Za Za's Clarendon Hills
Great home cooked Italian food best favorite restaurant of ours
Za Za's serves wonderful and delicious Italian food! It is a neighborhood go-to restaurant for us.
ZaZa's is a favorite of ours and I always get the Whitefish...it's amazing!
Loved the food- although my friend received a glass of skunked wine, which they replaced quickly- food was delicious.
Server was attentive and friendly too!
Love the ambiance of this place! However, the woman delivering food to the table was extremely unpleasant and rude.
Great traditional style Italian food, and a great bar area. It’s the only Italian place we go to In the area.
Really good food and service. Will definitely be back.
Being hearing good things about ZaZa’s. Service was great as well as the food!
Service great. A nice wine list and the food is wonderful.whitefish is fabulous
Great food in a great place with great service the nanas gravy and neck bones, the egg plant parm reminded me of moms
Great food and atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyable and our server steered us wisely with her knowledge of the menu. Very busy on a Tuesday so glad we made reservations.
We always have a great experience at Za Za's and this time was no different! The food is fabulous, atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff and management are beyond friendly and accommodating.
Tom, the owner was wonderful! The food was outstanding!
Fantastic place for good food. One of my favorite spots.
I love Za Za's. They make the best stuffed artichoke I have ever had. It is a bit pricey, but the ingredients are high quality and everything is prepared so well. It is a small, intimate place and when they are busy sometimes it feels a little tight. Za Za's is my favorite place to go for romantic dates such as Valentine's Day or Anniversaries.
We've been coming for years when we want an intimate atmosphere with great food
Great food and service!! Love the ambience yiu can actually hear everyone - we had a party of nine and it was no problem to have conversations across the table!
My wife and I love the cozy atmosphere. With great food and service as well!
Zaza's is our go to restaurant for that special meal. You can always be assured of a wonderful meal with great variety. I always have a difficult time narrowing down my choices because there are so many wonderful options. Great place, service and food, always.
Very busy evening, which we’re contributing to the small breaks in service and attentiveness. Food was exceptional as usual from fish/seafood to pasta to dessert. Definitely consider ZaZa’s a neighborhood gem!
Entrée was very good. Martinis for almost $13 overpriced. Baked clams were very small. Shrimp Dijon appetizers are average and overpriced. Four shrimp for $17 cost more than our entrée. Way overpriced. Would not recommend appetizers or drinks to friends because of these reasons.Entrées were good though.
Love the menu and food. My only drawback is that the seating is a bit tight, but not a big deal. Decent outdoor seating in the summer.
Food and service are always great! Hadn't been there in a while and glad things haven't changed!
The food was fantastic! Our waiter, Bobby, was awesome!
We had such a great dinner at ZaZa's. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The highlight, however, was Julius, our server. Julius was knowledgable and went out of his way to make sure we were well cared for. Baked oyster special and Chicken Limone were standouts.
Very dependable location for ambiance, service, and especially the food.
Some dishes are better than others, but all are well presented and very delicious.
We try and go to Za Za's at every opportunity we can! We love this neighborhood Italian fare restaurant!
The Dover Sole special was the best my husband has ever tasted. He did have a problem with his Bombay Sapphire martini. Had to send it back two times as it had a fruity taste probably because the shaker it was mixed in was not cleaned out properly from the previous cocktail.
I had the Salmon dish with mustard sauce, fettuccine, green beans, and spinach which was very good.
The intimate atmosphere and friendly staff make ZaZa’s a neighborhood favorite spot.
We love the food here but making a reservation doesn’t help with eating on time. We are often directed to the bar because no tables are open and bar is usually packed. Good thing the food is delicious!
have been there many times. overall the food is excellent ambience great but our night was ruined by our waitresses nonchalant way of handling the situation
my husband ordered pizza with selected items on it a busboy delivered it when we saw the waitress she had an attitude saying She did not deliver it to the table so what it what is all that is what you ordered
my husband proceeded to tell her there’s mushrooms on it she went and got her tickets and where she proceeded rudely to read off the ticket and realized the ticket was for another table. We understand busy times in the restaurant make mistakes but it’s the way that she accused us and was so nonchalant she wanted to make up another one we said don’t worry will just head on home we wanted to leave
she was rather rude have another glass of wine ..we didn’t want any wine we wanted to leaveGive me the time to make one. meanwhile my pizza was cold i was not going to eat in front of him. they could have offered to warm up mine or keep mine till his was made. they rushed his order not listening to the fact we wanted to leave. listen to the customer we were not asking free pizza.
after everything she even asked if we wanted a desert
we were so irritated by the way she handled the situation she staired us down I saw her being hugged by another person we gave her 15% tip we continued to polite
admit fault and move on
Excellent food and service
Good place. Food was very good. Crowded on Saturday's.
very nice meal and evening with friends. would definitely come back soon
The food was good but we were not happy with the hostess. We showed up and explained that we had reservations at 6 pm through Open Table. We were told our reservation was not in the system. We even showed her the email from Open Table. I understand that this is not her problem if it is not in their system but she could have handled the situation in a kinder manner.
Our server did an expert job of taking care of the customers, all by herself.
The food was served hot and flavorful. There is a nice selection on the menu plus there is a daily special.
Delicious food, great service. Always a great night out at Zaza’s!
Best Italian food in the burbs! Staff is fantastic!
We have eaten many times at this restaurant and have found your service, food quality, ambiance, etc. to be solid and consistently good. However, our visit the other night was nothing but disappointing.
Our server was inattentive and our service slow the entire evening. I had to ask for another server to ask for bread and water to be brought to the table as we waited. This other server handled my request and had a coy and clever reply that made light of the fact that we had to ask for these items. The food quality was fair but the quality was not what I expect for the prices that you charge at your establishment.
I was just ready to chalk this dinner up to an off night for the restaurant staff by asking for our check as the server was walking by our table. However, suddenly the lighting went off and apparently there was a power outage. At this point, we were there 1.5 hours already and I was told by the server that it may take some time to sort out our check. 10-15 minutes later, she returned with our check and was informed that the credit card machine would not work tonight. It was asked of me to leave my credit card # and the transaction would be handled at a later time manually. I refused to do that and was able to dig up $140 in cash to cover a $131 bill. The server then gave me a nasty look and walked away.
I will probably not return to this restaurant. I believe that the server thought that I was a jerk as I was visibly frustrated at the point where we wanted to pay and leave as quick as we could. Little did she know at the time that the power outage was the icing on the cake and an appropriate ending for such a poorly executed dining experience by the staff that evening.
