Z Cucina di spirito Ratings and Reviews
Our first visit was on Valentine’s Day for dinner and we really enjoyed our experience. The place was very spacious and didn’t feel crammed even though it’s not a very big place. This was very nice considering it was a busy holiday for eating out. Server was nice but we really thought the person refilling our water glasses was very polite and seemed to fill them always at the right time, something we took notice of. We would definitely revisit this restaurant and look forward to it!
This is our 2nd visit in the past three weeks. We had to made another visit to Columbus and wanted to try Z Cucino again. The test of an excellent dining experience is having another great meal at the same place. Our first experience was excellent, followed by another excellent experience.
Thank you Z Cucino

I made reservation for 6 people. Unfortunately my friend got sick and couldn’t join us. When 4 of us arrived at the restaurant I told the host/owner that unfortunately it was just 4 of us for dinner.., he reacted in an arrogante and sarcastic way. If I was alone with my husband I’d have left but another couple was with us so we stayed. The service was fine, the food was below our expectations... I will say very below expectations.
I won’t go back ... it is not worth it... there are better restaurants in town. It is overpriced for the quality...
it was my first experience in the restaurant and I am very disappointed...
There are so many wonderful aspects about Z Cucina. The food is made fresh in house, a quality that’s evident with every bite you take. The service is outstanding. . .from the kind and hospitable owner (who remembers his customers), to the bartenders who can mix the best martinis. . .to the wonderfully kind servers (Hayley is really awesome) who have the confidence to recommend dishes (and they’re spot on, too).
Z Cucina is exceptional and worth the try. You’ll love it.
I travel quite a bit for work so I’ve eaten at a lot of different places and this is still one of my favorites. The family/neighborhood atmosphere and service are great. The owner greets you at the door and is genuinely thankful that you are there. The food is always great! The Risotto Balls are a must!!!
Marilyn and I received a Z recommendation from a friend. We live in Springfield and made the trip to eat at Z's. What a great experience from A to of course, Z. The owner greeted us and spent some time making us feel at home. We will be back and hope to make this gem a regular stop.
Thanks for a great experience.

Very nice restaurant. We went to celebrate our anniversary, and were "surprised" with an awesome chocolate mousse dessert. The waitress was very informative, and the food was quite good, although the two pasta dishes we ordered were a bit more spicy than I anticipated - my husband, however, thought the spiciness was great. We don't use valet, and had some difficulty finding parking, but it was a small price to pay for a nice time at a nice restaurant.
This was our first time visiting, so we were not sure what to expect. The bar and appetizers were fabulous. The Oregon Pinot is excellent. The service was outstanding and the owner was so much a part of our experience. This is very rare, most establishments are run so poorly, due to the lack of involvement of the management or owner. The food we will have to say was just okay. We are fans of rib-eye steaks, but this one had no flavor at all... it tasted similar to a sirloin. There was no zing when taking a bite.
I am not sure if this is typical, or just a mistake. The red snapper was the same. No pizazz, but not terrible, both just okay.
If/ when we return, we’ll definitely try the pizzas or Italian entrees... maybe we’ll have better luck :)
Nice birthday evening at Z Cucina di spirito. It's a beautiful room and service here is very good and personal. Bartender made a mistake on my drink and it was fixed promptly and made well the second time. The food was very good but not five star because of the following quibbles - Caesar Salad was an unusual but uninspired and indifferently executed preparation, House made Italian sausage appetizer was served little more than lukewarm (why?). On the other hand, the Tortelli and sauce were superb as was the Swordfish special. And they served us a very nice complimentary birthday dessert. It's a pleasant, friendly place with very good food - could perhaps just use a little more inspiration on some of the final preparation in the kitchen to get to that five star rating.
