Zafron Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Had a great experience with the people that I brought along. The service wad great and the food was hot. The best Persian cuisine that I have had in the area. Would recommend to everyone who likes Persian. The also have a back party room for larger gatherings.
We generally love Zafron and the food, but we had an aweful experience. Waited over an hour for our food. Manager not very sympathetic, asked for bread multiple times and did not get it. And we could go on. At the end, the manager blamed it on the grill. Not sure we will ever go back again based on this experience.
We were welcomed immediately upon entering and seated promptly in a cozy booth. Our waiter introduced himself, took beverage orders, and returned with lightly toasted complementary pita and a traditional plate of feta, olives and fresh herbs. The lamb kabobs were perfectly cooked and the lentils with rice was a lovely complement. Although the main course was presented with a roasted pepper, when I asked for a roasted tomato, it appeared immediately. Service was attentive but not rushed. It was a pleasant way to spend a rainy evening.
Sooo... the restaurants decor is pleasant. Food was just ok but service not really satisfactory. Big group and after taking appetizers order, waitress disappeared. We tracked her to place entree order and wait started!! 40m later Food arrived all at the same time but cold!!
Desserts were a huge disappointment as well.
The portions are substantial and very tasty. Service was very good. Our waiter was courteous and helpful. My wife's lamb kabob was supposed to be medium but was served well done. Our waiter apologized and immediately responded by ordering a replacement which was prepared correctly and quickly.
The other two dinners were prepared as requested and were delicious.
Where do I begin? This place was fantastic! Amazing authentic Persian cuisine. I had the salmon and it was delicious, very fresh. My coworker had the Chinje and it looked fabulous as well. The lubio pollo rice was delectable! The staff were very friendly and attentive. My drink was refilled without hesitation. The music and atmosphere just made this experience very enjoyable and relaxing. The desserts are absolutely amazing!! Every bite I took of the creme puffs just had me in a state of euphoria! I highly recommend this establishment if you want a quite and peaceful lunch or dinner with absolutely delicious food.
