout at my dinner companions to hold a civilized conversation, and that, sadly, includes Zarletti-Mequon.
This restaurant is one of our favorite places to dine. Atmosphere and food are excellent. We will be back many more times.
The chicken was not fresh. It was previously frozen and tasted bad. I did not finish my plate. It was horrible
Great meal, and our server was very nice.
Server was not good. Terrible attitude and very rude. Simy not good at his job and made no effort to be nice.
We had a very nice time. Lovely atmosphere ( a tad too noisy for me), food was delicious & we thought fairly priced. Our waitstaff was great too!
Anna was our waitress and she did an excellent job, in-spite of the busyness . Food was delicious. Host was very accommodating w our table preference. Can’t wait to come back!
Have been here several times-hit or miss. Took 35 min for a waitress to come to our table, wasn't overly crowded. When waitress came-everything took a long time. Food arrived lukewarm.
Had a wonderful experience at a busy Mother’s Day Brunch. Service was prompt and attentive, food was well paced to allow us to enjoy the day.
Outstanding brunch - I come here a lot for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the special event brunch. bravo!
Great Mother’s Day lunch.
Food was amazing and so was our waitress! We had a group of 7 and there was not a piece of food left on anyone’s plates. Highly recommend the burratta appetizer and any of their pizzas!
It’s never a bad experience when I dine here. The food and service is excellent.
Food was delicious and service was friendly and prompt.
