Zaika - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
I absolutely love Zaika. My boyfriend and I eat there regularly and sometimes order delivery when we're feeling lazy. The food is consistently delicious no matter what we order, and the staff is so pleasant and friendly. They even recognize us as regulars, and always make sure we are happy and comfortable. Thank you, Zaika!
If you like Indian food, this is the best in Arlington. If you like wine with your dinner, half price wine Monday is a deal. Service was great. Menu has such a great selection. I will definitely be back to this restaurant! Thank you! Zaiya
saw they have 1/2 price bottles of wine on Mondays so might try and come back for that. came here with a groupon for the 2nd time. for what you get, the food is good and restaurant offers great value. The weather was nice so we got to sit outside. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
Arlington doesn't have many Indian restaurants so it's nice to have Zaika in Clarendon. It was a lovely evening and so we ate on the patio. Wait staff were attentive. Food was standard fare but well prepared and very tasty and satisfying. I also ha a very refreshing cucumber laced gin cocktail that was delicious. We will be back.
Hard to find -- it's above Sephora's, and the stairs are a bit steep and very, very hard. My son fell on them, so watch that. Food is great. My 10-year-old and I really loved the Mango Chicken. Choice of mild, medium or spicy everything, so there's a lot of control there. My husband loved the Lamb Vindaloo, which he likes very spicy. The mango lassi was not the best I've ever had, and it was pricey, but it was still good. My husband had one beer, and it and the lassi were both small for the price. The garlic naan was also pricey, but very very tasty. The upshot is, the food is great, and the entrees are very reasonably priced, but you pay extra for every little extra that you order, so watch the sides and drinks if you're on a budget. The naan bread and drinks easily doubled my bill. Still, it was a great experience for a nice meal in a nice restaurant. We had a great time. Nice sit down family restaurant, and they seemed to be very patient with the kids at another table who were not the best behaved.
I went with my family to Zaika's for Mother's Day. The food was delicious! I highly recommend their mixed drinks.
We ordered the Kebab Platter and the Samundri Ki Machiyani. The meat was tender and the flavors were on point. The portions were satisfying and I ended up with enough to take home for dinner the next night.
The staff was friendly and attentive. I was able to find a voucher for Zaika on Groupon, which knocked $80 of the bill. Even with the voucher, the meal was expensive, but I have to say it was worth it.
We went on Tuesday night so it was quiet. We sat outside and dine under the stars over Clarendon Town Center. My husband order a mojito and it had very little rum in the drink. That was the only disappointment of the meal. The food was good but standard Indian.
The restaurant makes a good impression when you arrive. Modern, clean design. The place settings have been arranged carefully with quality items. We dined on the early side, so there were only a few customers; however, by 7:00, the restaurant was comfortably full and there was a good sense of relaxed energy. The food arrived promptly; hot and aromatic. Friendly and attentive waiters.
It was disgusting experience, I don't think we will ever go back again. The food was served lukewarm and had no taste. Service was bad , after serving food nobody bothered to come to ask us if everything was ok . Also when we were done no one came to ask If we need anything else . It was a pathetic experience.
Nice ambience, good selection of entrees. My husband had Chicken tikka which was excellent, served on a heated pan like a fajita and tender..I had butter chicken which was not as fresh and the sauce was not as flavorful as I've had elsewhere. Otherwise naan was tasty. Beware of the alcohol prices. My husband got a draft beer which we found out later was $10!
I had the worst experience ever. The waiter and management was super rude. Ordered a soup and made it clear we didn't want cilantro in it (allergy). He bought soup with it and when told him to take it back, he had the audacity to say sorry but the restaurant policy you'll need to take it once ordered has been made. Didn't make any sense at all. They made us pay the bill !!!
My sister and I had a Groupon to use. We were pleasantly surprised. We got a bottle of South African pinotage that was quite good. For an appetizer, the vegetable samosa, which was nice paired with the tamarind sauce. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and my sister the chicken curry. They were both delicious. We also tried the garlic naan and the rosemary naan - definitely preferred the garlic. Service was very attentive, plus a manager stopped by to ask about our experience. Would definitely go back for some good Indian food.
The food was good, but the restaurant is desperately in need of repairs. The upholstery is damaged in many of the booths, the ceiling leaks, and the bathrooms are trashed. They also do not accept Groupons on holidays. If they did there might have been more than four people enjoying the New Years Day Sunday buffet.
