Perfect for a business lunch. good food. Timely attentive service. Only complaint is they do not serve Diet Coke.
I love Zambri's for all kinds of food: antipasti, primi and secondi. Wish the menu was a little more exciting in terms of desserts but I greatly appreciate the menu overall. We had amazing salads for antipasti and followed that with world-class authentic Italian pizzas. Good wine list. I would definitely recommend this restaurant highly.
Very disappointing. My dinner was best of 4 dinners, prosciutto pizza. Tasty especially if you are in the mood for something salty, but the prosciutto was laid across the top of the crust in long strips and therefor impossible to cut or eat bitesize.
Delightful as always! We go there every time we are in Victoria.
The food was definitely below the usual medium plus level I have come to expect from Zambris. They clearly are in a downhill slide, the staff is unenthusiastic, the food is terrible, and the restaurant is half empty while every other restaurant in Victoria is booked weeks in advance. The management and ownership are clearly out to lunch, and need a serious wake up call.
To many items to complain about but here's a few:
The bread crust is extremely thick, hard, and sharp, biting it will likely cut your gums, not a joke...
The salad dressing is dull, and the salad pieces need to be cut with a fork, makes for a potentially messy situation, highly irritating.
The pasta noodles taste like they come out of a regular $3 a pack at the grocery store pasta, and the sauce is uninspired. Has anyone heard of high quality pasta noodles??? Makes a world of difference.
The wine list would be more befitting a dive bar, as it contains perhaps at most one bottle of some quality. Not what you would expect from looking at its decor, location, and clientele. This really shows the level of care and commitment to quality from ownership.
The only good thing in all honesty is their espresso, well done on this front.
We decided to use our OpenTable voucher here and so ordered the most expensive item on the menu. It was very disappointing. My med. rare tenderloin was almost well done and didn't really seem to have the texture of a tenderloin. The presentation on the plate was very unappetising as it was covered with a slice of ham and white cheese and placed on a white sauce that covered half the plate. The other half was filled with a low mound of yellow polenta. I was quite taken aback when it was placed in front of me. While the meat and sauce were very tasty, the dish would have have been vastly improved by some colourful vegetables, like roasted asparagus and baby carrots perhaps. At $34.00 I expected something like that. Perhaps if our server, who was otherwise excellent, had told us the dish didn't come with veg....... We enjoyed the bread and olives which are complementary but had to pay $2.00 for olive oil/balsamic dip for bread - not a big deal. The coffee was excellent as was the sorbet, which the server comped me when she noticed my well-done steak. Since we weren't that impressed with our meal there the last time, I'm not sure we'd return. We very much enjoyed eating here in the past, so it's too bad.
Great friendly service of excellent food
A smallish spot downtown that serves good quality food for a fair price.
always awesome. good food, great people. never a let down
Always good, this night exceptional though...food, table and service were fantastic!
I always enjoy Zambri's Italian fare and wine bar.
The service was excellent and always kid friendly. The waiter was very thoughtful about my vegetarian meal and consulted with chef to make it entirely meat free including the stock used. This is the restaurant we go to for our celebrations or just a real treat out. It’s the only place my child eats vegetables at. The food is delicious and Jo is always welcoming. Thank you.
Never disappointed. Our server was amazing, I wish I remembered her name. My wine was corked and she was quickly in it to replace my glass.
Service was timely and personable. The food was very good. I would definitely go back and will recommend to friends.
Used to always enjoy but menu to static. Had a hard time deciding on what to eat. Service and ambiance is always outstanding
Great service , very good food.
always great food there. elegant and casual. right downtown.
My favourite restaurant in Victoria. Great service and great food.
Delicious food, friendly and sincere service.
We have dined here several times over the years and will be back. Zambri's is a Victoria gem.
Excellent food. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nice pace.I took real estate clients to celebrate a purchase and we had a great time.
Recommended by locals who frequent Zambri's often .Did not pay attention to Vegan/Veg/Paleo options but might want those options if we were to eat there regularly but we are from Interior BC .We would return whenever we are in Victoria
Unreasonably priced and not good for lunch. Veggie special was a joke - random tastes for kale, potato and cauliflower, and under seasoned smoked tuna. Small protein size - not worth the price!
You should learn to not to save on portion sizes - people come to satisfy their hunger that's why they pay so much money.
We were very happy with our dinner here. Our expectations were exceeded. The food was authentic and perfectly prepared. Servers were there when you wanted them and very pleasant to deal with. Great atmosphere and location.
We had an excellent time as usual at Zambris. Handmade pasta was perfect, pizza was delicious and well priced, and ambiance was upscale but casual enough to just relax. Highly recommended.
We had a great dinner and proseccos
The service was good
As somewhat regulars , I would like to see more variation in the dishes on the menu.
Also more exploration into italian regional cuisine
Victoria has changed and is ready for this now!
All the best
Never disappointed . I think our servers name was Brent. He was awesome .
A most disappointing meal, pizza crust was burnt, not a lot of options if you have food sensitivities, not great service
Had a wonderful brunch. Great service, excellent food, cozy atmosphere.
I think their Caesar salad is the tastiest, visually great and so easy to eat as finger food. Brilliant
The garlic aioli spaghetti is simply the best, even better than the ones I have tasted in Italy!! Congratulations. .
Rather limited wine selection but enough to get a favourite tasty one.
It is simply the best restaurant in Victoria. Peter has a sense and knowledge of food that is sublime.
Took good care of our family and friends. Especially, pleasant and patient with our kids.
My boyfriend and I went to Zambri's for dinner on a Saturday night while visiting Victoria. We chose this restaurant from a "recommend" list provided by our hotel.
Atmosphere: good for a date night - nice decor, modern, clean and music at the right volume (we could easily talk to each other without raising our voices)
Service: good - our server was attentive but not intrusive and made some good recommendations
Wine list: small and moderately priced
Food: good - classic Italian
We shared the vegetable croccante to start; it was incredible and I'd order it again in a heartbeat! For mains, I had Orecchiette pasta and my boyfriend chose the Salsiccia pizza. My pasta was okay but a bit bland; portion size was very generous. My boyfriend liked the pizza and it more than enough to satisfy one hungry person. We shared vanilla panna cotta for dessert and it was delicious - great flavour, perfect consistency!
Next time we're in Victoria, I'd return to Zambri's, but I'd try one of the pizzas.
Was celebrating a milestone bday. The service was slow and the server was not very attentive. Wish I had not recommended this place for the occasion.
Two ladies having lunch in a lovely setting with good fresh food and tremendous service. Will be back many more times. Thank you.
It was a last minute decision to dine out. The booking experience online was painless and when we got to the restaurant we were taken to our table immediately. The staff were pleasant and our server very helpful. The food was so good and the ambiance warm and friendly. We were not rushed. Both of us vow to come back soon. Thank you
Zambri's is always reliable for great Italian food and a well curated wine list. For the first time in a long time we tried the pizza menu and the pies are first rate. Delightful light and crisp crusts with a short list of toppings, but one that will appeal to pretty much any taste. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner, and the location is fantastic for any downtown attraction.
Zambri's is very good all around. Lunchtime can be a bit loud but that happens at successful restaurants. Server was excellent.
Consistently good food, beautifully presented, creative combinations of food.
Great date. Sat out in the atrium area, very nice. I love it when staff knows the door they are serving.
