First time at Zama. The sushi was average as compared to other sushi restaurants in this price range. Everything was fresh, but at over $100 for lunch for two, I would hope for a truly outstanding experience. The service was on the slow side, and we didn't like their policy of bringing items to the table as they are ready. It made for a somewhat disjointed meal.

We all tried the tasting menu and it was delicious. The cocktails were good and the food was fairly priced. Our waiter seemed a tad disinterested, but our food was delivered on time and he answered all of our questions. We look forward to going back!

Loved our experience at Zama. The restaurant is beautiful, the lights and ambience was perfect, and the servers and hosts are relaxed, welcoming, and approachable. The food was absolutely incredible- definitely the best sushi I've ever had. Every part of our meal was fresh and flavorful. We also loved that the cocktails were tasty and strong, and the dessert we had was the perfect serving size and so delicious. Also, the prices were very fair and reasonable. Would definitely come back here!

The place is beautiful, and very large. The food was good. Moreover, they do a lot of take out business. I waited 1 hour and 15 min for my shashimi, my wife had to wait an additional 10 min for the special roll. I spoke to the manager about the need to match the number of people to the ability to be served. I was impressed with his response. “Don’t tell me how to run a restaurant”. He was arrogant and rude. Sleek hair and nicely dressed. He probably had no loyalty to the restaurant. By the way the waitresses were great, attentive and professional. I guess I’ll not be coming back.

Food is just OK, not great, especially for the price I was paying. I got the $100 Omakase (Chef's tasting menu), and my wife got the $59 Chirashi and we were not impressed by the quality or taste at all. Other food we ordered was just OK as well. No one in my family was impressed by the food when considering the price we're paying. I've had better food and better Omakase at many other Japanese restaurants. Service from the waitresses was hit and miss. Our waitress was good, but occasionally other waitresses will help bring the food over to the table. One of the other waitress was not good at all. First time she put the food down and said what it was, but she definitely looked like she didn't want to be there. She didn't even make eye contact with us at all. Second time she put the food down quickly and instantly left and didn't even bother to say anything at all, and we didn't know what the food was as we didn't order it (eventually we found out from another waitress that it's a complimentary side that came along with one of the entrees).

The food was fantastic, but it took a very long time to get our food. My water glass was not refilled once even though I asked. And it took forever to get the attention from our server. The food was delicious enough to come back for sure. But I do hope it’s better service the next time
