Yoshi's has served Japan's best traditional dishes to Bay Area patrons since 1972. The menu highlights artfully arranged sushi, fresh grilled seafood, classic Japanese dishes, and vegetarian fare. Patrons can kick off their shoes in the traditional Japanese tatami seating or dine at tables. Expert sushi chefs create sushi and sashimi to order either in the restaurant or in the jazz house.     menu choices varied, and group enjoyed their selections. service was ill-timed, with entrees arriving at different times. waiter less than enthusiastic. admittedly, restaurant was busy with pre-show crowd. that might have contributed to uneven service. food is well-prepared.

    LOVED it. Great service. Amazing food, delicious and didnt break the bank. Saw a show after dinner and got a front row table! Five stars!! It was my sister's birthday, and they brought her a complementary slice of sumptuous chocolate fudge cake with whipped cream, topping Yum

    The food was delicious and the service was great. I've been to Yoshis several times, usually before a concert, and the food never misses. I was really surprised that they give so much food for a kids meal. What a great deal!

    We enjoyed everything…including the music venue…so very much. The waiter was amazing, made really good recommendations for our meal, was attentive and friendly. We plan to return soon and take our friends with us.

    Due to the crowd, service was good but slow. Tsunami ramen and calamari tempura were very good. Then a walk across the restaurant for our reserved front-row seats for the lively Cuban band. A perfect evening.

    I hadn't eaten there in awhile so had forgotten how good the food tasted. We had a lovely experience, didn't feel rushed and had plenty of time to get to the Jazz show. Great overall experience and I felt the it was really a good value.

    Underwhelmed with the food. Although, large quantity of food are provided, the sushi/sashimi are not the freshest. We had sake (salmon) and hamachi…both were pre-cut and displayed. The hamachi had a fishiness to it that no amount of ginger could rid the taste.
