This was is quaint sushi spot, with some good sushi and sashimi. I especially liked the Golden Koi sushi. The service wasn't amazing but it didn't make the dinning experience less enjoyable. It's only a few blocks (avenue blocks) from the 9th street path station, so its easy for people from New Jersey to get there. Overall a good experience.

Went just before closing—Public Theater nearby & play ran late. Excellent & unusual sushi. Very welcoming despite late hour. Tasty!

Don’t let the small, nondescript space deceive you. The menu offers tons of mouth watering, creative sushi options as well as some excellent appetizers and cooked entrees. The Sushi was fresh and extremely good. The Service was excellent and prices were reasonable for a NYC sushi restaurant.
I will definitely return!

Always great food. A simple looking place but often some superior fish.

We ordered karaage, yakitori, miso soup, and a sushi platter. It was delicious except the karaage was too thin, the yakitori was too small, but the soup was good. The sushi already had wasabi in it; that was not so good. There were other open seats but they placed us next to strangers for no reason.

Never realized such a good spot was so close by and regret not getting to it sooner. First place I had a chance to try monkfish liver and I am ready for more. Have some creative takes on sushi rolls and appetizers. Still so many other dishes there to try. Next time...

I took my son to see a show in the city on the occasion of his eighteenth birthday. We had dinner afterwards at Yuba. The sushi was excellent. Presentation was classic, but there were subtle, delightful touches. A hint of lemon? A hint of aromatic herb? Our server was like an angel: warm and pleasant, while reading our minds, and appearing with what we needed exactly when we needed it. It was a lovely meal. We will go there again.

I have been going to Yuba, a small, very, very nice neighborhood restaurant, once or twice a month for years and it has been consistently delicious-outstanding sushi (try the specials, especially the one with truffles, also the amberjack). Cooked dishes (eg rock shrimp, tempura, black cod) also great. The service is outstanding and the staff is amazingly attentive and exceptionally well informed. Can’t say enough good words about this restaurant.

The sashimi was good. The other dishes were disappointing. I love mushrooms so I had both the salad and side dish. Both weren't as good as I had hoped.

My boyfriend and I have eaten here numerous times. The food is delicious and the service is superb. The only disappointing thing is that the last two times we've gone, they were out of tempura ice cream and said they'd have it "in a few days/weeks." The fried ice cream there is very good, I just wished that they had it when we were there.

Great care to the food, great service and low key for high end cuisine... some inventive dishes and seasonal offering... perhaps too many truffles offering, but the recommended dishes were certainly great...

We go downtown to enjoy the wonderful sushi at Yuba. And, after seeing what comes out of the kitchen, we can't wait to expand our options. Friendly service, excellent food.
