Shrimp & Scallops 'Kakiage' Fritter
Great to see Yoshis back in action and tasty as ever.
Went with family to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. With the exception of some bland brussel sprouts and french fries, the food was wonderful.
The servers were all fantastic with the exception of our main waiter trying to upsell us on wine and appetizers and not telling us that fries were extra and didn't come with our kids burger's
A bit overpriced. Cost came out to $54 pp, and they didn't tell us that gratuity was automatically added at over 20% for parties of 6 or more (there were 7 of us).
The live musician was awesome. We would go back, but probably not with a group.
The food was excellent. It was our families’ first outing since COVID and my 16 yo said the food was among his favorite ever. We chose this restaurant because Nate Lopez was performing and our teenager enjoys listening to him play the guitar. It was a wonderful evening with my husband and son!
The service and food was spectacular as always. The live music in the dining room was wonderful. Always a family special favorite.
The live music, in the dining room, is awesome. Really helps enhance the dining experience. I hope Yoshi's keeps that even after the main jazz club re-opens. The food was outstanding and the service was good. Overall, Yoshi's is BACK and I highly recommend making a reservation to make sure you can get a table.
It was very enjoyable. Yoshi's has always been a place of comfort and enjoyment.
Great to be out among dinners and musicians having a good time. Really helpful and friendly staff.
Great ambience! ! We came here to see the “ Eddie Pasternak jazz trio” music is amazing plus the food and service are excellent!! Yoshi’s also doing a great job keeps everyone in safe distance... definitely will recommend to everyone!!
Yoshi’s was able to accommodate us despite being 30 minutes late and we are quite grateful for that it’s turned out to be a really nice Mother’s Day
i love my mother’s day dinner
and loved the food
The food is superb and the entertainment; lively music is just amazing =)
It was nice to have a wonderful sushi dinner after restaurants have re-opened. Yoshis never disappoints and this time was no exception.
I had a lovely Mother’s Day dinner there with my sons. My only mild complaint was I couldn’t enjoy the live music as much as I wanted because the overall noise level was a little high. Otherwise the food was delicious and service was very good.
This was a fantastic choice for our Mother's Day celebration. We fit perfectly into a booth and ordered one of the family platters. We are still raving about the steak and the cod! We can't wait for another occasion to return to Yoshi's.
I had called a week before my reservation requesting a table near the live music, but when we got there, they gave us a table away from the stage. We told the hostess about our request and he said "this is the only table we have". I did not appreciate that.
Service was great, but music was so loud we couldnt have basic conversation at the table.
We had the best time at Yoshi's our servers name was Robert, he was awesome. the food was better than expected oh my goodness we enjoyed ourselves immensely..
It was so great to get back to our favorite sushi restaurant. The food was just as good as we remember it. It was also nice to see a friendly face, our waitress has been there for as long as we can remember and we were both so happy to see each other!
Had reservations for a table for 4. Hostess up front advised no tables were available and tried to sit us at the sushi counter area. I explained we reserved a table and will not be sitting at this location. They quickly accommodated our party and we had a great experience after that. Food was excellent and so was the service.
Beautiful, fresh delicious Japanese Omakase dishes. Having fresh sushi, drinking ice cold Japanese beer, and listening to smooth R&B guitar music on a warm beautiful Oakland evening was absolutely perfect. So happy Yoshi’s is back and better than ever! Our servers were helpful, polite, and attentive too. Couldn’t ask for a better group of workers. We also kept our masks on when we spoke to servers or went to restrooms out respect for servers, even though we are all vaccinated. Let’s all continue to be safe so we can stay open!
Everything was great, including our server, Nick! The only small issue we had was that we had hoped to be listening to the live music, but our table was in a far corner and we couldn't hear them at all.
Great place to break the long lock-down! Good food, cool staff and most especially live music: JAZZ! I I can't wait for YOSHI's to be all the way back.
Food and service was excellent. While I’m a big fan of live music it can get a bit noisy in dining room and I’d move the band to the bar area
Oh my goodness, I was soooo happy! From the sushi to the salad to the tiger shrimp, pork chops and dessert; everything was so fresh, delicious and beautifully arranged on our plates; Yoshi's is our favorite Bay Area restaurant. It was my husband's birthday. He was so happy, which made me very happy. We were treated to Live soothing Jazz in the dining room. We are truly grateful that Yoshi's survived the last challenging year. Shout out to our server Robert! It was a wonderful evening! This was our first stop after not dining out for over a year! Excellent choice! Thank you!
First time dining inside since the Pandemic. It was overall a very good experience but the restaurant was quite busy and it didn't seem like they were limiting seating. It was a little unerving to be dining in such close proximity to so many other people. The food was excellent and the service was also good. I really liked having live music while we were dining. Given that I'm fully vacinated, I think I would happily do this again.
Amazing experience! A+ Had a blast with my friends.
Front of the house was EXCELLENT! Daji hope I spelled it right made moms birthday wonderful.
Pleasant surprise that they had live music for people dining. Made for a great time.
I love your restaurant. The food is always amazing! I just wish your salmon was fresh caught, from Alaska. The prices are high, which I don’t mind. I’d rather pay for top shelf salmon though.
So glad Yoshi's is back. The food seems to be better. They have reworked their menu. However, I recommend the Seafood Fritter. Delicious. However, make sure you are vaccinated. There is no such thing as "social distancing". They have opened the nightclub for dining. But don't let them stick you back there. It is dark and the music is in the Lobby. But if you want that social distance and quiet, the maybe you will like it.
The was my first indoor dining experience with Live entertainment since the Covid pandemic began. The host, servers and entertainers were practicing safety requirements. The food and service was excellent, tasteful and served promptly. The spirit of the patrons was happy and everyone was excited to be out and be seen!
Great to get back to Yoshi's! Food was better than before.
I’m glad Yoshi’s is back. We celebrated a special occasion, the food was impeccable and the service was outstanding. Looking forward to going back
Overall, dining was wonderful. Prices are a bit overpriced on sushi . . . one order of Uni Nigiri at $17.00 is a bit much. And the pieces were about half the size of other sushi restaurants. Just the same, I would dine at Yoshi's again.
So glad Yoshi's is back. While the live music in the dining room was fun, I'm looking forward to the the reopening of the theater.
We ate at the sushi bar. Limited assortment of fish -- not as much as usual. Music was very loud. Service was great.
Everything was great except for the table… edges were sticky.
I tried to clean with my alcohol wipe but couldn’t get it off.
I think Yoshi’s is a very good place to eat at. Though the music is very loud the food is excellent. Overall, definitely a 5 star place and recommend it to anyone who wants to eat INSIDE of a restaurant.
Started with the Hamachi Crudo, then the Beet & Mizuna Salad, then the Salmon Burger. Finished with the Yuza Brulee and Don Julio Reposado. I told my server (Kandace) that I drink lots of water with my meals and I NEVER had an empty glass. She was GREAT
Love that Yoshi's adapted with live music in the dining area. Great service and delicious food.
