A most disappointing meal, pizza crust was burnt, not a lot of options if you have food sensitivities, not great service
Had a wonderful brunch. Great service, excellent food, cozy atmosphere.
I think their Caesar salad is the tastiest, visually great and so easy to eat as finger food. Brilliant
The garlic aioli spaghetti is simply the best, even better than the ones I have tasted in Italy!! Congratulations. .
Rather limited wine selection but enough to get a favourite tasty one.
It is simply the best restaurant in Victoria. Peter has a sense and knowledge of food that is sublime.
Took good care of our family and friends. Especially, pleasant and patient with our kids.
My boyfriend and I went to Zambri's for dinner on a Saturday night while visiting Victoria. We chose this restaurant from a "recommend" list provided by our hotel.
Atmosphere: good for a date night - nice decor, modern, clean and music at the right volume (we could easily talk to each other without raising our voices)
Service: good - our server was attentive but not intrusive and made some good recommendations
Wine list: small and moderately priced
Food: good - classic Italian
We shared the vegetable croccante to start; it was incredible and I'd order it again in a heartbeat! For mains, I had Orecchiette pasta and my boyfriend chose the Salsiccia pizza. My pasta was okay but a bit bland; portion size was very generous. My boyfriend liked the pizza and it more than enough to satisfy one hungry person. We shared vanilla panna cotta for dessert and it was delicious - great flavour, perfect consistency!
Next time we're in Victoria, I'd return to Zambri's, but I'd try one of the pizzas.
Was celebrating a milestone bday. The service was slow and the server was not very attentive. Wish I had not recommended this place for the occasion.
Two ladies having lunch in a lovely setting with good fresh food and tremendous service. Will be back many more times. Thank you.
It was a last minute decision to dine out. The booking experience online was painless and when we got to the restaurant we were taken to our table immediately. The staff were pleasant and our server very helpful. The food was so good and the ambiance warm and friendly. We were not rushed. Both of us vow to come back soon. Thank you
Zambri's is always reliable for great Italian food and a well curated wine list. For the first time in a long time we tried the pizza menu and the pies are first rate. Delightful light and crisp crusts with a short list of toppings, but one that will appeal to pretty much any taste. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner, and the location is fantastic for any downtown attraction.
Zambri's is very good all around. Lunchtime can be a bit loud but that happens at successful restaurants. Server was excellent.
Consistently good food, beautifully presented, creative combinations of food.
Great date. Sat out in the atrium area, very nice. I love it when staff knows the door they are serving.
It was a few years since we've been back. Had a couple bad experiences with a rude waiter, so my husband refused to go back.
We dined with friends and really enjoyed the food and the waiter was great. Will be returning.
The food was very good if a little pricey. Really nice atmosphere and close to movie theatres.
Wonderful spot to sit and enjoy an exceptional meal before a movie or just on a casual date night. The Caesar salad is to die for and the service is excellent. Good wine selection. Definitely recommended.
Great spot for a casual get-together downtown. The menu offers something for everyone. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, just after 1:00. It was a good thing we had a reservation for our party of six.
Subpar execution. Menu sounds good. Quality not there. Funny to read the owner responses to negative reviews. Further emphasizes that they just don’t get it.
We were very well taken care of including given a different chair to accommodate my back. Great service very good food. We will be returning.
Valentines Day date. This was our second time dining at Zambrini’s and we weren’t disappointed. We usually opt to stay home and cook something decedent, we prefer a more intimate Valentines Day, but we were so glad we went out. For light eaters I suggest ordering/sharing one dish from every course with your date. That way you get to taste all they have to offer. So stuffed, but so good. Staff is friendly, real, and polished. Lovely setting, even with a packed restaurant. Their wine list is well matched to the menu. Save (or make) room for the pistachio gelato - trust me!
We booked our reservation for the first time using open table. I appreciated the email reminder about the date and time.
We arrived at the restaurant and were seated within minutes. It was nice that we were given a choice of seating locations. Naturally we picked the closest one to the bar.
Our waiter attended to us promptly and we settled on some drinks and a starter Cesare salad. He recommended we just split one salad because it was large enough for two.
Our order was taken for the entree and we both enjoyed our meals. My partner loved his crispy pork shoulder. I thought that my dish, chicken with potatoes and Tomato sauce was missing something as far as seasoning but it was still good. The olives were very tasty.
During the course of our meal we were served and attended to by a about 5 people. It’s obvious that they work well as a team.
A shout out to the waitress who paired a perfect wine for my meal. It was indeed full-bodied and a nice compliment to the meal.
Thank you for making our Valentine’s Day a special day.
This was a great restaurant. Definitely worth going to!
Our appetizer was a delicious eggplant 'cannoli', which was amazing as usual.
We split an entree of Pescato del Giorno - rock fish with a potato and baccala crust- which was a little disappointing. It wasn't up to the usual excellent standard we have come to know and expect. The puree sauce that covered the dish appeared to be a taupe colour, which wasn't very appealing and the crust on the fish was similar in colour and appeal. It tasted a bit under-done and altogether a bit mushy. We will be back but may be a little less adventurous next time.
Our server made an excellent wine recommendation and staff were friendly and attentive as always. Much thanks to the gaol behind the bar who understands how a sincere 'goodnight can make a customer feel special.
We were visiting Victoria for just a couple of nights and so glad we chose to check out Zambri's. Food was delicious, the pork was especially mouthwatering. Highly recommend!
Table wasn't ready, bland salty food, ordered wine finally came as we were done eating our main.
The service is excellent, the food delicious and attractive in presentation. The staff are very good in addressing dietary restrictions. Wine selection is very good and reasonably priced.
Zambri's definitely deserves a place among Victoria's best restaurants. Carefully made authentic Italian food, well served with knowledgable staff, custom dining options, great ambience, not cheap but decent pricing.
Wonderful evening! Knowledgeable & friendly server, great food, great atmosphere! Thank you.
Lovely as usual. We are never disappointed here. The consistency in both quality of service and food never fails! A true gem in Victoria.
Painfully long wait for lunch food. (1hour)! Ignored by host upon arrival . Stood waiting as phone conversation continued- no eye contact acknowledgement . Disappointing service . Very good food but that in it self doesn’t make a restaurant nice to be at
Good atmosphere and great service. None of the food tasted freshly made. Congealed parpadelle cream sauce, Medium temperature lamb/lentils and the creme brule was just okay. Overall, not worth the money and I regret not dining out somewhere else. I could have done this better at home. At least the beer was cold.
Always great food. Always good service. Just tthe top resataurant in town.
We went to Zambri’s on a date for their dine around menu, we chose the $40 selection and I got the lamb. I did not care for it, I found the meat tough and difficult to cut with a steak knife. As well as drowned in the tomato sauce it was served in. It tasted more Czech than Italian. There was also a fair amount of gristle in the lamb chops, I would say more than average. If I were to go back I would try their pasta dishes, I hear that they are excellent. Overall service and the ambience was wonderful.
Awesome food, helpful and knowledgable staff, great drinks, and a very comfortable ambiance.
5 stars to our Server. I am embarrassed to forget her name: Serena? Sampherna? Oh dear. We have brought friends 3 Times this month when she has served us impeccably.
She is studying bio-psychology at Uvic. The brunch menu is unique so we have taken foodies on Sundays for brunch. And Ms S.
Has been a super host.
good food and great service by the fellow who served us. Unfortunately, we were rushed. Even though we had a reservation, we were told by the person who seated us that we would only have the table for 1 1/2 hours. Clearly not a place to go and linger over a meal.
Appetizer and dessert were quite good, but main course (orichiette with kale pesto and spicy tomato pepper sauce) was surprisingly bland. It was not watery but *tasted* watery. Very unflavorful.
We went for a birthday celebration but did not tell the staff. We didn't go for the dine around but one of use did order from that menu. I felt rushed at the end and no tea or special coffees were mentioned. The bill was brought to us with out asking if we were done. Felt like we were being put into the "dine around" category. Some food items were excellent as they were tasty and creative...main courses were ok and good. Hope to try again another time.
Always a great experience and always great food!! My friend and I have been meeting about once a month for about 1-1/2 years and we love it:-)
Great Brunch for a party of 6. Always have superior food and service
