This was by far the most disappointing experience with Zaffiros I have ever had. We arrived at 6:30 thinking we would have time to eat and go to a 7:20 movie.
The food didn’t arrive until after 7:20 and I had to ask to have it to go. Our salad didn’t arrive until we asked and the pizza was subpar. Very frustrating.
We had three very patient young children who had to eat their food I a dark theater after waiting 50 minutes for it.
This is now the second time this has happened. Won’t be coming back any time soon.
Love your pizza and location with the Marcus Theatres.
Good pizza, horrible bar and table service, expensive drinks.
Seems like they had a lot of kids in training the night I was there. Service was slow. Chicken was very dry.
We think we got new staff training night, service was slow. Ultra thin pizza crust. Food was average.
We made a reservation and they were right on time. Always checking to make sure everything was good. Service was exceptional
The manager should be fired. A small crowd cripples this place. Tables are not cleared to turn them over. The kitchen gets backed up up with less than half the tables filled. The bar takes 15 minutes to get a drink. Poorly ran all the way around.
Went in before a movie on Christmas. Waitress didn’t come to the table for 20 minutes to take our order and that was only after she was flagged down. Were out of gluten free pizza crust and the gluten free pasta dish we were offered instead wasn’t good. I understand it was a holiday so I’m trying to keep an open mind but severely under staffed for a busy movie night when other restaurants are closed.
Service was terrible. Waited at least 20 minutes to just get water when we got there. Food was very mediocre. Manager came over twice. Took forever to get our bill. The manager did comp half the bill, but that didn’t make up for the lousy service we received! Probably won’t be back.
The pizza is always good. But everything we also tried to order it was out of stock.
The restaurant was closed for business, I wish open table would have known. I don't know why there were open reservations for a closed business. can you update your website, and open table with this information, it was very irritating to show up to a closed doors.
Good thin crust pizza. Separate entrance from theater.
Great venue before or after the movie. Very fun environment for all who attend.
I had made this reservation in advance for 10 people on Open Table. When I arrived the hostess acted like she didn't know about the reservation. We were given a table and had terrible service. It took a long time to receive our meals and when they did arrive, only half of it was brought, and some was incorrect. The other half took an additional 15 min or so. Our waitress disappeared and the manager took over. It took quite a bit of time to get our checks/pay, etc. and some items were also charged incorrectly on the bill. We were late to the movie we had all come to see. The manager gave us free movie passes to make up for it, however was disappointed in the service we received.
Waitress was not prompt at all!! We were one of the only tables in the place and we were late for our movie!!!! She was very unorganized and not very good
It was a good option for a dinner & movie date.
The drinks were not great - wife got the wrong wine at first, but our waitress was helpful and poured a replacement herself to make sure she got the right type. I ordered a Fat Tire on tap (one of their promo specials), but it tasted like the tap was skunky.
Our waitress Stephanie took good care of us, but she was definitely slammed with new tables when we came in at 6:00. Not her fault, just worth giving yourself a few extra minutes if you have an early show.
The food was quite good - both the cheese curds appetizer and supreme pizza came out quickly and were hot and delicious. We love thin crust pizza, and Zaffiro's does it well. Given how busy they were with a rush of people right before the 7:00 movies, I was impressed.
It was fine!
Our reserved table was held for us despite coming late. The waitress was pleasant and helpful with suggestions relative to some of the more popular menu choices
My Italian sandwich was perfect. A wonderful restaurant , steps away from the movie theater .
.
Calamari as a starter was carefully prepared, with red sauce on one side and a green basil sauce on the other. We had the thin crust pizza "Sausage Special" and followed that with raspberry gelato for a treat. We have visited several times before to relive the enjoyment. The food quality is wonderful.
This restaurant can't handle crowds of any size. Be ready took wait or have service compromised.
Love this place! It isn't easy to find a good thin crust but this pizza is awesome & the chips are unique and delicious. Nice comfortable, clean atmosphere.
The waitress was a bit unusual. She told one of our party that she couldn't have another wine "glass" since they are all dirty and being washed. (not necessary to share this information)
Also 2 people ordered Pinot Grigio during happy hour, it was served, then the waitress returned to tell the women that it was not on the happy hour list (previously confirmed that it was) and asked if they wanted to return it for a cheaper included wine....the ladies had already been drinking it.
Pizza's always good. Could use a better wine list, expecially white wine.
This is the third time I've gone to this location only to find out they don't have my reservation. Not sure if the location is a fault or open table.
I had made reservations three days ahead. They wanted to seat us right by the door. They have a back room. Which we were seated, but were told that it closed for sweeping. This was at 7PM. Which seemed to early for them to be cleaning the back room since it was a Saturday night. I wanted it to be a special dinner for Father's Day. But I was disappointed with the waitress's attitude. I noticed that there was not a manager on that night. I could tell that the employees did not want to work. The pizza was GREAT!
We often choose Zaffiro's for dinner with friends. It's relaxing, comfortable atmosphere is great for meeting people you see all the time or not so often. The pizza never disappoints, it is definitely one of our favorites. Their homemade chips are great while you wait for your order. Zaffiro's is one of our favorite places. You have to give it a try.
Call ahead for a reservation -- this place gets busy!!
The food was okay, but nothing to scream about. I expected better service. The hostess was sweet and everything, but our waitress seemed like she didn't even want to be there. I did not see her smile once when we were there and she seemed to be forcing us out of the restaurant. Maybe they needed the table? I don't know, but she asked us if we were done before we had even put our silverware down.
Booths are far from the table, so you must sit on the very edge of the seat. Some of the pizza crust was burnt. The sauce is very sweet. Server friendly, but had to flag her down usually. Other staff need to smile more.
Enjoyed a party where my daughter had birthday. Everything was great, pizza good, service very good, rewards members get nice pizza deal. Only negative might be the fans were on too fast and our pizza being good and thin got cold too fast.
Great thin crust pizza which I love. If you are planning on dining there to catch a movie I highly recommend making reservations I have tried to get in other times and the restaurant fills pretty quickly.
This is my third time eating here. (I had pizza all three times.) The first time was fine. The last two times, the pizza was over-baked and slightly burnt. One time, we complained to our waitress who said some people ask for it to be baked well-done. (Huh?) Well, we didn't ask for that! Also, there wasn't much flavor. I've had frozen pizza that tastes better. I won't be back. For the the price, I expected much more.
My wife and I were out for dinner and a movie and Zaffiro's is attached to the theater. Because of this it's very busy and you are better off trying to reserve a table instead of walking in.
The food is decent. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's great, but it wasn't bad. The service was really good especially considering the crowd and the food did come quickly. Sraff was very friendly and accommodating. Overall for dinner and a movie it worked well.
Table was ready when we arrived. Waitress was knowledgeable on menu items. Pizza's we ordered were hot and delicious and wait was not very long. We all had a very nice time.
Great pizza- nice staff- definitely plan on going.
Very nicely decorated. The food was fantastic. Service was not quite up to par. There was about 10 minutes we did not see him. This was right when refills were needed. Other than that, It was great!
Food took over 20 minutes to arrive even though the place was empty. Chicken overcooked, hard, dry, and barely warm. Very small portion of pasta. Salad was only lettuce. Restaurant was very cold. Not going back
We come to Zaffiro's quite often. We had guests from out of town and friends from in town meet us at 7:30 on Saturday. No movies just dinner. Our drink orders were wrong, some of us got our meal and others didn't. We had to remind our waiter to get our food. Part of the meal ( vegetables) weren't even made so we told them to just skip it. I wasn't finished with my drink and it was taken away. Our waiter said I handed it to him and our whole table replied "no she didn't" For one of the meals ( which was a pasta dish) they forgot most of the noodles. When the waiter came back(my son asked for noodles because you could count how many noodles he had) he brought a completely different type of noodle.
Christian was our server and was tentative and helpful with suggestions. Food was fantastic. Brought my 11 year old and a few friends to celebrate her birthday. We will be back!
We just love Zaffiro's. The food is ALWAYS so good. Whether dinner and a movie or just dinner alone, it's one of our favorite places to dine!!
An energetic pre and post movie hot spot at the Ridge Cinema, Zaffiro's delivers very good pizza and quick reliable service. Agreat selection of beers and house specialty cocktails provide a great compliment to a classic thin crust pizza. Housemade chips are well seasoned and make for a great appetizer. The only complaint is that the pizza crust is not as crispy as Zaffiro's original East side crust (a matter of an old seasoned brick oven on Farwell we've been told) and the sauce was a little sparse. A great stop before or after a movie.
